    Keys, Transportation, and Vehicles

    I think all these ideas would detract from the game. Many people seem to be posting ideas to make the game easier, spawning on each other, safe areas etc. This isn't what makes the game great , it is the fear, the uncertainty, the difficulty, the challenge.

    The skill in this game is your skill. Not some numbers like every other rpg out there. Its what you DO that makes this game so good. You learn your own skills and get better every time you play. All a skill system does is stop you doing things it actually limits you rather than adding something to the experience imo.

    A quick thought on global chat

    If the game hears that you are speaking into a mic it should attract zombies to you unless you are using the ingame channels correctly :) The mic has to be plugged into your PC so the game can get the input from it. That way people using third part VOIP will be zombie magnets! :)

    Walkie Talkies.

    I posted this idea in another thread " I think Direct connection should be the only chat channel really. Global chat does break my immersion. Id like it if you could have 3 talk modes which worked whether you were typing or voice chatting. mode 1 : whispering. typing and talking is only heard by those stood right with you. But zombies will never hear it. mode 2: Normal range. Typing and talking has a larger radius but can alert zombies that are close to you. mode 3: shouting. Typing and talking can be heard by people in a large radius but it will draw zombies in your direction." Adding walkie talkies to this would make for a great way to communicate safely with your friends.

    " But I would hope everyone could agree that a skill system would add more depth to the game." No i totally disagree. The joy of this game comes from the level playing field and the human interactions, the human reactions. The harsh penalties, the uncertainty the fear. Adding skills to a game where you only have one life is a terrible idea.

    I think Direct connection should be the only chat channel really. Global chat does break my immersion.     Exposure

    Hey I'm not sure if this has been suggested before.... I'd really like to see more elements to the survival aspect of the game, mainly exposure. Getting wet, staying out too long in the cold, especially when hurt and /or hungry would have negative consequences. Tents, fires and indoor locations. (possibly clothing as well) would reverse your exposure levels. Being well fed (and well clothed?) and dry would reduce the rate at which you get cold. Fires while great for warming you up would obviously draw attention. We already know the risks of built up areas. Edit...Actually doing some more reading is this already planned to go in ?

    Hunger/Thirst overhaul

    Well I think the problem is not the food / drink . Its the day night cycle. Id like to see it speeded up a bit. For one thing I can usually only play after work so local servers are always dark, Id like a bit more variety! Plus it would fit the scale of other times in the game better. Like the issue you have raised.

    Notebook

    I actually really like this idea, I don't think it should have automatic messages in it, because people should be able to lie if they want. The notebooks should be left on corpses you find for you to read when you examine them. Maybe not even something you can take with you. Just so when you find a body (or kill someone) you can read their journal. Reading these snippets of other peoples brief time alive, might provide you with a couple of clues, a good hint, or a feeling of remorse for killing them.

    I have to say I don't think a skill system would fit with the game as I understand it so far. Its what you do with what you find that makes it.
