    Hiding bodies a Dick move?

Same here derpy! PS: Where did you get your cool sig? :P
  2. I'm trying to imagine Arma 2's control scheme on an xbox controller and having a laugh at it.
  3. With increased numbers and damage of zombies, along with a realistic fatigue system. It would make DayZ really realllyy scary. Creeping death is horrible. Ecspecialy when your out of breath and just can't run anymore so you barricade that farm door only to watch them slowly but surely knock it down. You check your ammo to see if you have enough ammo to take the horde the approaches, you don't. Suddenly you hear shots being fired from outside and someone roaring to get outa there! Awww my perfect DayZ, like a book or something hmmm oh well.
  4. Funny story.... about 3 weeks ago I remember coming across a newbie and helping him to a town (zeleno i think?) we went to the market and it had a rather large parking lot beside it anyway... well once inside for some reason I pulled EVERY zombie in the town to me. I was shooting using the MK48 mod I had just found at a heli site and had a Bizon SD with three mags in my backpack. I mowed down most of them infront of me but got hit and was bleeding out. Suddenly I hear ptpptptpt of the bizon, I face palmed and thought for sure I was dead. But I turned around and he put the bizon back in my backpack, I smiled, for every time I had been shot in the back this made up for it a thousand time over, he said sorry he had to or we'd both be dead. I took the bizon out of my backpack and dropped it infront of him along with the mags and an extra pair of NVGs I had been saving for a friend. The market was full of loot and I left him to it as I logged off and went on with with my day, the thought of not being shot in the back flavoring my day. So don't give up, there are still people out there with morals. Just like in real life, they are a lot more rare is all.
  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Did we really need MORE meta gaming? :\
  6. If your account has been banned for hacking you spawn in as a turd on the beach. It's like being in prone, you can roll and that it though. On the bright side zombies don't attack you but the sun eventually drys you out and you die. Then it automatically respawns you until you have to task manager close the game. Cool feature eh?
  7. I don't say this often but... Go suck a bag of dicks...
  8. I would love to see long time players of the DayZ mod get some kind of slightly unique skin or badge. That way people can see it and be like "This guys a veteran of the wastes" That would be cool without giving us an advantage or discount over anyone else. Ya know just enough to say "Thanks guys, for supporting me in the beginning". :)
  9. I think you should remove everything next patch. Not forever I mean, just ya now...wipe the hives so I can encounter a person or two NOT in a ghillie suit with and AS50 and L85, that might be cool for a couple dayz. Oh and delete tents while your at it too until they are fixed. Thanks Matt! :D
  10. You start mass murdering everyone. You kill everyone on sight because you're bored with life and have collected enough gear to survive without a struggle. You actively camp outside your residential mall and shoot people with the AS50 you found in your bathroom this morning.
  11. Sad fact. You are no threat, they know this by your reaction to them. But the most geared players will always shoot you even follow you to the end of cherno, because they are sad pandas and have nothing left to do in there mind. They see a guy be friendly and first thing that comes to mind is "catch em and kil em, catch em and kill em". If you happen to kill them when the yare trying to kill you, well this is how haxors are born kids ;) hahaha.

Rhinocrunch puts it into words for me.

I remember him at one point saying a long the lines of "I'm a bandit, I kill people if you don't like this leave now" on one of his videos. I watched a bit and it was the same thing everyone else was doing pretty much pointless murdering a lot. So I didn't bother watching the rest. I wonder what could have so quickly shifted him in the opposite direction.

    Bad Advice.

Hey, I'm Gambles. In my 2 months or so of this game I have been given three pieces of bad advice so frequently I actually began to follow them. They made the game boring (for me) and once I decided to stop playing the way I was told to play, and started playing the way the game in my opinion is suppose to be played it got better. 1st bad piece of advice "Don't get attached to your gear noob!". Horrible advice, if there is one single bit of advice I can give you it is get attached to your gear. Love it, cherish it, never let it go, and get angry and sad when you lose it. Come to the forums and rant over a bug or bandit if you have to. Do not just brush it off as "oh well start again". When you get into the mentality of "I'm gunna die so I might as well get use to it" you start meta gaming, duping, and before you know it the game is a 220 km deathmatch map where everything you earn means nothing cause you just expect to die anyway. You're no longer playing to survive and thrive with your gear, you begin playing to get the stats up until your next death and you lose a lot of that rush you use to get when you actually cared about your gear. Yes if you play like this you will get angry, sad, and frustrated. But you will also have a lot more motivation to play the game the way that it is most entertaining, like your life depends on it. Not as some gear grind where you horde gear because you know you're going to die anyway and just brush it off because you have "back up lootz". 2nd piece of bad advice "Play with a big group/clan!" Every experience I have had with clans or large groups have been awful. I have yet to come across a clan that doesn't dupe or exploit the game in some manner. "Oh yeah you can have that gps just don't save the tent after taking it" yeah... "Why do we have 8 vehicles up here we never use?" "So other people can't get them" alrighty then. So the clan has every weapon in the game and some even not and most of the vehicles on the server. What do we do now? go kill players? the survival part of the game has been almost completely dismissed and it becomes a die and go back to camp fill up and kill or die more. The best dayz I have had in dayz have been with small groups of friends playing to survive. Yeah if we die we have to scavenge again, we don't have a huge camp with duped stuff or 10 vehicles at our disposal but the game feels like it's difficult and it feels like these guys are my friends here to help eachother survive in this wasteland. Not guys who happen to be on the same TS counting the pixels making sure they are king of the mountain in some deathmatch extravaganza. 3rd piece of bad advice "Shoot first, ask questions later nub" Unless you're a bandit this is horrible advice and you're missing out on soooo so many interesting experiences. Experiences of friendship, betraya, and adventure. Sure you are probably going to have to be very careful about how you approach people. You might even lose that precious gear you worked very hard for. But every so often you will meet someone in game who has the potential to be a friend. That to me is worth even more than the gear that you should care about. Ultimately you are playing a game (hopefully) for enjoyment and not to make the game less enjoyable for others or crunch the numbers and make sure you get it all like some kind of bad competition. The only thing you should be fighting for is survival not hording the most vehicles and loot in the game with a huge group of guys who dominate a server and make it all trivial. Anyhow, that's my advice to new players. I hope it helps you as it has me. Edit: ( If any like minded survivors are looking for a guy they can count on when needed, check my profile for my Skype Name :). )

    Bad Advice.

Sometimes it does indeed. But you should always care about your gear and never brush it off as "oh well". The game loses so much suspense like that, when you just don't care about losing it all.

What will make DayZ a better Mod?

Void_false is either a pretty big troll, or the stupidest guy on the internets. Game developers for consoles have been saying themselves for years that PC tech is superior and some are even angry about how there isn't a new console out as the current ones aren't powerful enough to innovate with. Some are even looking to the future consoles and saying "that's just not good enough". Everyone with half a brain who knows even the slightest about computers or consoles knows that consoles are mid-high end computers on release that VERY quickly get outdated and outpaced by modern computers. Sometimes they are even released inferior and have a hard time running games that shouldn't BECAUSE of poor optimization and wasting of good tech (look at you PS3). But this guy is so hard headed and young (I assume he's young because he talks that way) he doesn't realise this which is really sad but funny to.
  16. Hey guys, I'm Gambles. I was wondering if I could get a list of some of the servers that use the community ban list. Been running into a lot of hackers lately and heard about the ban list but nothing on which servers use it. Would like to make one or even a few my home servers to see if the hacker population is a little better on them. Thanks in advance!

Being a hero versus being a bandit

Sad fact of the matter is, many gamers are young/childish/selfish/immature. Now I'm a huge gamer but I know other gamers that are all those things I listed. They give the rest of us older more mature guys a bad name and people sometimes look at me funny when I tell them what I do with my spare time. As far as games go, DayZ is one of the very few games out there where you can really get a sense of a players maturity level.

    Bad Advice.

Well that is technically what it should mean I guess. But people use it on the forums to put others down or dismiss there stories. "Don't get attached to gear" is usually the first reply you see to someone who just wants to vent about how they were hunted down or died to an annoying bug.

    Bad Advice.

The reason I say get attached to your gear and don't listen to people when they say not to is because it seems like players catch a lot of flak on here for being frustrated for losing gear. Which I think is a sign that people care about the game still. I don't wanna be around when the day comes that people stop complaining on forums about losing gear and telling there story. That just means that they either no longer care or have switched to duping or scripting. And better experiences worth even more than gear can come from comunication in game which doesn't happen if you shoot on site :)
  20. I love either having an L85 or CCO SD. Both are great for scouting your way around zeds for different reasons. The L85 is also a great weapon for spotting players and trying to interact with them before they see you, great for testing if people are friendly or not so you can beat it outa there.

    To dio/duo whichever it is.

    Paranoia sets in O.O
  22. Actually I JUST had to take out a bandit the day before yesterday, haven't been on since but I picked up his AS50 TWS, left the ammo. When I get back on the game sometime tonight im probably gunna throw it in a tree or something... so many of them...

Are helicopters in the game again?

    lol! hahaha...
  24. The game is so much better when you play it in a way that doesn't revolve around killing everyone. Beans to you for making a great game even better sir.
