I play to survive, but I do have a few badnit encounters, and believe me my heart start's racing xD battles can be long and nerve-wrecking or short and adrenaline-filled. That's what special about DayZ. It's the weight of death this game puts on you... still not as much as hardcore more on D3 though.... that shit made me cry a few times (Not really, but really frustrating)

Is the counter on the DayZ front page broken? It did lasted 1h08m when all the noobs came in a few months ago but a well experienced player will last at least 2-5 days easily unless it's a KoS bandit (Who might I say, still doesn't understand the game). Looking forward to the average life expectancy in standalone.

I had this happen in a gunfight and died. Was very frustrating but I realised 0 on your numpad slows you down and surprisingly, if you lock your walk mode with left shift, you can press 0 on the numpad to start running again

I met this 12 year old sounding dude and he had an AK. We kinda grouped together for a while and I gave him some good stuff and even medical attention. Right as I was about to log off (Which I never should have said) he asked ''Can I ask you a question?'' and started spraying AK bullets at me in the pub. I didn't have time to abort and died. I then said ''Really?'' and he went ''I'M A BANDIT BRO!''. He had a survivor skin. God damn it. Losing 4 hours of progress over this shit is really painful. I'm a medic, I don't kill intentionally, neither do I had anything except an AKM, and morphine in which he could have used. Everything required 2 players. I really don't know why. New rule of engagement, never, and this goes to everyone. Never EVER trust a 12 year old, they MUST be shot on sight. I'm serious.

True, Half of my encounters with people are ''Hey what's up? What you doing? Need any medical stuff?'' and I leave. But this was different, and sadly, i fell into a stupid trust trap. And i assume the consequences.Oh well, starting again isn't so bad really!

Title says it all and I'm gonna keep it simple. DayZ is easy. Really easy. The main enemy, zeds, is nothing but a mere distraction. The real threat are bandits, but that's a different story. I just want to know and see if you guys feel the same way that the zombie horde is really not a difficulty in the game. If you get chased after, just pass through a building and lose the pack. Takes about 50 hits before you start feeling the need to fall unconscious or break a leg. Usually, I don't QQ with barebone arguments like these but I just want to know if others think DayZ has gotten too easy once you have about a week of experience.

About the hero skin.... You can only have the hero skin when you wear civilian clothing and must reach 5000 humanity. Your civvy clothing will change but will still remain ''civvy clothing''. To get the survivor skin with the baseball cap again, you must get negative humanity (Which will turn you into a bandit skin) then reach 2000 humanity to get the survivor skin again. Your skin will not change when wearing camo clothing or ghillie suit.

I am now starting a new mission: Once I see an ATV, I collect whatever can be salvaged from it then pop every 4 wheels. No one deserves to be killed with such injustice. Not even bandits.

So I had reached about 5000 humanity to get a hero skin and logged off a few times during the day. but every time I came back to see how high was my humanity was it kept getting lower and lower for a reason. I just spawned again and it's now at 0 but I still got my hero skin fortunately. Anyone know the bug?
