In most zombie media it takes a while for people to turn when they've been bitten, they also get paranoid and hide it as if they're not screwing everyone by doing so. All it'd take is one person to board a ferry or a plane and, ta da, a whole new country/continent is infected. Also, in some zombie media, animals can also get infected (see: Resident Evil), so birds and rats can migrate with the infection. -

PMC pack makes the player skins much more sharp, with the exception of the camo skin. The BAF pack makes the camo skin sharp. I bought them both because I'm getting in to ArmA as well now. I had no idea some of the player skins had camo on their caps. -

I thought UAZ was in game, the wiki seems to indicate as much. Are you sure the silenced weapons were scripted in? Stop calling absolutely everything you're not personally familiar with "hacking", this forum is getting fucking retarded and the word "hacking" is losing all meaning. -

Despite what people will say, there are no objectively best guns. You have to figure out which is right for you. For example. While I think the scope on the L85 is neat, I'll be passing it to my friends. It might be a nice gadget but it shoots like a bag of shit. -
"Hackers" is losing all meaning now, it's becoming a vague catchall for any unexplained or unsatisfactory death. I left my tea bag soaking too long, hackers. I got shampoo in my eye while showering, fucking hackers.

They might be douche bags but in the end the game wouldn't be the same without them. Realising that makes me calm down pretty quickly when someone one-shots me without warning.

Stuck on black "loading" screen - Help!

Alt-tab out, kill arma2oa in task manager, then re-join the server. That's the only thing that works for me when it actually gets stuck. Sometimes waiting it out eventually works though. -
This. I spawned slightly west of Kamenka and was trying to meet up with the guy who introduced me to the game, I ran west for a couple of minutes until I hit the very edge of the map and then tabbed to the Steam overlay to talk to my friend. Once I tabbed back in to the game I was on the "YOU ARE DEAD" screen. To this day I still don't know if it was a sniper or a zombie, but I lasted ten minutes at the most.
