Could someone write up a quick compilation of all the major/interesting changes that have happened since may? It seems to have evolved quite a bit, and i want to check it out to see whats up.

Let me rephrase... Vehicles, saving - yes no? Zombies in buildings fixed, - yes no? Widespread deathmatch rectified, - yes no? Tents? Weapon nerfs? Vehicle spawn rate increased? Constantly respawning zombies, status? (i.e. Is there any point in clearing out towns). The last changelog doesn't cover a timespan of 5 months...

So, here i take a break from playing DayZ for about 1 week, i come back, and what? Most of the servers are filled with idiots who think it's Call of Duty apparently. Literally, just a few hours ago, i hopped around 6 servers, and in each and every one of them there was a god damn deathmatch going on, noone gave a shit about surviving or cooperating or anything, everyone just shot everyone, with zombies attempting to break up the battles in vain (they all get slaughtered all over the place). This was nowhere near to the classic pvp in dayz, it was an all out, no rules no shits, deathmatch. What the hell happened? It seems like people are getting tired of sneaking around all day and losing everything because of a stupid mistake or ambush, and simply live fast and die early.

Ignore steam, acquire a nice launcher. (SixUpdater is way overkill for normal use, and it's incredibly sluggish) And yes, Arma II does work without steam running, which is why it's best to not let steam control the updates and simply manhandle it on your own. -

Easier said than done, due to some retarded debug forest bug, i got teleported to the coast (with all my gear and weapons intact), all the way from Krasnostav woods, and landed in the crossfire (i found at least 5 corpses of people who just spawned, all near each other, wtf) -

Russians have no etiquette, basically talking in russian while EVERYONE ELSE (no matter if swedish, german, french, polish, spanish) speaks english is insulting by nature. And even if the other nation guys say something in their languages, it's nowhere near as bad as the russians, which literally spam walls of cyrilic text, its just ridiculous, annoying, and makes you feel stupid (like someone talking behind your back or insulting you without even knowing, which actually happened once when some russian dude called every non-russian on the server "european cocksuckers" but had bad luck since some czech guy knew russian and translated it for us). All in all, speak english or go to your own servers, and if you get a bullet in the head for talking in morse code, then don't even ask why. -

Just screw this shit and make it common sense. Walk into a forest, look at the ground, scroll mousewheel - get option to "collect twigs". There, fire is done. For christs sake even Les Stroud (survivorman) made a god damn fire in the middle of a friggin jungle where everything is wet and damp, and it lasted for hours upon hours. This whole collecting wood bullshit is a stretch. I don't want to see this mod get deserted by 95% of the playerbase because of such inconsistencies (and wether someone likes it or not, that's how gamer communities work). Be careful, VERY careful, the popularity of DayZ may end just as quickly as it began, and we obviously don't want that. In all seriousness, there NEEDS to be something like a test cluster, servers which get updated constantly with new features and options and allow players to provide constant feedback, it's a god damn MUST.
