You will get flamed anyway. People just don't want other people to have fun their way even if it doesn't affect them. Ths is not about giving reasonable arguments, this is about "No, just no." -
Your design is flawed for this genre. If classes were implemented it would be something like this: Recon Sniper: Higher running speed, reduced thirst progression and stealth bonus, reduced effective range with sniper rifles. Support sniper: Higher inventory capacity, increased chance to find snper ammunition. Assault Sniper: Higher rate of fire with snper rifles, faster reload and higher health, more susceptible to hunger and thirst. Marksman: Higher accuracy with snper rifles, higher effective range, and increased natural zoom vision, slower running speed, lower health.

The way I see it. There is no more a distinction between groups. THe current setting of the game is simply kill or be killed. You team up with people you know and you get rid of the competition. That's fine and all. It creates a stronger bond among those you trust. It is just a battle for survival. And it can get very exciting once you get used to it. Only thing I hate are snipers but........... we can only dream with perfection. Lol

For the frst scenario remember that a condition that must be fullfilled if PVE servers ever come to be is that you can't take a character from PVE to PVP and viceversa. About the second one, well, it is a problem for people that want to play in the PVE server. I proposed to place a dsclaimer that "by playing on a server without firendly fire you play as is and that no support is provided". You just get it to do whatever you want or can do with it. Believe, there will be a lot of players that would play them anyways. Like I said I wouldn't play on a pure PVE server but I feel it would be nice for people to have them if it s not too much trouble to implement.

You made a good point. I surely missused the word "tactical". It's not organized squads that I'm against. I'm against the game becoming a sniper war. You absolutely need a sniper to counterplay a sniper unless said sniper is really unskilled. With tactical meant for example, there is a town. You get no snipers so you have to plan how you are going to raid the place, more SWAT-like. It adds risk, it adds greater player interaction and the other guys don't get a free death for not having a sniper. Remember that a suggestion doesn't have to be taken the exact way, t's just to point at possibilities. For example a lot of games have bannable weapons on server creation. I don't know why that couldn't happen here. It could be done simply that people that don't play "standard day-z rules" can't move their characters to servers wth "standard day-z rules" By the way I already know the kind of answers I'll get "That's not the way day-z is" "Wrong game pal" "Not going to happen" etc. It's getting old. -

I thught about them and I justified them. I wrote extensively and it makes sense. If you think it's rght or wrong is a different story. Of course you can fight the snipers. I never said it wasn't possible. But it is tedious as hell. They become the focus f the game. New genre FTW "Snper survival". You are more worried about snipers than you are aout anything else. It reminds me of my days playing the old classic Ghost Recon. Everyone went snipers and we just crawled hidden and seeing who was the last man standing. It was fun, but that was the purpose of the game. I didn't know it was the purpose of THIS game. -

Please read more than just the title efore posting. This gets tiring on the long run. Remember this are suggestions. I didn't say "Do it or wont play" or anything like that. The silenced gun issue, is not PVP. I stated that I think that it is too overpowered in the way that noise attracts zombies, and I feel that a good feature. If you remove the sound zombies automatically become hugely less threatening. It pushes the zmbies that are already just an aesthetic factor of the game even further in the background. No need to be rude about it. And about snipers, they take out player interaction instead of adding it. Just in general terms. Not going to quote my whle post. These are just my thoughts. -
Sorry, but you are totally mistaken. How you behave anywhere is a reflection of your personality. A videogame does not determine your maturity as a person, but it does give an indication of it. It also gives an indication of your values. I don't mean "You kill people in a game, you surely kill people in real life" that is too literal, and even kill a lot of people in games all the time. I mean your attitude. You "like to make people mad and feel them angry" That doesn't seak very good about yourself. Games and real life are not the same thing, true. But you can't say it is meaningless either.

I wonder if you really find logic in yur thoughts. First cooperation IS player interaction. It's even more interaction than "Haha I sniped you a mile away and you didn't even see me.". Second you are no one to say what is boring and what is not. Everyone has different opinions. Third a flag in the console of the kind "mp_friendlyfire 0 / 1" shouldn't be that hard to add. And eveyone would be happy that way. What the hell s wrong with people like you sir?

At least my ideas are well thought and are justified if you read. In the other hand, you just put your hands on your ears and yell "lalalalalalalalala I don't hear you and I don't care lalalalalala" like a little kid. (metaphorically, obviously) -
I know and I support it. But check around and you will see the open war that is going around about this very topic. Some people get very aggresive and closed minded as soon as they read a title and start their very valuable contributions "No, just no." "Wrong game." "You are an idiot." "You are butthurt because you got killed." and so on. I don't tell you not to gve your opnion. Just know what you can expect. I still contribute even with all those flamers because I expect to get improvements on the matter eventually.

In other words not every person is prone to insanity for killing others. There's people that can in fact kill without remorse. I don't like murderers but this mechanic doesn't seem to apply very well. -

What for? A lot of murderers don't scavenge for resources. THey get a headshot on you and leave you there. Your beans will just rot in your pack anyways. I'm being a bit exagerated. I like the idea of poisons. If we have GPS, Hellcopters and the like, poisons are very viable. -
Sad thing is deathmatch is a horrible monster that appears even in places it's not supposed to lurk. If you ever played Thievery (an Unreal Tournament stealth mod based on the Thief games) you would have experienced that a lot of the games ended in deathmatch. "Damn! We got a DM Thief!!!!" For some reason people can't play deathmatch just on deathmatch games, they have to bring it everywhere with them. And yes, you will be flamed heavily for attacking the deathmatch factor. These are fierce grounds you are treading.

Yes I think exhaustion is something basic in a survival game. Even the old stranded has a tiredness system.

An all-round solution to alt-F4 & server hopping

Anti ALT+F4 can be solved easily. If you get harmed in any way or have zombies pursuing you, you can't logout, if you force it your character stays there for a certain mount of time to get killed. Anti hopping is another story, best solution I can thnk of would be that the game registers your last played server and starts a timer (I don't know how long, maybe 15min). If you try to join a different server, it shows the error "You left a server and must wait <TIME> before joining a different one". -
People seem to like too much commodities. "i want to play a survival game with my GPS, Nightvision, Thermal scopes aboard a hellicopter" What if we get a common map and have to find our position and route by ourselves for a start? What if we keep it a survival game? I know that kind of stuff exists but that doesn't mean it is readily available everywhere. Making it unavailable in-game doesn't break the realism, it just mean it isn't available in the zone for any reason. Maye there s not that heavy of a military pressence.

It seems common agreement that if PVE servers come to be, you can't transfer characters from PVE to PVP and viceversa Just like in other games. That should fix that issue.

I stated in another post that my laptop's keyboard is not working well, I miss some i's, o's and rarely other letters, I also use the screen keyborad for the enter which totally doesn't work. That s why I edit my posts for typos a lot. But sometimes I'm too lazy to edit. Happy? I wont try to explain you the other situation, I can see how your personality is and it would serve no purpose. Just knock it off and say somethng interesting instead. -
I totally support this. I really love the medic role too. I stated in a similar post that I approve crazy medical stuff. However I don't really expect it to be implemented but if it gets done I'm gonna be really, really happy for it.

But that only applies to us, normal people. Not for the badass gunslingers, bringers of mercy and deliverance from hell, whose only friend is their rifle and the whispers of the wind softly caressing his shoulders whle chilling the bones of the weaker ones. The weaker ones whose lives are about to fade with the loud and cold touch of lead, carrying just the peace...... of death.
