wearing ghillie suit is actualy also atracting them instantly to you as they see your name + sniper when you wears it on the map. i actually quit playing dayz as i can't see how i would play this game without a ghillie.

the only way to find out "smart" maphackers is to maphack. logs doesent logs this exploit so if you want to find out who is doing it , you will have to go blackhat and monitor players with same kind of tool. (by smart i mean cheaters that only uses maphack and no other cheat)

Sniping has it pros and cons like always , if you are camping Yes it will give you hudge advantage killing faar targets , but now lets say you have to run away form your camping spot , you will be very weak without any rifle holding a snipe if you encounter somone in 200/300m range. it's dosent need a nerf , its balanced . you are powerfull at distance but totally sucks in mid close encounters. are you a troll ?

Hey guys , i think starting this thread was important. i fucking love dayz , this game is just intense , i can't remember a game where you had such adrenaline rushes because you can loose it all in just one mistake. i only seen that in 2 others games : diablo 2 hardcore mode , and ultima online. those games are rare. and i just love the feeling they give. i started to play dayz for more than a month now , explored almost every aspects of the game , had a clan, build camps , tried to find all ingame different gear and cars .saw every guns in the game , no hacks everything legit. (i admit i was no life to see all this in a month) i had a lot of fun. after that i wanted to explore more the game and directly enjoy the pvp aspect of the game so i started to go to some airfields and try to find some people to kill. all the time i would die after 5 minutes , because of a guy in my back with an AK . happened all the time at night , and i understood the only way to locate me was hacking as i took uncommon sniping spots to avoid sniper hopers. i knew the game was full of hackers but untill i started pvp i had no matter at all. everytime i would logon wearing a ghillie suit at a sniping spot on any server would let me live only 5 to 10minutes what ever i do , even if stealthy , even if ucommon sniping spot , even if pitch dark night.even if empty server. a guy would login then go in my back and kill me. that happened 10 times in 10 days of trying. i started to read on the forums and saw so many fanboys post telling that hacking is common but that the game is still playable. so i decided to do my own little study. i would study players behavior and servers health !! not like rocket would do with a stupid database that only logs actions. at that time i wanted to monitor ingame encounters and how they happens , what dynamics results of this and how hacking is impacting the "whole" game at a point even rocket can't imagine because he is not monitoring this at all. i also wanted to monitor the real rate of hacking because we have no numbers and if pretty much difficult to tell how many servers is legit or how many games about 10 that you play will not meet hackers. i wanted to answers those question so i started to monitor it. so here is basically what i did i ... hacked... yeah guys i hacked but in a whitehat way , im not gonna explain here what is a whitehat , but lets says i used hacking in a good way to understand how hacking was afecting the game.I did all this whitout killing players or taking any advantage of the game. i just monitored how players where acting. i didnt loot camps , didnt ruined camps , didnt took vehicles or stuff , nor killed players. after few days of coding my software was ready to work and i could locate every players , every tents , every camps , every vehicles , every survivors , every bandits , every snipers on the map. the purpose of this study was not pure cheating so i just added those basics features without aimbots or stupid grieffing tools. i just wanted to see what really happens instead of speculating like fanboys do. so here is what i saw today as my first whitehack hacking days : i just log on the server and see that there is almost no vehicles on the map , and i understand hackers probably destroyed them all previously.(i would say 6 servers on 10 are affected from what i seen today after trying 100 different servers ) i see 3 guys on my locator and one is in the middle of the nw airfield looting stuff in the barracks. i can see another one that is located south of the airfield at a very common sniping spot that is aiming players who are trying to travel to airfield from roads and usually coming from south or aiming at the player going out of the airfield going back to south. seems legit. but .... that guy direction is pointing to the barrack airfield direction and i start to understand the guy probably use a locator too and is waiting for the other guy. sadly the other guy logs out (server hopper) snipers changes instantly direction to my direction then i saw him for like an hour trying to ambush me from 2kilometers aways , again and again. all the time i would take a road he would be waiting at the end of that road. could have kill him but it was not the purpose as im whitehat hacking for this study. for a first login it was interesting. what are the odds of being victim of a semi hacker using only locator smartly ? how could you know that you where victim of hacking in that case ? absolutely no way to tell except if you where also hacking to understand and see it. ok so this was an exemple for my first log in of the day.i tried 100 different servers and i can confirm you guys that healthy servers not victims of hack are super duper rare. so many servers are : empty of vehicles / hacked and all vechicles stashed in middle of a city or south coast (those server get super laggy and i also understood that low fps servers are the servers victim of this) the other problem i noticed and very severe problem is that one server about 2 . wich is very very small odds (same as a coinflip) every time you join a server you have 50% chance of beeing victim of a smart hacker only using wallhack or a locator. i noticed that everytime i would log on a 10 player server instantly one of the player in the zone arround me would try to get me from miles and miles away. i also noticed that every 4 servers about 10 i would log in wearing a ghillie suit near a sniping hot spot i would get killed in the next 15 minutes by a teleport hacker. I know those numbers are still too small to make statistics and its impossible to really check the level of hacking but from what i seen today i would say not wearing a ghillie suit would less attract frustrated hackers. remember that when they see where you are using a hack when you wears a ghillie suit they will see your name followed by "sniper" (like the map normally would on a recruit server) im sorry for all this text but i think this was important for some people to realize at what point hacking is really destroying the game actually .there is actually so many hackers that every time you play a game you have same chance as a coinflip to die because of hacking. here is a recap on about a hundered games on different servers , different location and countries. about 100 games played : -1games about 2 i got instantly followed by guy in my area.(smart maphack) - 6 servers about 10 have no vehicles at all , all vehicles detroyed or none spawned , (empty map cleaned by hackers) only few ones where i can see usual old stashing but they almost not exist at all actually. -100% of the servers affected by the hacking stashing near south coast result in massive fps drop for the whole server. -if i decided to repair a vechicle on a server it will be destroyed the next day to a hacker 1 times about 2 , if i choose a server where i can see the whole map vechiles are healthy it works. i would say it work 2 servers about 10. -if you spawns near an airfield wearing a ghillie suit on any server your life time expectation is 5 to 10minutes to a hacker teleporting in you back. the whole game pretty much corrupted and all the servers seemed fucked up from what i seen whith whole vehicles health status and spawning. my 2 cents but i had to tell this im tired of reading bullshit that this game is still playable. have a nice day. hope you read this rocket.

scripting is not the problem here , to be honest i don't give a fuck if a guy spawns a chopper or weapons like crazy. because i still have a chance in a pvp situation against a guy like this. (untill he is on godmode) the problem is actually aimbot and wallhacks / teleports / no recoil / broking legs (all those are not working with scripts) and this is exactly the ones i monitored. 8 death on 10 today where actually invisible hacker + break legs or blood loss unlimited. i never die to crazy vehicles spawner or thunderdome or whatever , i never seen those. i just die to guy who teleport next to me after i log on. i admit my conclusion are too fast and uncocrrect for people who love Exact numbers. the 50/50 coinflip survival is actually relevant .even without monitoring i can still clearly see that i will die everytime after i get fully geared in my camp 5min i go arround a pvp place (still undercover) for my tent post that was a special question as i wanted to set that tent in wilderness for sometimes to repair a car. not for a main camp. if you read carefuly that post you would understand that i wanted to basicaly knew if i could save some tent in wilderness (yeah i wanted to exploit) you are looking at a specific question concerning one tent in wilderness it was not about regular camps. i am french and sometimes is difficult to understand me well as you seen in all my posts. have a nice day beanking : pm me one of your golden server and i'll fraps all the things you pretend as a lie. and youll see the problems dosent come from bad play at all or suicidal tendencies.

i got instantly killed with no gunshot sound. not camping ;) when i say elektro i spawn 1kilometer away in forest at night then i thermal vision scout,i dont spawn in middle. so... i wont argue anymore with someone close minded and convinced that i am some sort of attention whore that made all of this to require attention. i just wanted to help the community to point on real problems. my tents save perfectly , where did you read that bullshit ? see you later on the standalopne fanboy :) i have no problems at all with tents or gear. and this is why im actually only doing pvp because except repairing a chopper there is nothing more to discover for me by the way if you want my camps location and see how newbie i was i'll give it to you all as im quitting dayz for some time ;) free nvgs and all highend stuff , all legit scavenged with my clan on vehicles. if you sruvive more than 15mins on any server you logs with the gear i offer you. i might reconsider your point of view. wanna oganize the challenge ? ill give you the stuff and you have to survive for more than 15min on random servers . if you can survive more than 3 attemtps , i will buy you the standalone and few others games. : challenge accepted ? or pissing your pants because you know you are wrong but you just try to make me rage in a subtle troll way ? the cheat was detected by battleeye since few days , but i wasnt banned because i used my own source and injected the reading memory process of my tool in a low level driver kernel (like a rootkit). only the script kiddies got banned on that one. im still alive but not stupid i wont use it anymore. i was just reading memory process. people who got banned on that used the original source code and got instant banned. it was coded and tweaked in visual studio 2010 c++ then injected in a low level driver rootkit to avoid battleeye scans. ( i wasnt sure if battleeye was looking for the function i was using or looking at a process signature but after the instant ban i saw on kiddies i can pretty much tell they got busted by signature scanning.) script kiddies got banned but not me i admit im not the best coder on earth , but i can write some , i am more specialized in stealth and hidding methods and this explains why im still here while all the people who leaked that code are gone. can i have my ten meats now ? new battle eye function is for scripting and we are here speaking about teleporting / aimbot : locators it won't change anything actually. as a veteran player and the numbers of game i played i can tell you i know the difference between a bug server that has nothing spawned and need a restart and a unealthy server that got hacked with all vehicles destroyed. dont make me be what i am not when you dont even know my experience of the game. is quite easy to judge people and believe stupid myth and from what i seen you never get there yourself to check if it was the case or not risking your account to get banned , so next time before accusing me of nonsense , just try it ;) i actually see 2 different kind of players -casual that don't play the game enough to go over 10hours+ survival those players wont die , they are rarely target of hackers (except when they are bored) at that casual gamerate you will survive full weeks (and that happened to me asweel when i was a newb) -veterans , as rocket said once you seen every aspects of the game and you are fully geared you then move on another type of gameplay : player killing, human hunt. those veterans have usualy 10hours + survival and are fuly geared / NVG / coyote / range finder / any sniper + thermal gun (ready for swtich in backpack) those veterans are target of frustrated hackers "Oh noes another pk let me be the justice and kill him" this is is scenario that is happening to me everytime i am fully geared and 10hour+ of survival this scenario never happens with shitty gear. tonight i just died instantly after loging in electro for a player hunt. i noticed the hacker only killed me on the server which i presume the guys must be thinking they are player killer hunters or police or whatever (i can't tell whats going on in a 16yo fag head) my 2 cents , but ghillie + full stuff = instant death for me on any servers (except the one that have 3players) but this is pretty contradictory as rocketsaid the only goals left when you see the entire game is pvp so i just guess i have to stop right now as i can't explore that aspect of the game. only way for me to pvp actually is get a lee enfield and kill newbs for hours. if i take my 10hours + survivor fully geared the pvp session will stop even before it started. Wake up fanboys.... wake up.....

when i read this i can say you are a regular dayz player and it makes me glad to read this as so many casual gamers can't understand this fact because they just don't play / engage / enough. i won't be able to prove my numbers as the tool i developped is now banned by battleye ;) i wanted to see if lingor was affected too , i tried to play that mod and the same happened got killed everytimes after 1hour or 2 of playing , whatever server low or high population. i had nothing to monitor that time but its not required anymore as i know excatly knows when its due to hacking or not, some invisble guys would randomly teleport to me , sd shoot me , breaks my legs , make me blood in loops without any shots.. and so on. i don't think im the unluckiest guy in the earth and i know that happens to other regular players aswell only solution i found is actually playing on a private hive passworded server and this is exactly what im gonna do waiting for the standalone.

@thread op How about insurance when you loose items after death so you keep them ? how about a total carebear special addon for the whole game ? seriously man .... just no ... *facepalm*. this game is based on infiltration. kill cam would ruin the game. the metagame is muchmore important over the long term especially in a game that is a lot based on infiltration and stealth(survival) if you had kill cam teams would instantly spot you in 1v4 situations and you'll be dead before you could snipe the 3 you usually did without kill cam. so this is basically a new sort of choice you are offering to us : -do i prefer to kill 3 guys and hope kill the 4th one without beeing spoted. or - -do i want to die and see where my murderer was ? what the point into this .except if you died @ electro you wont be able to comeback to the place faster enough. after this little analysis i think you are more frustrated not to be able to give position to your teamspeakfriends than dying alone without knowing where was your murderer. i might be wrong but no beans for you , this kind of sharing information at poker is named collusion and is a form of cheating i see a kill cam exactly the same as collusion , it would allow you to share unknown information to players that are still in the game (which is a sort of cheating)

i'll try to get fraps and show you how unealthy are most of the servers that i'll choose randomly. i can film this. i will also try to fraps a funny one showing what you can expect at almost any airfield in the game wearing a ghillie x) (5 to 10min life expectation) won't be dificult to record it , numbers said here are a low level of sample so it definitly not big enough to make any conclusion but from my experience with stats i can tell the factor "dying to teleporting hacking" occurs actually way too much and doesent need any sample higher than 100 to be revelant due to the crazy actual number of hackers. ;) the only one i wont fraps is vehicle stashing as it took me a full week to try and gets to much time to fraps again. for people who doesent believe this one just save 5 vehicles on different low pop servers and you will see that , 1 or 2 wil not save , the other will save but get destroyed or steal to hacker next or same day usually only one vehicle will stay (and this one is usually always on healthy maps i saw with hacking tool, by healthy i mean vehicles spawning that seems legits + normal stashing all over map those servers are extremly rare from what i seen hackers didn't ruined those. another important fact to the whole study is the ghillie suit , i know it might sound stupid but many people will stay out trouble since they wear none which explain their "hole loads of pvp without any problems" as soon as the hackers see that damn "sniper tag" on their screen it attracts them like sharks. i am wearing ghillie 99% of the times. when i don't wear it hacker doesent target me. as soon as i wear one + approching any pvp place i will die in the next 10 minutes. veteran players of the game might understand what i actually means as i suppose they have loads of ghillies they might have noticed that noticeable difference .

Hello , i really love this game , my previous week been a nightmare. i joined a clan , our base got raided like 5times in five days. everytime i would set a camp in someplace , the hackers would log and locate + destroy my camp no matter what happens (pim clan , cheaters.) then i started to thought maybe my clan was exciting the hackers , so i decided to quit and play on my own. went on a server, changed nickname , fixed pick up + ural , then hide it. 4hours after saving it , when i relogged it was destroyed and all my camp destroyed. it looks likes it happens to me all days now , no matter what. is it actually possible to have a vehicle more than one day , or all servers have at least 1 hacker a day that will ruin all vehicles ? if you guys know few europeans or americans servers hackers free please PM me as all my vehicles are getting hijacked by hackers no matter what kind of server i play. in a week i lost 2 chopper / 3 bikes . 3 ural . . 2 pick up . 5 days of clan nightmare , after i decided to quit , to play on my own i got killed by a guy teleporting in my back 3 times after those 3 death i decided hey i might try to build vehicles again maybe hackers will stop ? so i change server , repair pickup + ural and the same happened. do i have some sort of grieffers locating me what ever server i play ? i this possible ? please help me and send me calm servers in private messages i am actually very tempted to start to cheat as i litteraly played a full week full time for Nothing.... even if i am hardcore gamer i have a life and i can't take 6hours of my life everyday to repair a ural that will get located few hours after even in the best hidden spots.

are you sure they are not saving ? in my case they save all the time but what ever server i choose a hacker will log in during the day locate the ural and destroys it + the camp. i know the difference between an unsaved camp and a destroyed camp. i can clearly tell you the last 5 days , all my vehicles got destroyed by hackers . the save bug occured once and that time there where no wrecks or tents arround.

sorry for the ban agent orange i actually removed it , tell me if its still effective. ok guys so we got many issues with script kiddies and yes we are legit !! i actually tried to save our camp few times but lost it all to hackers. im actually trying to rebuild a stash somewhere in anonymous server . im not sure if the trading thing is gonna keep going on , as all the active members seems actually gone. maybe ask frank on teamspeak but i havent seen him on for ages.

i been actually playing on very low population servers . 5 to 10 players at peak times , 1 in normal times (me) the problem doesent come from server choice , i tried 10 differents servers , high pop , low pop , server friends with no players at all . the result is always the same. i have no problem stashing tents none of my camps without vehicles gets busted so my conclusion is my camp get busted because of the vechicle and because of the wallhack tents/vehicles/players locator (esp). all my camp got unbusted for like 3 weeks now , but every time i bring back a vehicles there no matter what the camp will be destroyed the next 5 hours . its not vehicles disapearing (i got that bug once) because i see the behicles destroyed wrecks and flat tents. i understand a ural is big and might get my camp busted , but that happened as well only with bikes and motorbikes hidden and impossible to see without tree hack or esp wallhack.
