The main question is, is your friendly completely uninformed? :) On topic.. didn't even realise it was april, but then again it has only been so for 1 hour and 25 minutes for me. I'm not much of an april fool's guy. I'm too nice to prank people.

1. Don't pick up car parts unless you're really geared and wanna make some sort of camp/base, have 3-4 bandages, 2 sodas is enough to have with you. 2. Morphine isn't something you really need, if zombies are hitting you a lot you're not doing it right. Run into a building, preferably with stairs, and then take them out. Food shouldn't be that hard to find, not sure why you're having trouble with that. If you got wood and matches you can make a fire and cook raw meat from animals. 3. Yes going north can decrease the risk of dying, the question is if you wanna run possibly for an hour just to find some shiny weapon? What are your objectives anyway? Would help if you elaborated on that.

Food and water should also decline faster. Make beans and other conserved food more rare, there's way too much of that shit right now. Remove hero suit bonuses, as much as I like incentive to be good it should not in any way make you superior. Instead make it supershiny or customizable.

Indeed. I was just thinking that it was a meaningless debate since there's not really much to do about it? I mean, lets say Rocket doesn't want to allow TS, Skype and what not. What is he supposed to do about that? And it's not cheating! You can use side channel for talking anyway, altho most servers doesn't allow that due to the nuisance.

Not sure what's the point of a debate like this? What do you want to accomplish by it?

I'm swedish, 20 years old, not new to the game, i'm quite bad at navigating and not the best shot due to sometimes mediocre framerate( depends on the server tho, servers with too much custom stuff seems to hog up the pc a lot). PM me with your skype/TS server info if you're interested.

Buy the games on steam, download them, start both one time. Download and install arma 2 beta patch. Start dayzcommander and install latest dayz version with it. EASYMODEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Also dayz standalone will not be coming out in a while, i read that alpha is likely to come out in june. So the actual "finished" game is probably months away, possibly late this year. Just think carefull before buying it, especially if you're only buying it mainly for dayz. The mod can be frustrating but also rewarding when you play with other people. The fun in it is as much about the game itself as the social bits. Edit: Private servers rarely have hackers that stays too long ( they get permabanned) There are a lot of good private servers, i can recommend dayzbanana. If you're in european timezone we could play together if you want, just pm me with your skype. It's challenging to find people to play with regularly :l

I'm interested, but it depends. Is the server really low population? I find it quite meaningless if there's no player interaction for miles and miles.

There are servers out there with the skin, probably a lot of them. I was on one earlier that had it, of course i don't remember what server it was. Also i disagree that it looks cool, i think it looks quite out of place, especially if you're playing on the chernarus map.

Not sure why you specifically want someone around your age, in my experience younger ppl are more likely to judge irrelevant things like "squeaky voice" like you call it or other things like spelling errors. I'm 20 years old myself but just recently been playing with a guy who's only 14. I wouldn't say i'm 20, i'm more like 16 in my mindset, kinda goofy at times. I tend to sometimes just mention things others might find completely irrelevant like "this rain is nice" or "there's a zombie on the roof over there, derp". If your mind is set on the range 13-16, then so be it. Otherwise i'd be glad to join up on skype. I'm Swedish btw and my english is quite decent, altho more so when it comes to spelling than talking sometimes.

What timezone are you in? I'd rather not play with someone who's too far away(timezone wise)

Not really, it's basically still the same game. Just less buggy and with some new stuff. Also loads of mods and private servers with more vehicles/weps and such things. Some servers are even too easymode( makes me question the future of dayz a bit too be honest)

Play with someone, doesn't have to someone you know irl. Just get to know someone in the game or ask someone in the forum, use skype or join a ts server and you're set. Playing alone rarely works out, even if it does.. Is it fun? I never enjoy playing this game by myself, so incredibly boring that way. Edit: Also you do need someone else to give you a transfusion so if you don't then you'd have to trust a COMPLETE stranger to do it, i'd say there's a big chance you'd be shot on sight or when you're crouching for him to give you one.

Are you using dayz commander? If not simply uninstall all the games, reinstall them, start both up. Then download arma 2 beta patch. Then start dayzcommander and install the latest dayz version. Enjoy your game. If this doesn't solve it then maybe it's time to format your computer?
