My suggestion for a while now is simple: move balota camp around Elektro, and use the old spawns Since SA has almost every building to be enterable, avoiding city-camping/deathmatching should be the easiest thing to do, probably by moving spawns all around the map

I MEAN EASTER EGG As the title wrongly says, me and my friend found something that could be an easter egg. We were heading to Bor, and in the middle of the forest, we found a random half broken statue. It had nothing else around it, except from a radio behind it. We followed the direction of where the arm was "pointing", and it took us over Windy Mountain, towards Green Mountain. We found nothing else worth checking out in our way, only a couple of animal feeders in the forests, but it's nothing special since Chernarus had animals and farmers etc. Is that just a statue/prop with no meaning? Is that an easter egg that will be edited with more stuff in the future? Is it just a statue, placed there to purposely point to Green Mountain and all the death and horror that awaits there?

NOT Was trying to see if the guy is friendly, as I'd prefer to handcuff him than just shoot him, but my second thoughts ended up in a failed fight. Being solo is more intense since you got only one pair of eyes to look out. With a friend/group, is not tha much as you know you got someone to watch your back, but the derpiness and the stupidity that occurs,is hilarious

The key to survive in DayZ is to NOT hesitate. No matter how friendly you are, you WILL have to shoot someone, or die and lose all your shit. The only solution to avoid dying but probably get yourself into a fight, is to try to disarm the other guy. If you can't sneak past him and/or you want to interact with others, ask him to lower his gun, even drop it, with your gun aiming at him If he complies it's your choice to befriend him or just leave him there and leave safely. If he doesn't comply, light him up, or try to run away.

I'm posting here since aparrently this is the recruitment thread for standalone! We're JLBB, Jennifer Lopez Butt Bandits. Yes, a stupid name but I couldn't come up with something better, we'll probably change name soon! We're some friends that used to play on DayZRP under the RSM tag, but after we disbanded and left that community, some of us kept playing on other servers together. So I decided to give us a name(that we'll change soon), and get some more peeps to join us! We play on EU times, mostly from 14:00 to midnight, UTC+1 / GMT+2, but we will play more if we don't have classes/work the next day. We're "mature", but sometimes I can get out of control :) As the title says, we're bandits, but the OG kind of bandits, we try to have some interaction, rob people, torture them, talk to them and maybe even help some people. We'll never take the risk though, if someone takes too long to comply, he's dead. We do KoS, but mostly North, where everyone is armed to teeth, and there are no chances of being friendly. IF we can do it safely though, we'll still try it "Requirments" We're looking for mature people, mostly EU, but we don't mind US/AU players as long as they can play before we log off! We don't have an age restriction at the moment, I'll focus on the maturity of people that apply, not their age. You MUST have a working mic on push to talk and be able to use TS3, maybe mumble and ventrillo until we get our own server(s). You MUST own a legit copy of DayZ Standalone. If you play the mod as well, you must have a legit copy of ArmA. You must have some basic knowledge on how to navigate/survive in game, or admit you're new/need help, so we can show you some stuff. Acting like a pro, but having no idea what you doing, will not be fun. You must not be afraid to shoot if you need. As I said, player interaction before shooting, but if you see your team or your self in a risk, report on our comms and open fire. You must be able to talk and understand English. Weird accents etc are not an issue, we got them as well! Last but not least, you must have a sense of humour, and like to laugh. We're not just a bunch of guys that plays together, we like to have a chat, joke, and discuss stuff, we're web-buddies. We fuck around, joke and laugh, but we'll always put our serious pants on and survive IG We mostly play Standalone, but before that we played the shit out of DayZmod and other Arma mods. ATM we don't have a TS server, as I just made the group, but as soon as the banks open (fcking xmass) I'll be getting a TS server. We got no membership fee or whatever, but if you wish to contribute in the near future that we'll be getting a SA and comms server, we'll not stop you! never missed with a mosin so far, i find it the most accurate weapon, especialy with the sniper scope. When i shoot, I take everything in consideration, distance, bullet drop, movement and wind. Not sure if the wind actually affects the bullet, but if I shoot on ranges of 500+ I feel like it's affecting my shot so I counter it

As everyone said, youtubers spend a shittone of time recording just to use just a few minutes of their footage, that's not full of retards or KoS. Also, they're popular and some people go full fanboy mode and dont KoS em. My complain is that everyone forces you to soot him in SA. You ask people to drop their guns and they try to attack you, noone complied so we could have some fun :(

It'd be even better if time was added on each change Like from 1st server to 2nd you get no delay From 2nd to 3d you get 15 minutes From 3d to 4th you get 20 minutes, then 25,30, etc The only possible problem I see is people joining a server that restarts soon, but that can easily be solved by joining the same server with no time cost UNLESS you alt-f4'd as soon as it's up

You're not forcing anyone if they can choose between 2 things. Now, if they use 3d while they want 1st, it's their own issue, they got no reason to whine since it's THEIR choice It has advantages? Nope, since on a 3d person server EVERYONE can use 3d person, and again people that join a TPS and use 1st, shouldn't whine since they could join a 1st person only server We end up on the same thing again, seperate servers being the solution to the "problem"

Completely disagree The servers will be: -1st person only -1st and 3d person Seperate servers WILL be the solution, again, why force people to play the game the way YOU want? Your friend wants 1st person and you want 3d? Go on a server that allows both, and play however you want, i dont understand where the problem is in that Now, if you want to play on a server that EVERYONE uses 1st person, and your friend doesn't, it's your guys' issue, YOU should work out a solution, the devs already gave you all you need. Having disadvantages on using 1st or 3d will not help at all, it'll just ruin the game for many people

Why force someone to play the game as YOU like? I mean, making heroes OP and bandits suck, it'll just destroy the game. TBH, even with pistols bandits will find a way to murder people, but still, it's just stupid. DayZ is so great cause of the bandits. Yes, constant KoS is annoying, but if you want PvE only go play Dead Rising or rent your own server and enforce your rules.

I guess your "luck" that skipped you the nuke, is what fucks you up now! Quick advice that saved me, edit your character and set it as default. For some reason, after the wipe I kept reseting until I set a character. Not sure if it's a fix or something else happened, but try it

I can't believe I'm saying it, but that hacker did a great job. spawn campers are worst than hackers

yes for the appearence change and some panting/screaming, no for the blurs. It'll be realistic and all(maybe, I never murder anyone IRL to know :P ) but it'll be a disadvantage to us bandits, and to survivors that had to kill for their life and got minus sanity/humanity.
