The Ranger

The discussion is created for my suggestions regarding armor and equipment. If you know what exactly I am saying, it's things like vests, helmets to gasmasks, facemasks with different elements and perks for your character. If possible, DayZ wouldn't even be compatible with such things added to the game but in the future release of DayZ right? That would be pretty sweet. If you were to think of any piece of armor or equipment, what would it be?

Will the bride player be a female behind the computer? What if a bandit in a ghillie suit is awaiting for the right moment? Your security guards don't have x-ray vision! What if the marriage is ruined? What if a bandit in a truck smashes into the group of people? Oh god.

I became a bandit for one good reason: to not take shit from anyone that I don't trust. There is literally tons of people who shoot once you approach them or try to flee away from so once I grab a weapon from a nearby industrial site or in the middle of nowhere, I shoot everyone on sight I see except if they don't have a weapon or they are not worth my bullets. Anyways, I searched through a large truck and found a CZ 550 (or otherwise I call "hunting rifle" or "the big game") so I began to start my expedition on hunting individuals in the night with my night vision goggles. There was a base that was non-PVP but if you don't enter it in time, you are out of the safe zone and is ready to be killed. Poor bastard was on a bike approaching the said base so I shot him in the head. First ever kill. After a few seconds later, someone tried to loot the corpse so I shot him in the body and he fell unconsious. Another reload with the CZ 550 and I shot him once more. Luckily, the console said "----- HAS DIED." Finally receiving my bandit skin, I got a Script Restriction 45 and had to exit the game without saving. After fixing the bug, I began to head over to Elecktro on truck whereas I chased a helicopter afterwards. They landed and one man came out. He knew I couldn't see him. Only one round left in my M40A3 that I received earlier in a vehicle, I tried to shoot him but I missed... atleast I damaged the helicopter. Leaving in a hurry due to danger chasing them, they went to god-knows-where, probably the airfield I marked on my map. Chasing them down on a truck, I didn't know where they were so I headed back down the road torwards Elecktro. A few minutes later, I was running out of gas so I quickly picked up a dirt bike and started travelling through the grass and down the road before I noticed two people looting a vehicle. Trying to crash the man with the sniper rifle, he quickly picked me off and I fell off my dirt bike with a broken bone. In chat, he said that I "deserved it" due to killing many innocent players. I smiled and felt pretty much like I was victorious over my foes by killing 'em and stealing their precious loot. I was inspired by turning into a bandit because I was killed many times around the non-PVP area or otherwise "the base" or as many players call it, "roadblock" and dying by the hands of a sniper. Also, I lost a M60E4 with two magazines - that's 200 rounds worth for a MG but being idiot for a few seconds, I died by the hands of a guy with a assault rifle. That's when I started becoming a bandit. Remember, Chernarus has no rules due to the zombie infection. Survival of the fittest, boys! Don't trust anyone and keep your eyes peeled for opponents.

I apologize for wasting your time greatly because I have many things to do in reality and the virtual world. I don't have all the time to play DayZ just to host one single clan in order to bring all the members through. Hosting a server for 50 to 60 bucks for each month is also a waste of hard work for getting such a server, don't you agree? I will be disbanding the faction but I won't be removing you on my friends list. Together, we will work as friends but not teammates. We will still be survivors and will work together. Here are some reasons for what complications I have went through: 1. Servers Servers are often paid to 50 to 60 bucks a month or yearly. I don't bother to waste hard work on these because I can use my money in reality for things that will last more than servers. I plan on getting the Halo 4 limited edition sometime soon and using it on other items aswell. 2. Communication Communication with the members is a failure. You have pay for Teamspeak 3, go and download programs that I don't need and so forth. Half of my friends added me on their friendslist and I really can't afford to getting all these announcements up and running when I don't have a server to call "home" or to get a server that allows you to get shit that you really need. 3. War Z War Z is upcoming, massively multiplayer zombie survival game that has no objectives. Just survivors and zombies. There are better features that bash in Day Z. A quote from PC Gamer. " Can these guys really execute the tremendous list of features they’ve laid-out? 250-player capacity, PvE/PvP, unrestrictive-but-accessible gameplay, multiple open worlds that will rival or exceed the size of DayZ ’s, free content updates, player-owned servers, and stuff like bounties and vaccination?" Reality and Virtuality I have been surpressed with reality due to social life, family, playing video games and so forth that I cannot get to being with DayZ all the time. My favourite game is Garrysmod which I tend to play alot along with other games. My friends tend to play with me in DayZ which leaves my members behind. I have things to take care in reality such as going with my family to many places. So you get it right? I apologize for losing your time but bare with me, you can play with me any time you want. Hello DayZ members. I am new to ArmA 2 but I have experienced it well enough to become a trusted player. Just so you know that I am in between novice and veteran. Yeah, I am looking to join a clan or get someone to team up with me because my friends are just too hard to find. Playing solo is quite boring and at most times I either get slaughtered by zombies/bandits due to low health (can't administer bloodpacks, FFFFFUUUUU--) or just to die out of starvation/dehydration (10 percent most of the time.) Due to the fact that Chernarus is quite a harsh area for one to survive in, I myself thought that teaming up with someone trustworthy or going into a group would seem fitting... and yes, I am a bandit who looks to find assistance. I kill anyone on sight and be friendly to those that I teamed up with. I haven't got a lot of kills though due to scavenging but I do have plenty of medication, a crossbow, a tent, and a map. Currently, I have 3000 HP and the location that I want to meet up with is at the hospital rooftop near the city. Wishing to meet at nighttime seems fitting because snipers don't find you. Todays video games are much more modern than back in the day. The graphics back then were horrible that it didn't cause alot of attention. In 2012, new video games with advanced graphics and gameplay seems to cause alot of audience, especially to minors and teenagsts.

I have made a clan now since finding friends is quite harsh. I find that using the clan system will be much more better and easier to locate teammates. -Bumped thread- Added a few things too and some more sections are going to be added to the thread such as ally and enemy groups, known bandits that need to be wanted (if killed, name will be removed), a ranking section and a division section. For example, a division will be added like medics, patrol groups, snipers, and so forth. Also a advanced member thread where a certain member reaches over a rank, he will be added to that list.

Bloodpack Bloodpacks can be used to replenish lost health by the usage of another individual. Now, this suggestion is what I am aiming for, "bloodpacks". I love bloodpacks but do we really need a partner in order to regenerate your health? I mean, we could use the bloodpack for ourselves instead of just getting a partner which is really hard to find especially if you don't try. Many times, it irritates me to see that you can't use the bloodpack on yourself and I always die due to this kind of thing. I have low health and bleed out, yet I can't use it. Is there any way we can implement this into the game? It would be pretty sweet if we could organize it somehow. For example, using a bloodpack on your character will replenish your health but in order to use another one, you have to wait a decent amount of hours in order to use another. Probably let the bloodpacks be rare to find in the world map maybe? Health bar The health bar. Yep, 12000 blood is what we like to call a health bar. Could we somehow raise the health bar to 20000 maybe? Since the current health bar (12000) allows you to become a easier target by getting slaughtered by bandits or getting eaten to death by zombies and bleeding out. We should boost this up abit because one time, I was running in the field and I got shot in the waist. I fell down to the ground and started to bleed out, leading to my death afterwards. Melee I sometimes use my hatchet to instantly kill zombies but I can't do it by just standing still. I mean, in reality, we would be running at a zombie and hitting him across the neck with a fire axe while running. Could we do that too probably? A new animation that allows the player to walk or run while wielding a axe, therefore hitting a zombie while doing this action. I get hit alot while using the hatchet because standing still (in order to swing the hatchet) makes you a easier target to get clawed up. Broken bones You fall off a cliff and your leg is fractured. Now you can't crouch or walk but only go prone. Now, going prone in the middle of nowhere and trying to reach a hospital is fucking annoying. Why not just get up for a decent amount of time (either in crouch or walk) before falling back down into the prone position? It would take a few seconds in order to get up in the crouch or walk animation again. Also, please provide more medication in order to heal broken fractures. Skills Each individual has their own skills. On the gender pick, you can pick a skill such as engineering to repair broken down vehicles or add new upgrades, be a medic and use medication more well than others, firearms expert who can deal more damage to opponents and has less shake while panicing, you get what I mean right? This is exactly what I want but I don't think that is going to fit well in the DayZ mod, don't you think? Backpack capacity Depending on backpack you find, once you wear it, you can carry more items in your inventory. Some backpacks are rare to find and some are easy to scavenge for. The larger the backpack, the more capacity in items you can carry. Criticism is appreciated - be it positive or negative -, it is welcome amongst this subject.
