It wouldn't make sense since all the people are infected. They aren't undead, they're sick. If you get murdered no illness is going to bring you back to life.

That's why I think if you die you should be banned from a server for 24 hours. That gives the whole rest of the world time to loot your corpse and tents. If you have friend, then yes they can exploit that. (he loots and swaps with you) but it's still better than nothing. And your buddy can only hold oh so much so he would HAVE to leave plenty behind. -
It's been suggested a million times, but for a good reason I believe. Indeed. Spawn with no pack, but make low end ones spawn more often.

I kind of agree that something like this needs to be implemented until the hackers are dealt with. Not as a perminant feature, but as something to protect alpha testers. In the end I think the entire thing should be removed. (i.e. no 'was killed' at all) But not yet.

The checkpoints could be randomly spawned along the road. Like an alternate version of helicopter crashes. Good idea. :D It would provide additional (possible) reward for hanging near roads.

All the gunshots are rather quiet (They have to be, loud gunshots in a game get very annoying very quickly), but the actual sounds are pretty darn close. I've used m16's, ak74's and 47's, along with RPK's, Lee Enfield, an array of lever action shotguns, Colt .45, M9, and a lot of the other guns from this mod. (Basically everything but the high tech stuff, LMG's, and rockets/grenades) They all sound pretty much the same as they do in real life. They're all at least close enough.

Wat?If you kill zombies and not people you look like a zombie? It doesn't make much sense, but that does actually look really awesome.

And in real life there wouldn't be 95% of the survivors as run and gun murders. It would be more like 10%. I think it's a good thing. It adds consequence to being a bandit. People can see that you are and are much more likely to shoot you, while people who aren't bandits are far less likely to get shot at (Except by bandits, of course). It's trying to balance and protect which I think is a good thing, considering this game is basically a giant sandbox arena PvP deathmatch right now.

After 3 weeks of playing (Several hours every weekday and nonstop on weekends) I FINALLY found my first sniper. There are many kinds but their spawns are very very very very freaking low. I think they're fine. Snipers are meant to have advantage at great distance, just like how they have disadvantages in other areas.

Is it just me or did the latest patch (Or Arma2 beta?) break accuracy? I can lay perfectly still for 10 minutes, so my redical is absolutely still and grouped, and I'll still totally miss a zombie from 10 feet away. I also can no longer use ironsights, the bullet hits so far off that I often can't even figure out where it's hitting. Before the latest patch I had no problems with this. After catching my breath weapons were very accurate at close range and ironsights were a breeze to use. Now I can't hit a goddamn elephant 5 feet in front of me most of the time. It's incredibly annoying and has screwed me over several times. Did the patch do this or did something somewhere break? I guess my suggestion is, if this is a patch thing, to undo it and make guns work like they did before. But I assume it must be only me or else everyone would be here mentioning it...

Exactly. They are consistant with ironsights, they just aren't remotely close to where they should be. I've been rather busy, yet to try regular CO. I'll update when I do. I did do a verify, and lately I've been making a lot more headshots in ironsights, so maybe that did fix it.

It is literally a CORE idea of gameplay and shouldn't be removed. That would be like taking the levels and gear out of WoW. -

*Grabs popcorn and starts reading* Yeah, okay well. First off, you don't need to hit escape. Alt F4 accesses a core windows function shutting down the infocus program. I think the only solution is to disable AltF4. Plenty of games do it. So it's certainly possible, especially if Rocket is working for BI now and has full access to the engine code. TF2 does it and it's annoying as hell, because quitting takes a long time and freezes a lot. Block the AltF4 button so it does nothing like other games do. Problem solved. Now we just need to worry about escape+abort mid battle. -

While I agree that PvP is not currently in an ideal state, something like this would literally defeat the entire point of this game. It would be like getting a tactical nuke in [insert COD game here] by simply turning on your Xbox. -

Random idea I'm throwing into the mix; After dying you cannot play on that server for 24 hours. So instead of die, respawn, find tent, back in the fight. It's die, swap servers, start fresh. The player could still pack their loot into a tent on a different server for safety, but it would be a deterant to many. -
If this was a joke then it's spam and is wasting time and space that could be used to improve the alpha...

I think something like this would be awesome. It provides more customization, and different styles of play, while not being overpowered or unbalanced. I agree that gunplay should be the same for EVERYONE no matter what. It also limits things like helicopters. It would also promote teamplay. Why shoot a guy when your skills could benefit eachother. It would have to be done right, but I think it would be a step in the right direction.

Except that WoW is a fantasy setting MMORPG. And this a segmented survival simulator.I don't see any similarities. And from a game desing standpoint, just no. -
I think being able to drive an ambulance or cop car would be epic. The siren could have various effects. Maybe it drives off infected (They are annoyed by it?), at the cost of alerting every player within a few kilometers of you of your position. - Obviously you'd have to repair them and they'd be fairly rare.

While I agree that as a gameplay element (To all those who say it isn't how it works, because duh, but it's a gameplay device) it would be cool, however in this game I think the dead is dead element is even more important. People would become even more ruthless and careless if they could now come back to life.

I've never seen the need to use the bathroom done well in a game. Except the Sims. Never ever have I seen it in another game where I didn't go "What the hell?"

They have to. Unless they suddenly became cold blooded animals. Which they are still mammals and humans, so they'd still be warm blooded.And they aren't zombies, they're infected. Meaning it's literally just a bunch of people with a severe illness. They'd still have blood, but they would still get cold and hypothermia if out too long. I think seasonal weather among other things would be cool if done right.
