    I think because server time is slowed as server fps goes down the shitter, it doesn't catch as much playtime as it should, therefore you won't have played "as much" according to the server. Same reason why it is sometimes night on EU servers when it has already become day in the area which the time is based off.
  2. Third person on though, you can use it to look around corners and generally see places you wouldn't normally, making it detrimental to PvP. Spacebar "scanning" is something that changing difficulty to expert on the server should remove, as I have on my servers but it doesn't seem to have, however implementing something like tags that show up when you aim at people shouldn't be hard. Crosshairs are a bit immersion breaking to me.

    Restarted the server instantly after finding out in hope that the results weren't saved, BattlEye IS currently running so I don't get why it happened, will look into it. You can email [email protected] and inform them of what happened if you were killed there, I'll ask rocket about it in the meanwhile :)

    Unfortunately at the moment the backend for the server only runs on windows, only tested on WS 2008 R2 as far as i know.

    I will probably bring up a third EU server shortly, rocket just needs to supply me with a new mission file and it will be done.

    Yeah a restart usually fixes it, time passes slower on the server as the fps drops, the scheduler attempts to correct this but usually it doesn't work so well below 15 fps.

    Q: Can I host a DayZ Server? A: Send as a email to [email protected] if your server has these broad requirements and wish to be run 24/7: Windows OS (only tested on Windows Server 2008) 4GB RAM Dual Core CPU (Quad recommended) 10Mbps down, 5Mbps up (considered a minimum for ~25 players, can spike well above) Able to run the custom HIVE console EXE application RDP for DayZ staff so updates can be self applied. Alpha is a very rough time, 10 updates van be released in an hour MySQL (currently not used, but in Beta/Release each server will run its own DB) Approximate requirements, you'll need a pretty good processor to support a good amount of players. Also expect to eat through alot of bandwidth, for the two EU servers I host I've gone through roughly 120 GB today, >900 GB this week. At the moment time is fetched from the server time.
