Removal of Sniper Rifles and Silenced guns.
necroslord replied to necroslord's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
A reminder that you are no one to decide what happens or what doesn't. Say Yes or No and the reason of your answer or go to another forum. "Not going to happen" is not a suggestion for a Suggestion Forum. It is just a "I'm an intolerant dumbass that like to shut other people's opnions." It seems that you didn't get a proper education at home. -
1.- No need for pushing content of any kind. People that play project zomboid go for it with no real purpose other than merely surviving and roleplaying. You may find it boring but there are people that find it very good. THe only thing needed is a better zombie system that would benefit both "communities". 2.- This is a pretty valid point. Can't argue with that. I don't know how much stress this "hive" causes. 3.-Same as point number one I guess. 4.- Even if it was made with PVP in mind it would be as easy as enabling a friendly fire flag and a disclaimer that you play it as is and that no official support is intended for PVE. This would solve the issue and everyone goes happy to do their thing. Guess this is an example of healthy discussion, lol.

Removal of Sniper Rifles and Silenced guns.

I would really like all answer in favor or against would have interesting arguments instead of ths kind of shit. Sorry for being blunt but it is not useful nor funny. Patience gets tested a lot around here. -
Since PVE and PVP servers would be a separate thing, people shouldn't complain about their existence, simply everyone would play on the type they like to play. However I think I can see the problem here. Since the "bandit" wouldn't notice the lack of PVP in a server where he doesn't play he shouldn't be concerned. Unless............... Unless he is a butthurt that can't really make it in a true FPS so he wants to pick kills on people who can't return fire. In this case they get affected, because if non-aggresive players move to non-PVP servers, they would have less meatbags to shoot at. There is no reason to be against servers having options upon creation and everyone having the enviroment as they wish. Thus creating a variety of options for all kinds of players. People against options are just admitting to want other people be forced under the rules they like.

Everyone's a bandit - suggestions for a more "survival" type of gameplay
necroslord replied to lobsterman's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Don't get me wrong. I'm on your side. I have made quite a lot of posts already trying to defend the zombie survival cause. I'm just telling you my experiences. What I have read and what I have been yelled at. People really go nuts when you try to bring down the overextended PVP scenario that currently exists. I am primarily against snipers. They suck a lot of potential from the game. At least from my point of view. -
Servers with Sniper Rifles Removed

There is nothing wrong with you using the sniper rifle. But just as you say "let us use them in PVP" you should let other people "Do PVP without them". Different servers, no one gets hurt. -
Everyone's a bandit - suggestions for a more "survival" type of gameplay
necroslord replied to lobsterman's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Just like me, you got it wrong. As for all I have read, zombies are not the main focus, PVP is. Snipers getting free shots on guys that can't retaliate is fashion. People even react very aggresively when other people has asked for the option to create PVP free servers. Even the availablity of the option begins a flame war. -
Reading about things getting removed... this should be removed!... no really read it

Yes, exactly what you read. -
Servers with Sniper Rifles Removed

Guess I totally got the wrong impression when I knew this game. I thought it was the classic zombie survival concept but in an awesome engine. But truth is, it is just the same war game wth zombies getting in the way. Even I see suggestins for rocket launchers! This is just an ugly hybrid game. Let's see what War-Z turns out to be. -

People dont understand that PVP can exst without snipers and that it IS more dynamic. I think I can see the problem here. There is no reason to be against servers having options upon creation and everyone having the enviroment as they wish. This creates a variety of options for all kinds of players. People against options are just admitting that they just want other people to be forced under the rules they like. I haven't seen such grade of intolerance on any forums before. -

Suggestion Forums, are to express opinions on how something can be improved from anyone's point of view. You don't make a point just raging, and calling everyone idiots. If you don't want to hear / read other people's opinions get out of the suggestions forum. And get some anger management treatment, you seem to be a very disturbed person. -
Z stands for Zniper.
-
You are mistaken. This mod is starting a new game genre called "Sniper survival". The mod was initially called "Day S", but it looked very crappy. It was changed to "Day Z" just for the sake of style. EDIT: I hate my missing i's and o's when typing.

I will have to state the sarcasm more clearly. What I meant is "grow a pair and get into a real gunfight"
-
If you wont see them nor will you play on those servers why do you hate them so much? You just don't want them to have fun their way? Do they have to play your way for some reason? What is wrong with people these days that forget about what freedom is.

here's a suggestion for everyone who cries about player killing
necroslord replied to Blakorr's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Not sure if retarded or pretending to be retarded. Either way, get help. -
I actually like current gauges in the lower right. They are not too accurate (which is good for realism), but give enough info with just a glmpse wthout having to read anything. Color coded is good, because in real life you can know how hungry you are, or how thirsty you are without waiting for someone to tell you. I find it very good as it is.

As long as it is optional and characters can't be transfered from one type to the other, there is no reason to be against it. If people you aren't going to listen want to sing Kumbaya, you get no right to stop them. I however wouldn't play on such a server. I like PVP. I just don't lke snipers. I do hope sniper removal is another server option.

I don't like being blunt but yes, this has to be the worst bussiness model ever. This would discourage a huge amount of players, specially in a game where people die so much. It is more expensive than a subscription fee to an MMO. I'm not that sure that an explanation is required.

Idea to sort out some trust issues
necroslord replied to Kowalski (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
My thoughts on this topic: On the ssue of the game turning into team deathmatch: Team Deathmatch is much better than Free for all Deathmatch. You can't get that issue any worse than it is today. I wouldn't mind making teams. Friendly fire: Friendly fire isn't disabled in games with the purpose of making them easier or less realistic, that is a side effect. Most of the times (Sven Coop comes to mind) it is done to prevent moronic behaviour. Freedom let's you see how bad human factor is (you can see that here as well). So some games get restrictions to that freedom in order to keep a game's health. In conclusion, suggestions here are valid. I hate when people are rude just because they disagree with something. However I don't know if I actually support the idea. Bandits and the risk of attempting contact has it's appeal. But I do agree sometimes it is just ridiculous. Again I bring the topic of consequences. Real life has consequences that balances behaviour. Games don't. For example, in real life you think before killing someone. You know what it means, you know you may regret it and there is no going back. However in games you loose nothing for killng someone in cold blood. In fact you do it a lot across many games. I guess some artificial balancing is needed due to the artificial nature of the envroment. You can't realistically balance something that doesn't have realistic consequences. Very complex topic. Human psychlogy is nt my strong point. I guess I would be really scared to study such a creepy thing as the human mind. -
Guess we don't need to get over-complex systems that don't achieve too much. Just my opinon.
-
That would depend on the mod's "Lore". I read somewhere they are not undead, but infected living people, more like Left 4 Dead. I have to confirm that of course.

Servers with Sniper Rifles Removed
necroslord replied to Rising (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I totally agree on removing Sniper Rifles. You bascally said what I have said in other PVP related topics. Ambushes, betrayal, firefights are all more appealing to me than just dropping death without even seeing your attacker or getting a bit fo fun from it. -
Just my opinon: If you strive for realism you shouldn't get accurate information from the HUD. Just an approximate idea of how good / bad you feel.
