No. The admins just got killed and then kicked everyone and restarted the server..some might say that is suspicious. Then again, given benefit of the doubt there could have be a hacker at exactly the same time but it is quite unlikely. This bit is my favourite: That includes server admins. They do it one of two ways: Play the fucking game properly, or go private hive and do what the hell they want with the server, they can lock it all they want and play the game how they want. You do not agree to terms of hosting a listed public server and then decide you want to make it private whenever you want to and completely ignore the guidelines that were layed out from before you took the server out. What goes for players goes for admin too. They get no extra privilidges, and if they want them make the server private, they should just do it and leave people who want to play properly alone. After all most players won't join if it's a private server. To sit there and just attack threads who suspect admin is pathetic - the admins need moderating as much as players do.

Wow, what are you 12 years old? You need a serious attitude adjustment if you really got all of that from my first post. Read the original post - that is what I was replying too. Server admins that kick players and restart as soon as they get killed to avoid losing their gear are all cry baby losers who deserve no more respect than hackers. At no point did I say that all admins do this, or that servers locking to get gear is a bad thing. Not accepting that you have died and abusing your admin power is as bad as hacking - if they want to lock their server and go loot hunting good on them, but they shouldn't bitch out when they get killed by someone and lose that gear and force restarts in hopes of saving their gear. It's pathetic and it's not how the game is supposed to be played. Neither is hacking, just in case you somehow think I am defending hackers by saying this. But keep saying what you want, clearly I'm just on the side of the hackers here and not saying that it should be fair for everyone, INCLUDING admins. It's their choice to pay for the server and maintain it, that doesn't mean they should be able to do what they want. Now fuck off and try to wake up on the side of the bed that doesn't make you a total asshole to people for no reason. Even if you don't cheat, your attitude totally stinks of prepubescent hormones and you shouldn't be in charge of a server when you act like that.

After a day or two you just ignore zombies. They aren't in anyway a problem they have to stop to hit you ffs :/

Urr, excuse me? How is calling admins that cheat the system for personal gain a short-sighted cock knob of a statement? Who gives a flying fuck if they are paying out for the server and maintaining it? I've ran a Minecraft server for 2 years now that has at least 20 active players at any one time and I've dealt with dozens of griefers/hackers - you ban them and that is it. Minecrafts worse because they can destroy years of work, I'm the one who has to revert the world back, I'm the one who has to go through player inventories to give people what they had back before griefers came in and destroyed the whole world. Oh it must be so hard for you DayZ admins. If I go on and play with people I don't have any more advantage to the game other than being able to kick people/ban them. That is what server admins are supposed to do. What's short sighted is that you believe just because an admin pays out for a server and maintains it that they have the right to cheat. I'll make sure never to play on the servers you admin on and I'm sure anyone else that reads that ridiculous post of yours will avoid them too. If you want to go and have a cheating server that you can abuse your admin powers on go ahead - but make it private hive and stay the fuck away from players who want to play the game, not be killed by some douchebag admin who thinks just because he pays for the server he can have any of the gear he wants/restart when he and his friends get killed. I can't believe how pathetic you actually are. Don't forget to cry me a river when your servers get blacklisted because you are an abusing dick.

I don't see why people attack the people reporting rogue admins. The admins that do this are just as bad as hackers - they fail so much at the game that they have to cheat to play it.

Funny you should mention that, I have G keys on my keyboard that I use for both auto running and zig zags while under gun fire :P

My Two Cents Although I'm more than happy to throw money at rocket for the standalone DayZ, I can see where people are coming from. A lot of people did buy ARMA 2 strictly for DayZ - now at the time (and even now) it was an alpha mod and as such I felt it generally led people to believe the mod would either progress and get updated, or stay the way it was. No one, not even Rocket could have predicted he would be able to turn his mod into a proper game. Here is where my problem lies. From what I can see development has basically halted so they can work on proper DayZ and lets face it with the sheer ignorance of any information regarding an update/fixes to the game breaking bugs in 1.7.2.5 it is apparent that support for this 'mod' is going to basically stop while they are developing the full (or beta version if you will) of the actual game. Yeah, it is really cool for Rocket that he is getting to develop his own game now, not to mention get a bugger load of money but he would not be where he is if it weren't for the thousands of people buying up ARMA 2 just to play this mod. Asking for the game for free is way too much. I'm confident it will be well worth every penny. Asking Rocket to actually keep the 'Alpha' version of his game playable, even if it is only fixing the graphical glitching and sorting out vehicle saving/inventories/tent inventories is not a lot to ask for. Especially considering this mod wouldn't be worth a penny to the company who have bought this out if it weren't for us thousands that have been playing so far - and as people have pointed out here, it's mainly these game breaking bugs that have caused it.

If you are the S.O.B that just logged on LU352 and go by the ingame name of "manhunter" you are a cheating dick, I hope you go through life avoiding things like you avoid conflict by logging. Sorry for the long reply, you will also need to tick the box near it that says "Replace original ARMA2OA files with beta so Steam works". Once those 2 are ticked whenever you join a server it will launch from ARMA 2 OA in Steam, tracking your playtime and allowing you to use the Steam overlay. I disabled the Steam auto ARMA2 updates to avoid it overwriting the latest beta with whatever one is currently being pushed over Steam, I'm not sure if this is necessary or not though.

Thirded, me too and it's way better than FRAPS.

DayZ commander also can launch from Steam, which is awesome. I like having my playtime tracked.
