The M24 is a sniper.. not a semi automatic rifle.(DMR)

I love the m24 but still most of the time i use the as50.. But i love m24, its accurate as fuck upto 800.

Mostly because they are too lazy to go back to their tent and take the items back. Or they are using a thermal as50 or something and they don't want you to get it.

Yes you can get thermal rangefinder in dayz also if u are using a l85. Though it doesn't really matter, its still better to use the L85 for spotting because you see a wider area.

Its because arma 2 is made to be easily scriptable. The engine that is. Arma 2 was not designed for DayZ , it was designed as sort of a combat simulator, where teams could practice tactics, which means it needs to be configurable in every way to simulate different combat scenarios, enemy placements and so on. This is done by using scripts, which now the "hackers" which is actually a false label are using to do whatever they want in DayZ. Rocket is in no way responsible for the arma 2 engine.. The solution is bind a quick disconnect button incase you get teleported. I have been teleported like a 100 times, haven't died ONCE. Instead of QQing maybe people should use their own brain for a second find ways to keep the damage done by hackers to a minimum. The more people QQ on this forum, the more hackers will know that what they are doing is working as they intended, therefor they will get even more enjoyment out of it and be encouraged to script kill people even more.

Well i play most shooters that come out, but as far as games i played on a proper competitive(league, nationals) level.. CS UT99(7 years, best game ever made) Americas Army Quake 2 Crysis WARS I dont list games that i just play in pubs..

Well i got a AS50 TWS from a sniper today, i had to work for it since he shot at me first so i think i deserve it. I have also died 2 times to AS50s during pitchblack nights on the same server, so it was probably the same dude :D The origin of the weapon is unknown though, might be hacked might not. The body didn't have any other suspicious items such as golden aks, those hacked grenades(whatever their called) or anything else suspicious. They should do a hive wipe imo, then we can be sure they are hacked. Probably not gonna happen though.

Bitter cunt admins, learn to read the server logs and see who the actual hacker is, instead of banning the victim prick.

chances are any DMR and Coyote you trade with someone is duped/found from tent anyway :P

Well i shoot everyone i see, though i have no particular interest in killing survivors. The best fun is fightning for the chopper after server restart with other clans. Had a like 7 v 7ish fight today .. we were on the island defending while some ppl were looking for parts and like 8 people from another clan tried to attack. It wasnt planned or anything like that, but it is a known fact that after every server restart eventually some action will take place there :) I believe we finally got the chopper off the ground after 6 hours.. lol.

-55k What i hate about the system is that humanity increases when you run over the map, i mean its almost like they encourage sitting in 1 spot camping all day(otherwise the humanity will increase). I mean what does running and humanity have to do with each other ? I think a poll with some options is in order :o

I watched some sniper documentary and yes ofcourse it was primarly designed for armored targets, but they ARE used against infantry.

Support and upgrades might continue for a while, but eventually the mod will be dropped, which makes perfect sense.

Put it in a tent ? SVD +built in rangefinder, which works great. Assuming you are playing in a veteran server with no scrolling and assuming you don't have a rangefinder/another spotter with a rangefinder (i find it extremely annoying and ineffective switching between the 2) So basically if you play on a veteran serve i would take the SVD.(more so if duping is fixed) If you play in a server where you see the range w/o rangefinder take the m24. The m24 is also probably easier to use(aim with) for most people. Also if they ever fix duping and do a full wipe and rangefinders actually become rare, then the SVD seems even better, though it will also be rare as fuck. You can calculate the distance of an enemy using mildots(m24 for example), but it is much easier to do with the built in rangefinder of the SVD. Both are great weapons, depends on your preference and knowledge of the game and the weapons.. I hate the DMR, sure you can rapid spam the bullets but a good sniper does not need 20 bullets in a mag, he only needs 1 or 2.

Still not satisfied with the update ? I am still waiting for servers to update to the new version..

Coyote Pack, AS50 with 6 nato mags(or sometimes m107 mags), M4 CCD SSD with 6 mags(or sometimes a thermal L85), m9 sd pistol with 4 mags, 4 bandages, 2 water bottles, 2 cooked meats + nvgs ,rangefinder, axe, matches, compass, map, gps, watch, 2 or 3 blood bags, 2 morphines, 1 epi pen + whatever else i might pick up, sometimes a heatpack when its night and raining or extra bandages in the backpack + whatever useless toolbelt items i might find. I don't know why someone would carry 6 water bottles.. the point of water bottles is that you can refill them and don't have to waste so much space in your inventory/backpack. Sometimes i take a svd dragunov or m24 or DMR instead of the as50.
