Would it be a local channel or like global/side? Either way, I think it's a bad idea. If it was a local channel and worked like direct chat then you could spot someone go by and then ask in medical chat "Friendly in school?". If they respond you know they're not a bandit and if they don't respond you can assume that they are. Pretty exploitable and exclusive to players with a certain style of play (E.g. Heroes). If it was a global channel then you could be on 2000 blood with a broken leg in the middle of a forest with no medical supplies and you just ask some hero 5km away to come save you. That takes away from the whole survival aspect of the game and it gives an unfair advantage to you if you don't play like a bandit. There should be risk of giving your position out. You have to choose whether or not you want to risk a bandit reaching you before a hero does. That's a more authentic "SOS" situation than private messaging other heroes to come get you. Obviously this whole idea would make more sense if they replaced the global chat system with a radio system you had to find parts for in game.
