You didn't mention that in the OP. The only time you mentioned blowing other people up was using the grenade normally for room breaching, which is currently possible. What I would like to see if the less clumsy ARMA 3 grenade system. I don't think we need to over complicate things though.
-
In what way? Your only example was blowing yourself up, which seams to defy the point in a survival sim.
-
No. You'd get 50+ with everything maxed, object detail (only affects the amount of grass loaded) set to 'normal' and post-process effects disabled though. You'd struggle with very low FPS on low settings.
-
Yes, I understand how grenades works. But we don't need separate controls for pulling the pin etc. for the same reason that we don't need separate controls for removing the old mag, inserting the new one and then chambering a round when reloading. I wouldn't say adding auto-heal is in any way a similar argument, no.
-
Your CPU is powerful enough to run on 'normal' settings, but as above your graphics card is really weak and will prevent you from playing. It's probably not upgradeable either, unfortunately.
-
My point was that it's over complicating a simple action without really adding anything to the game.
-
If it's a Steam copy - have you tried verifying your game cache? If not, might have to go for a full re-installation.
-
I don't really see the point. It seems like adding separate controls for the left and right legs while walking to me.
-
I already answered you earlier. Not, it probably won't run DayZ mod. Sorry! Yup, should run high settings no problem.
-
I try to avoid killing people when possible but if I see a dead body I'll check it for supplies and I'm sure a lot of other people do the same. I think everyone in Chernarus would have blood on their hands. xD

There are first-person only servers. :S

ARMA 2 is a game in it's own right. Why should you get a free copy of DayZ if you buy ARMA?
-
But why? What's the point in trying to survive when there's a random chance you could lose your char when you log off or in? Might as well just deathmatch in Cherno because 1) I might lose my char anyway and 2) even if I die I might start with a geared up char next time. It just makes no sense.

Can everyone do me a favour when the SA comes out?

It'll be like the main hive days. There will be strict rules that you must obey as admin and abusing your position means losing your server. -
I think so. So I take the long route up from Kamanka to Zel and spend an hour or so getting my basic gear then log off for a while. I then log back on later and I'm deathmatching in Cherno? Why? :S
-
Probably not, that graphics card is really, really, really low spec. You'd probably just about run DayZ mod on low with borderline unplayable FPS in cities. CSGO and BF3 should be okay, CSGO especially. IMO 1.6 and CSS are still better though.

Most of the suggestions for reducing KoS

It's not too late for game changers, it's too late to head in a 'gamey', non-authentic direction where the player is limited in their choices. No disabling of friendly-fire and definitely no safe zones. -

I definitely agree. Slowly learning how to survive was the fun part for me, I think by relying on tutorials and loot maps you're robbing yourself of that. -
In DayZ Commander under additional launch parameters in the settings tab try these... -cpuCount=4 -exthreads=7 -maxvram=4096 -maxmem=2048 -nosplash -high -xp
-
Okay, first off in ArmA2OA.cfg try these values... GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1; GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1; Secondly, are you launching through DayZ Commander? And is your video memory set to 'default' in your in-game graphics settings? EDIT: Also, have you tried going into your BIOS and disabling your CPU's HT feature? It's not helpful in any way for gaming and actually hinders performance a bit in ArmA.
-
^This. It's physically impossible for the minute.
-
I don't think that will help, lol. If I play with everything on disabled/(very) low i get 150-200 FPS, on max settings around 30 and if I disable post-process effects and set object detail to normal I get 40-80 FPS. OP - what config tweaks and startup parameters are you currently using?

How to find a ghillie suit and camo clothing

He pretends to be Arabic but his IP says otherwise. -
I know. The m in i5 480m and GT 330m stands for mobile, i.e. laptop. Upgrade. It won't run smoothly on that machine, unfortunately.
-
On low settings I'd say ~30FPS, sinking to <20 in cities. I think you'll be a bit bottle-necked by the 570 there but it should run smoothly on normal-high settings.
