  1. I find it odd that you can't find anything in the logs. Someone teleporting? Check setpos.log for multiple entries and drastic changes in their coords over short durations of time. The following is an example of someone teleporting from around Elektro to NWAF then back down near Pavlovo. All of this occurring within 40 minutes. 01.11.2012 18:58:06: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - 33:5 [9922,2472,68] 01.11.2012 19:09:22: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - 33:5 [5549,8605,321] 01.11.2012 19:11:32: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - 33:220 [4269,10329,338] 01.11.2012 19:23:50: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - 33:220 [4649,10496,338] 01.11.2012 19:32:02: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - 33:220 [4587,9758,339] 01.11.2012 19:33:45: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - 33:220 [2559,3183,129] 01.11.2012 19:37:04: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - 33:220 [2984,3253,141] Check setdamage.log for anyone with a value of 1.000000. Example: 01.11.2012 19:27:39: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - #0 1.000000 33:262 01.11.2012 19:27:39: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - #1 1.000000 33:262 01.11.2012 19:27:39: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - #0 1.000000 33:264 01.11.2012 19:27:39: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - #1 1.000000 33:264 01.11.2012 19:27:39: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - #0 1.000000 33:266 01.11.2012 19:27:39: NAME (IPADDRESS) GUID - #1 1.000000 33:266 If someone is spawning vehicles/items, they'll show up in remoteexec.log and mpeventhandler.log. For the most part any entries in either of these is grounds for a ban, minus aireffects for UH1H crashes. Then of course createvehicle.log, which is easy to parse for suspicious activity. Check all the logs, if someone stands out on one, cross reference the others for further proof. Both of the examples above are from the same player. Another way to catch people sometimes is parsing direct chat in serverconsole.log. You'd be surprised how many cheaters don't use mics and actually type out incriminating evidence. All of this is assuming you keep your filters up to date. The logs will catch any remotely executed script.
  2. Nothing to worry about. Just someone finding a STANAG ammo box at the northern barracks.

    Lingor Island Loading issue?

I had the same error when I first tried to play Lingor. In my case it was caused by having the wrong tags for launching the game(using DayZ Commander). Original tags(caused error): -mod=@dayz_lingor;@lingor Fixed tags(Working): -mod=@dayz_lingor_island;@lingor Essentially just make sure the tags match the name of the lingor folder(s) in your Arma2:OA folder. Hope this helps!
  4. Found a car and fixed it up, drove it somewhere to hide it before I logged for the night. Got out, instantly broke my leg, lost 9k blood and was unconscious for 5 minutes while bleeding. Came to and bandaged with 42 blood left.
  5. While they don't give you FTP access, you can still manually edit the files using the file manager. Just access the file manager and make your way to \cfgdayz\BattlEye\. There you can update your scripts.txt, remoteexec.txt, createvehicle.txt and bans.txt manually by copy/pasting the updated contents of the latest files from http://code.google.com/p/dayz-community-banlist/source/browse/filters
  6. Earlier today I had a guy on my server picking up randoms in a chopper and ferrying them around, being an all around nice guy. Since he was solo prior to picking up people, I decided to check the logs for anything suspicious. The ONLY trace of him being on the server was this from createvehicle.log: I parsed the scripts.log and remoteexec.log for any other entries from his name, IP and GUID and there wasn't a single entry in either. I find it suspicious that there isn't a single entry from him in scipts.log and I was curious if anyone had any thoughts on this.

How long for loot to respawn?

I've loot cycled in the past and you don't have to move the items very far, basically just out of spawn locations of the building you're in. I've seen everything respawn within 2 minutes after running ~100m away.
  8. I rent from HFB and encountered this issue earlier today. I typically issue all my commands through RCON, but sometimes it's easier to spam restart messages through the ingame global chat. Tried three times to log in as admin ingame and got kicked all three times.

    UK120 restarts w/o notice

Sadly this is something that most admins just have to do their best with. I rent a managed server and I put the restart times in the MOTD, but even then I feel most players are too busy playing the game to remember the times the server restarts. If I am online, I will manually announce the restarts starting 1 hour prior and every 15 minutes thereafter. Once it's 10 minutes, I'll send a message once a minute. I really wish there was a way to automate this.

    Never try to kill hackers

I encountered one last week, heard him coming up the stairs in a pub in cherno. As soon as he turned the corner I put 5 rounds in him with my enfield. Nothing happened, no bleeding, nothing. So I just said w/e and went about my business as if he wasn't there. He didn't respond to voice comms but he followed me around for about 20 minutes killing every zombie I aggro'd and killed a player who started shooting at me/us. Then he just ran off. He was my guardian angel for a shot time.
  11. Found majority of mine at crash sites. Other than that, player camps and dead bodies.
