Admins dont have the privileges on DayZ servers, we can kick, ban and make global annoucements. also restart and shut down the server, but that is the limit of our power unless we use the programs, bypass or whatever it is that the hackers are using now a days.

Im not saying you have to back up your suggestion, im saying it helps if you have visuals to get people to listen instead of just writing "im tired of bla bla bla, i want bla bla bla", and yes i played the game before and i agree with your suggestion, but maybe propose it a little more professional manner. and i know it seems retarded to have to show how you want it to show up, but trust me giving visual aids to your suggestions no matter how simple they sound helps.

Hey all, I cant seem to update to 1.7.2.5, the six launcher says im up to date and DayZ commander says "filenames dont match expected pa" (its gets cut off but im guess it should say patch) Anyone running into the same issues? and got around them? thanks for the help in advance.

Guess you didnt read the mod was in alpha when you planned on playing it huh? next time do some reading before buying something and then bitch about it because it doesnt work the way you want it to in the development stage of it.

Dude calm down, first off for suggestions you need something to back it up with, calling the videos you mentioned a complete waste of space does not help your argument, however if you maybe decided to show an example of how you would like it to pop up maybe someone will take you seriously. and if this is a suggestion maybe you should actually suggest it instead of saying what you are tired of and be all pissy and moaning about it.

I updated to commander 0.9.0.62 and the download took like 10 min total, and been in game and tested it out everything seems to be working just fine.

Just noticed this post, canceled my download and got the new version, download is atleast 10x faster :) thanks for keeping it updated :)

Doing this atleast starts the download, but its very very slow, only at 2% been downloading for 10 min now and before you say it, no my its not on my side its slow, my internet is really fast. Guessing its just because so many are trying to download it?

I got my own server i will update once im sure i have the newest version, so i can login and test stuff out on my own server.

What do i have to look for in the logs when there has been a hacker on my server? And yes i know im not allowed to do anything so i shouldnt care, but to report them i need proof and to get proof i need the information from the logs.

Most of the time the vehicles will only be at the spawn point marked on the map if the server is still kinda new, if its been up for a while someone might have hoarded all the vehicles.

You cannot loot it off a dead body if they have it on, unless it is just in their inventory. You are just going to have to find another one.

How about you dont give away other peoples camps? i know i would be annoyed as shit if someone posted on the forums if they found my teams tents.

What option turns on the connecting/connected and disconnect messages while playing on a server?

The black markers are notes, not as much a way point. and for youre friend to see it after you placed it im pretty sure they have to log out and then back in.

Might just have been a bad restart, vehicles might come back after the next one.

What my group and i do is, place a tent on the ground save it and wait for the server to restart, once the server is back up, then put your gear in it and always remember to hit save when you add gear.

I had a hacker spawn tons of boats, bikes and cars, while all the normal vehicles like our ural and chopper wasnt in their normal place. we saved some of the bikes, but once the server restarted all the hacked in stuff was gone and our old regular vehicles where back where we left them before the hacker was there :)

So my server was hacked (not sure if anyone died), but i been on the server all day all the vehicles i had stashed away with my group were gone, we figured it was a bad server restart. Then we came to altar hill (cords 081062) and saw a boat in the powerline, went to investigate and there was 20 bikes a car and 5 boats on the ground and a huge ass ammo crate, and 2 dead bodies. What i want to find out is what to look for in the logs to see if anyone spawned anything or teleported a bunch of stuff to them. since i dont know what time it happened. any help appreciated.

I might not be able to do anything to the hacker, but im pretty sure i can look through the logs and see who spawned the stuff.

I am currently renting a server from HFB and was wondering if there was a way to look at the logs? Everytime i open one up it just says //new in the doc. Any help appreciated.

If you spawn in the ocean or in the debug plains you can just abort out and reconnect and it should spawn you on the beach.

When you put a tent down, wait for a server restart, then you can start storing gear in it and they will not dissappear. Also make sure to save your tent when you drop something in it as a rule or the item will dissappear
