Defcon Servers not running properly
Elebreon replied to shawncrew@gmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Looks like a couple people managed to get live servers from them, bully for you guys. They just lied to me and stole my money. Same with my clanmate. I'm surprised, I had assumed they were going balls-deep into the scam-server market since they had failed to deliver to so many customers. Consider yourself very lucky, my advice cancel as soon as possible (7 days notice required or they'll charge you in full) and switch to a reliable provider. Which would be anyone but them. -
Rcon 1.85 Beta and Defconservers question
Elebreon replied to db8385's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Dude you should have done a search. They are now a scam company. They sell DayZ servers that don't work and will stall and BS you and not refund you. Not sure why the feds haven't given them a call yet. -
Defcon servers. Got questions. :)

He's doing a freaking public service. Defcon is a joke, and everyone knows it. The walls they be crumbling in. Whatever it takes to keep other gamers from wasting their money on broke-ass Dayz servers. I'm joining this hijack. -
Just adding to the first guy, yeah I tried them too. And they're not just terrible, they're broken. Avoid Defcon like the plague.

PSA: Avoid Defcon servers - A little forewarning
Elebreon replied to Nuwave's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Once again, Defcon Servers is the most incompetent, half-assed, unprofessional company I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I am glad to know, after reading around, that they are not a credit card scam company, as I assumed due to my dealings with them, but in fact just a very very bad company. I should have wiped my ass with my money and set it on fire. Nothing about the experience at any point worked, the server was never live, and they had the audacity to say it was me running an out of date version. Yes, me and 20 something clanmates that play; quite happily, all day long on any number of servers are ALL too stupid to figure out the updater. Why is it then that all of us get the "The host is running an out of date version please contact your Dayz admin" message? Give me a break. Not researching these guys before I did business with them is one of the worst internet mistakes I've ever made. BUYER BEWARE. -
Defcon Servers are making Dayz Look Terrible
Elebreon replied to worsin's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I specifically opened this account to relate my experience with these bozos. Five days ago my server went "live" since then it has not been playable for one minute, I am pretty sure customer service is a scripted bot, and it's literally the most horrible company I have ever done business with. I cannot warn you guys away strong enough. Every time me or a friend has tried to log in it has been "the host is running an out of date version please contact dayz mods". They credited me $20 supposedly to my account, but will not refund my initial charge though they have rendered NOTHING on their end but lies and promises. They then had the audacity to say I was running an incorrect version of the game, yeah me and 25 clanmates who play on every server under the sun are ALL running old versions. These guys are charlatans and frauds. I am concerned they may even be a straight up "scam" company and would VERY leary (as I now am) of giving them any financial information. I cancelled my account on the only page that allows you to, and it needs a 7 days heads up before billing, btw, and now its showing that It is "live" not "terminated" as I requested, and I am blocked out of the area where you can cancel now "this action is not allowed". STAY AWAY. WORST COMPANY EVER.
