I always thought it was from Windows 2008 server itself? You just change the windows clock and then disable NTP or Windows Time service etc. Then when server starts it use the time stamp of the OS. I could be wrong of course. :) I don't think the region is read from anywhere and i dont think the hive determines what time it is on a server. admins?

OP comments are idiotic. There is no big company as such. I don't think Bohemia have decided what to do - kinda stuck in the headlights like the rabbits we see in the fields. A bit like a lottery winner. I don't think anyone can 'expect' anything at all. Its a free mod. If they update then fine if they don't well then wait or play something else till there is something new to do. I hope the next update involves a big wipe of everything and maybe some pre-testing to ensure its playable rather than a a day of frustration trying to get in. Even if it was I wouldn't come here complaining.

I think the engine is supprting as many zed as it can handle without performance problems. So no more zed for the moment. I think they should be more of a threat. More of a random threat and less predictable.

I saw much lag last night also. And low FPS. Before yesterday I saw good performance on a range of servers. Could just be that is is insanely busy again for the hive(s)

I think when people DC they are admitting tactical defeat and are kinda dying anyway. At least a little inside. Of course, if they server hop, move and relog in behind you and shoot you in the back that is douchebaggery.

I think it has everything to do with your QQ post. Let's not bring RL into it as it is not RL in game. However as someone who has played ARMA for a decade now (im guessing you bought it for DayZ like the other 90% of players) I think it could do with a weapon safety toggle. After all it does have a fire mode button and reload button etc and it is a military sim. Plenty of people have accidentally fired in game because its a lot easier to press your primary mouse button than pull a real rifle trigger. Mouse - about 3-6 ounces and an AR15 - 7-8 pounds.

read the installation faq's again. You need your version of operation arrowhead combind ops to say something like 1.61.9504 and not what you see. Maybe use six updater to create a desktop shortcut for you. Stop using steam.

apologies maybe. What does it say on your main menu game screen in the bottom right hand corner? Post the version number here please. How are you running Arma? Through six updater some shortcut or some other way?? The massive amount of updates do require a lot of patching and downloading but i don't mind given it is about 2 mins of faffing about with updating versus every hour of game play maybe. It is a small price to pay. My French is appalling so I can relate to the language barrier. :)

Well done. This is why this mod is so cool. PvP in ARMA was always good but never with this sense of panic and the immense adrenaline rushes. I play with over a dozen guys regularly and some of them are very chilled out and this is the first game i have heard them get edgy on teamspeak since CSS matches.

ignore it. If you delete the current beta folder under expansions first you dont get the msg. Click through it and it installs . it wont affect your play even if you see the msg. so np.

Just think if there are perhaps 600,000 unique individuals who have played this game... and a guestimate in the US says there are 1 murders per 11,000 population - which we lazily extrapolate to include all global nationalities playing... then that's potentially 54.5 actual RL murderers who have played DayZ - not factoring in serial killers. ho hum
