With all due respect what you call fast, many of us don't. I am no "hardzcorez gamerr" and this post is not intended that way, but I game at 2560x1440 and until my mouse died on me recently I was playing at 5,000 DPI, it's just how I'm comfortable, but for this the game decides I must be punished because unless I move my mouse at half my usual speed it becomes essentially unresponsive. I could just turn my sensitivity down, and I did try as low as 2500 DPI, but at this point I am basically running out of mouse pad and my character feels like turning in a tub of treacle. There is really no reason for the deceleration to be so harsh as it is, it adds nothing to the gameplay and is not remotely consistent over user set-ups. It actually punishes you for being accurate. It's not even realistic in terms of how people move.

It won't, the kind of person who is lazy enough to server hop to gear up will never stop doing it so long as the public hive exists. I'm not saying get rid of the public hive, but I can't wait until private hives come in so that server choice actually matters.

Server hop all you like OP until private hives stop you, my friends and I love killing you guys and getting all your gear. You're the only place I ever find so many fully stocked ammo boxes.

I am sure they will still be easy to acquire for those determined enough to get one, I'm not worried. I'm currently enjoying playing with a Mosin again anyway.

This is the thing I hate most about zombies at this time, and when all the crucial stuff has been fixed I hope the zombies are made to sense the way they do in the mod. I miss having the option to sneak around them (even right by them, if prone and in good cover such as long grass) instead of sighing and hitting them with an axe every time they see me from a mile away.

I am not sure we can assume a cheater caused this, at this point. It could simply be a bug/glitch. This happened to my friend last night so he re-logged and his character was immediately moved from the ocean to the centre of the map, I doubt a cheater did both of those things if any.

I am however still going to make the same points I did before, about how I would vote if the options were there: While I don't primarily play on 3PP:On servers any more I don't consider the current implementation of 3PP unbalanced or exploitative, I think that anyone who's got the drop on you or is better than you at using cover is going to kill you or escape from you in most situations regardless. Saying that I also don't disagree with adding new options that handle 3PP differently (fog of war, camera snapping, etc.) so long as they are options and we are not talking about removing elements of gameplay that are currently completely optional and enjoyed by many.

You again. And you open up with a loaded question, like most people who make these daft "polls", calling it an exploit when not everyone agrees with your definition. For this reason I am not voting, but also because none of the answers apply to me. Here is what I would vote if it were there: 1. I primarily use 1PP but also sometimes use 3PP, if a friend prefers to play 3PP or if my preferred server has rebooted as 3PP by accident. 2. Any "solutions" are fine by me so long as they are new server options and the current option remains. Choice is not a bad thing.

The OP is being a bit mad, but I can sympathise with him. I find it almost impossible to find a server where the sun isn't locked in the southern sky 24 hours a day and I miss the old days of the mod where I could simply log on after working hours and find a GMT-3 server so I could experience the dying of the day.

Considering how short the draw distance is for high detail objects I suspect the original CryEngine could do this game, look prettier, and require less grunt to run. Of course this game was never going to use anything but the ArmA engine, it's in house, why would they licence other people's work? It would be like saying "our engine is shit and we know it".

If they get the drop on me and could kill me anyway I do and I have, sometimes with good results and sometimes bad. That's life. My friends and I like to stick people up and try to get them to sing God Save the Queen down the mic. We handcuff them and look through their gear but they never have anything we'd want anyway, so we end up letting them go without stealing from them or harming them. The people who have co-operated usually run off saying something like "thanks guys!" when we cut them loose. About half of the people we approach co-operate, the ones that don't mostly being psychopath newspawns who figure they should just try to hit you with a wrench or their fists because they have nothing to lose. The people who refuse to co-operate or try to run, and end up with 5.56 in the back of their head, probably run here posting about being KoS. :rolleyes:

You got lucky. In my experience newspawns are psychos who will try to kill you with whatever they can find, or their fists, just to get your gear.

It's entirely the point. You bought the game after being warned that it's in a state, if the progress toward it not being in a state is not fast enough for you then you should wait until it's finished.

Private hives are coming, and will hopefully settle this issue once and for all. It's the "fix 3PP" part I disagree with, because this usually means "I consider it cheating so it must be fundamentally changed or removed" and the logic behind calling it cheating is often unsound. The rest of your argument can apply to any number of situations. I can gear up on an empty server, I can gear up on a night server, I can make sure I join a server just after restart, and once you have gotten 3PP "fixed" because you consider it cheating will you then come for those as well? Because that's what I am always thinking when I read these threads, "stop doing what I don't like".

Nobody forced you to buy it, nobody. You chose to do that.

I made a typo, but I am still going to stick to my guns and tell you that you are ignorant for ignoring the clear warning about taking part in alpha testing that was presented to you when you bought the game. That's your own fault and you're going to have to live with it. By the way, I told you I am not a Christian so there is no need to keep insulting them. On top of ignorant and entitled you're only making yourself look edgy.

You're not forced to play 3PP though, there are servers locked to first-person now. If all you care about is an authentic experience then join me in playing those. I'll repeat again: Add a fog of war or similar option and I'll support it. More choice is better than removing choice, it's not like we don't have enough servers.

I don't feel entitled to anything. I'm not a Christian either, I don't see the relevance. I stand by what I said. The community is better without people who are ignorant, meaning you failed to understand the warning given to you about buying this game while it is in alpha, and people who have an inflated sense of entitlement. I can't think of a single way in which the community benefits from that kind of person, not one.

It's been eight days since the last patch, and as nice as it would be they have more important things to work on than adding guns. Stamp your feet and threaten to take your toys home as much as you want, this is the second thread I have seen in the last ten minutes by an ignorant person with an inflated sense of entitlement. As I said to the other, I hope you enjoy whatever game you play instead because this community just got marginally better without you.
