So there was a vest on the ground and because it said vest I finally wanted to find out if it meant additional space or just another backpack. So once I equipped the new bag, my alice bag disappeared along with all the items inside...can anyone confirm this or know if i go back into that server it will be there? I figured the alice bag would go on the floor, but it didnt.

So far no luck, even though another alice pack spawned inside the church. I got so excited :(

All the servers are connected with your items, spawn location, etc. If you die in one server, you died in all

dayZ only has 950k players so far. at least according to their own website. IGN posted about them reaching 950k though.

Has anybody died while wearing the suit? I died from a random zombie and when I went back I couldn't find my body, but I heard the flies buzzing around. I felt like I was literally on top of my body from the sound intensity of the buzzing. Somebody may have hid my body, but I just want to see if anybody experienced this?When I hid a body before, I could still "study" the body, but I couldn't look through the inventory. I couldn't even study my body. No icons appeared.

Lol I am sorry, but that is pretty funny. And I agree more people with you the better. I always get a RL friend to play with me and we get strategic. If we need items, he will sit on a hill while I go in and he watches my back. We got an ATV up and everything. We got into a huge fight in prigorodky and we ended up dieing to somebody we couldn't see, but we took out a few people. That city was just a warzone. Everybody was there for some reason.

If you don't have any items, who cares if you die. The best thing to do is go into a low populated server until u can at least get a weapon and then go into a more populated server. if I see ANYONE, I shoot them. As people have said you don't know if you will see them again and get killed. When you know you killed somebody or somebody just died in the text chat to the left, then you know that's 1 less person you have to worry about that will shoot you randomly for at least 5-15 minutes depending on where they spawn. I had a ghillie suit, an m4a1 coco, alice pack, whole bunch of drinks/soda, plenty of ammo, 1911, gps, etc etc and I died to a zombie because he somehow knocked me out. I came back and couldn't find my body(assumed somebody found it and then hid it like an asshole, SOMEHOW- even though I was in a random place). I could only hear the flies around my body. :(. Point being, when you have that much stuff, then it sucks to die. Never bothered me to die with no items.

Not true. I have logged out prone and came back still prone

it happened to me, but when I joined a new server my items were back. I also just glitched through a concrete wall while crawling and broke my leg and passed out. Now I have no morphine injectors so I have to wait for a friend I trust to come save me

So I was in Rogpor and I was on a server where it was way too dark. I changed servers and when I came back, It acted as I died and I had nothing. Then I rejoined and had all my items, but I was in Elektro. This happen to anybody else?

I played for over 3 hours after doing the video memory--> Default. No artifacts when ever I go near soldiers or a big city. I was also at the airstrip with ZERO problems, although it finally got dark, I logged out to change servers, came back and fell off the tower and broke my leg and died, haha. Still, if you guys haven't tried going to Options-> Video-> Advanced-> Video Memory: Default , try it.

how long did u play for after changing to default

This actually worked for me. I am in the airstrip now near chernagorsk and no artifacts... Edit: I am going to join another server to test it out, but so far so good.

ya and what isnt fair is sometimes they will be far away and hit you. Other times they will be behind a building and all of the sudden come sprinting at you. The zombies in this game definitely need to be cleaned up

As soon as I entered chernogorsk, I got artifacts. So bad I had to drop the server before somebody shot me or a zombie got me. - i5 3570k, Nvidia GTX 560.

I tried the double tap minus. Doesn't do anything. It's getting worse the more I play.

So I was making my way to the airfield on foot. If anyone has done this, you know how long it takes. I survived sooooo many zombies to get to a certain town. In said town I heard somebody start shooting, so naturally I ran until the zombies stopped chasing, ran up stairs into a little outhouse and logged out. To my surprise, when I tried to log into another server, it said "aj has died" .....WTF!?!!?!? I had so many items and such and it tells me I died? The guy shooting wasn't near me nor any zombies when I logged out. The worse part is, the server that said I died in wouldn't allow me to play because I had 1.7.2.4 and not 1.7.2.3 ..So I couldn't even run back to my body. This game is so screwed up. I love the ideas, but jesus christ..This really pissed me off. Edit: I lied. I am not sure what happened, but my guy did not die. I guess it was just a glitch. Scared the hell out of me

Running and logging? Lol first off, I had only a pistol, no food, only one drink(among other items, but point is I needed food badly). I also had only 6k health at the time. STRATEGY suggest running away, not towards an enemy that you have no idea what he is capable of. The guy WASN'T chasing me. Honestly he may have been shooting at the zombies because he shot quite a bit of times. Don't be mad cause some of you guys are dumb and always try to murder people. I could have kept running into the wilderness, but why? So I can die of starvation? GG
