Will run just shy of max settings nicely. Personally, I'd go with the GTX 770 over the 680 though; it's both cheaper and more powerful.

Like I said before - I have the game already, I can see the progress that the devs are making and can assure you that it will be completed. If you're trolling you aren't very good at it. :S

Yeah, that's a pretty well rounded budget build. You'll run the mod (normal to high settings) and standalone no problem on that.

I really like lone wolfing it, everything's scarier when you're alone. It gets lonely and boring for me after a while though, I find that I play a lot more when I have a group to play with.

Good framing and foreground and background in every shot. I think someone's a closet photographer.

Probably just me 50% of the time and 2-4 the rest of the time. I guess a lot of people that aren't really playing at the minute (myself included) will be super active again when the standalone comes out though, so maybe more; it's hard to say.

Yeah, or the other way around. Either way the weak component limits the performance of the stronger one.

I have to agree with Skypill. What's the point in splashing out on a Haswell CPU when you're gonna be bottlenecked? IMO the guy would be much better off with an ivy-bridge and a stronger graphics cards.

He did say 40-60, which is perfectly possible. :) He needs to switch out the 650Ti for a 760 or better if he wants that frame rate on close to max settings though.

If I'm really desperate I tend to hatchet zombies as they often drop cans of food and drink, usually I prefer to hunt though.

I usually just double tap alt as soon as I get in a vehicle so that my mouse just controls free-look.

This.^ I think if anything we should be slowing down the pace of the game. What's the point in having a 200km2 map when you can run from Kamenka to Berezino in 45 minutes? :S

Bottlenecking is when a weak link in your system prevents the other parts from working as well as they could otherwise.

Depends entirely on your budget. I'd recommend something like the GTX 560Ti as a minimum, you could go for the 660 or 760 if you've got a bit more to spend. ...Or you could always go for the 7850 or 7870 if you want to go the AMD route.

The infection isn't the zombie virus, it's like an infected wound or bacterial infection - hence it being curable with antibiotics. The survivors in DayZ are immune to the zombie virus, hence not being infected yet while everyone else is.

Well, the bad news is your gonna have to buy yourself a dedicated graphics card. You're running on integrated graphics, which aren't really meant for gaming. The good news is that the rest of your system isn't awful and you should actually be able to run DayZ mod (and most other games) pretty well if you buy a decent card.
