Absolutely. There seem to be a lot of buildings that don't spawn loot and a lot of individual spawns seem not to work any more, the upstairs table in the green houses with the porch is a good example as I used to find everything from clothing to canteens up there and have not seen anything since the latest update on stable branch.

This is exactly what made me so concerned. Rocket also made a post in one of the patch threads insisting that loot spawns in a certain type of building which never has, not since launch. I do hope the development team are aware of this but if Rocket himself is not then it makes me wonder.

You can do that in Vista/7 too. :P

If the OP wants a borderless pseudo-fullscreen window, which most people tend to do when they use multiple displays, the .cfg file is the better option as it allows you to set precise sizes and window positions.

Windows 7 is pretty good though. ;)

My friend and I were up to our necks in SKS rifles tonight, I guess like others have said they wanted us to test them.

You need to change the resolution values in C:\Users\[Your Username]\Documents\DayZ\DayZ.cfg to the ones you need, and change the last line to Windowed=1;

There are people who still use a twelve and a half year old O/S. :| :(

Does the game re-download if you do this? I have been tempted to try out experimental, but my concern is downloading the whole game again to go back to stable branch if the servers are too busy to get on.

I seriously doubt you have much basis to assume this. Speaking purely anecdotally everyone I know is aware of this exploit and 100% of us choose not to use it, for the same reasons we choose not to server hop or use other lazy methods to acquire gear. As for the exploit itself, I am sure the devs are aware of it and I imagine there is a high priority on fixing it. This is exactly why we do alpha/beta testing, you may not like it but the people who found that exploit and are using it have done us a favour in the long-term.

Bambis have tried to knock me out just for offering them food and water, they just can't be trusted any more.

Surprisingly grass actually seems to be one of the less taxing parts of the game, I would recommend an upgrade.

Which is ironic when a lot of these Rocky wannabe's probably run to the forums complaining about being a victim of KoS, because people are sick of being punched in the head by ungeared or low-geared players who act psychotic just because they have nothing to lose.

I don't disagree with you there. I would probably play experimental myself, but it seems like the chances of getting on a server are too low to justify updating. Edit: 666th post. :huh: ^_^

If they do not want to launch the experimental build on stable servers I can only assume they're not done messing with it. I'm happy to wait.

Personally I am more than willing to endure a little inconvenience if it means I might actually find some loot or not be shot in the face by someone who just logged in when I decide to journey across the map in search of valuable items.

I think people in this game jump far too quickly to the conclusion that they have encountered a cheater. In 125 hours of play I have only encountered one example of what might have been cheating, and I have not confirmed that it was actually cheating so I'm not going to say with any certainty that it was a cheater. The incident in question took place when I was in the top floor of an office building, in the room where the weapons spawn. When using third person in that room the camera sometimes clips and you can see outside, I was not doing this intentionally but I saw a guy coming up on the building and looking right at me so I decided to book it out of there. As soon as I left the room he opened fire from outside the building, he was on the ground near a neighbouring building and not cam-clipping through the wall so I suspected he was using the old PBO exploit that allowed people to see through certain walls.

I have seen rain in DayZ, I have also seen clouds so thick it was like night time. Extremely rare in both cases though. I imagine they know it's almost always sunny in Chernarus at present and will work on it in time. Off topic: Why do you make so many threads?
