    By audibility do you mean the zombie's ability to detect you by sound or the actual amount of sound that you/other players are making? That's one thing that bugs me atm: The mismatch between the two. For example, rolling while prone makes absolutely no sound to other players and yourself, but is audible to zombies. Walking, crouch walking, and crawling on the other hand, makes very little noise to zombies, but is very audible to other players. I know that it's a lot easier to tweak code settings (like the zombie audibility) than it is to create or edit audio samples, so I'm hoping it's just something that is being put off till beta (or release) when the balance issues have been sorted out and not something that has been completely overlooked.

    Kicking of Players for Clan members

    Only admin abuse that I personally experienced was having admins kick everyone out and lock the server down when a buddy of mine ran across their little stockpile (about a dozen tents filled w/ shit and a couple of vehicles). He killed one of them when he was spotted and started investigating the tents, soon after we all get the boot. We rejoined the server once they unlocked it and they had moved all the loot. Pussies.

    Color-blind friendly GUI icons

    Yeah, that's why I didn't suggest just changing the colors used. Changing the green to blue would have fixed things for me, but would have caused havoc for people with violet deficiency. I personally just have issues with certain shades of green and red, and my case is pretty mild compared to some people so I don't think I'd make a good guinea pig. Always helps if the colors being used vary in brightness and saturation instead of just hue, but the easiest quick fix would probably just be a numerical value next to the icon. Rocket, don't feel bad, man. I appreciate you keeping us in mind. :] It's definitely not a priority considering everything else you have on your plate. I've just been drinking/eating whenever the icons start flashing or if I run across excess food/drink that I can't carry.
  6. Due to my red-green deficiency, I find that it really tough to spot gauge the color transition in the current icons. There are several ways they could be improved, and I am not sure what ARMA2's capabilities are in this regard, but a graphical change that isn't solely chromatic would make the icons a lot more meaningful to those of us that are color blind. :] One option would be for the icons to act as "fill meters" in addition to changing color - see attachment for an example i mocked up. If that's too tough to implement, a numerical representation (ala blood counter) would work fine as well. Keep up the great work :]
  7. My personal opinion on 1.5.7 and the zombie "issues": P.S. did not read entire thread, so sorry if some of these points are ofn. Quantity of zombies is great... a lot harder, but definitely better. In 1.5.6 other players were my only source of concern. Zombie respawn time and "safety radius" need to be increased. 2-3 minutes was perfect. Zeds spawning right next to me or in a building I just cleared is not so cool :[ Zombies hitting/moving through walls :[ Zombie speed should be decreased. The current zombie run speed and path finding looks too much like a Benny Hill sketch. I can understand the concern that making them too slow would make kitting them too easy. I'd make them slower but hardier. If the only way to get 1 hit kills were head shots and everything else was a lot less effective, aim and ammo conservation would become a more important play dynamic, particularly with the increased zombie quantity. Anyway, just my humble opinion. Great work on DayZ so far, it deserves the success and popularity its receiving. Edit: i can spelling
