this would slow down player movement and activity, it would be a burden, maybe if laying down a person can regenerate blood a little, starving comes slower, so if you are waiting for some the sleep state can be nice if you know no one will atack... it could be interesting, if it made more sense than having to shit.... imagine a bar of the need to shit, and the one to sleep, these things could be more of a choice that if done gives something to the player, like hunger can be ignored, walk faster, or just less hungry, whatever, but reducing the freedom of the player just for a better simulation is to me a bad game design.... this is my opinion, if crapping has something to boost the experience than its ok, i think shitting makes a little more sense than sleeping, inactivity sucks

Going to the "next" world after death

imagine when the game is launched, only one world for first life, then people would kill themselves to get to the more empty servers, but they would all fill up and the wait to login would be a disaster, maybe if only you got disconnected to the server when you died, it would be a bigger punishment than it is now and if you want to go back to the same server you would have to reconnect which is a trouble sometimes -
well, i dont know but i think this is far away from reality, exploading corpses if someone gets close, maybe a highly infected player dies and his corpse infects almos everything nearby in some time... i think no to explosions....

nice proposition, but they should be rare as unused iodine would be, very rare, normal ammunition is the only common especially for civilian armaments and remember that the focus is on civilian stuff so prolly they will have these ammos but stupidly rare

replace humanity with human interaction

sadly theres no good way to sya how much human interaction would be done, its more a meta thing done outside of the boundaries of the game that influence the player, its called intent and its impossible to understand or measure it, i believe, so maybe trying to join some other survivors on the forum, not a clan if you dont want hierarchy, can be the group thingie, i am sorry but you have to make due with your social skills now because they prolly wont work with features or tools that do not represent the theme of the game. which i believe is desperation and survival, socialization is not a part of it, some eastern mmos have that in focus though. -
man, i just hope to get some fire with wind effecting it, all the bambies in trees would die, finally some new way to kill people!!!!

On game design, "progression through equipment", and a system of micro-skills

well, i have almost nothing to say, you defend a perspective without a theme to build around, when desiging a game you should focus on a opv or a theme, a phrase sumarizing the game, to rocket it seems to be desperation, sickness and survival, so he will change it from the way it is now to something very different, it will change a lot and most of the fans will notice that it has become a different experience but with the same focus... trust the designers, they know what they are doing. -
it would be interesting to be put, most people would kill themselves and let the new spawn with full body take all the loot. But it would be awesome for the whole atmosphere of the game, imagine seeing a crippled man who suicide, tense, but it would be like new spawns in far away areas who killed themselves, it would be like some people who kill themselves when they have broken legs... its tense and in the new interview rocket says he might add canibalism, so prolly we could have dismemberment(prolly wrote it wrong, bad english sry)

zs will run indoors, if we make zombies pay attention to almost any kind of stimulus they will be much easier to avoid, and with the promised changes by rocket there will be more zombies so i dont believe they will be more resilient but they will still be dangerous, a design for better stealth inside a city would be better, like more blind spots for invading a city and so on, cover is still important and maybe would be nice to find more wreckages that you could crawl under. Also, would be nice that when they keep walking and bump into things some of these had responses, like a syren or a car alarm. With a scavenge mechanic people would be able to set the alarms on to distract zombies.

interesting, only bad thing would be implementation, it could slow down the AI if badly scripted, and lots of new variables would get the engine clunky for an mmo with uses so much of the server, but if we end up following up your idea most business buildings wold have lots of weak zombies, and outside in farms almost all would be stronger, military ones would be resistant to a degree even to bullets if they had the vest, interesting...... I hope to see a blind zombie.... wait, so will moral or tear gas have effect on them? That would be interesting, imagine leaking poisonous gas to kill zombies, that would be nice.

Euphoria character animation in standalone

Why no to euphoria? Would need a lot of work to implement, animations can be redone and enhanced but its a lot of work, as I see now they have more important things to do. -
hahaha, if something is used, it will be easy to tell apart, of course it would be much more common like used syringes than a untouched one. They are going for realism, so there could be lots and lots of cars, but also due to balancing and realism we would find almost no fuel left. Guns? almost all already scavenged and ammo more rare. So its not going to change a lot, but its like we have already been surviving to the outbreak for some time, and this is the ongoing game, they are going to make up some facts based in possible scenarios that will help balance the game and will make it still fun to play. The vision of dayz is that we are surviving several years later after the start of the zombie outbreak.

In the standalone fuel will be rare, and vehicles will be much less rare, you know all those destroyed vehicles? all of them will be normal and driveable, and you will be able to remove parts from, but the biggest problem will be fuel itself, almost none will have it.

Should Painkillers/Antibiotics Have Use Count ?

if it has the same system as ammo, and painkillers bottles have a random pill number when loot spawn... that would be good. -
No, i think just a button, not a slot, for empty hands, it could be represented by the hand symbol, or could be shown in the glove slots( like a letter in the bottom corner). Making it a real slot would make me angry why it cant be used, but if it would be the melee or primary/secondary gun slot, and if you put nothing in it or hands will have nothing.

you can activate VOIP and talk in game if you want, this is a survival, not an arcade game meant to be fun all the time with stupid and badly written punchlines

Standalone - add "check magazine" action to realistically determine how much ammunition remains

the action could be related to R button, if held the magazine will we held and will see the bullets, maybe right mouse button to reload single bullets, and yes this would leave you open and almost helpless, to put it back just release R. this combination would feel clumsy but would be made to encumber and slow down reaction, making the action more dangerous
