ArmA3 confirmed features, what is possible in standalone?

First of all the arma III engine will be used, secondly they should increase the recoil of all weapons and be inspired by sounds from BF3 since they have the absolute most realistic sound engine ever. :D -
Wow! Can you stop making these stupid ass QQ threads... There is no "DayZ" weapon nerf since arma OA is the ones releasing the patches with weapon stat changes, so fuck off and stop whining good sir!

Cool story bro, but it's not a game it's an alpha mod for testing so you should not get cranky. Remember it's not the DayZ devs fault since they havent made the enginge or the anti cheat system...

I am a little conflicted by this idea myself but i think it could work and should fit in dayz if you don't take it overboard. So here is my humble little suggestion: So first of all i was thinking of adding some kind of notes in certain spawn areas and they would tell you where you can find stuff. -Add some kind of map markers/tresure maps who can spawn at random in different loot areas (on a rare occasion). -Make this map markers show four different kinds of locations: Dig sites (you need a shovel) -Caves (we need those caves :D) -Randomly spawned chests (or corpses for more realism) -Abadoned camps (tents, burnt out fireplaces) All of the above will give loot and can be looted by others without a map marker with a little luck. This would give a tresure hunter feeling and who dosen't love that? This is more of a suggestion for the stand-alone (need bigger map) So what do you think of the basic concept?

Yes Yes! Or as i would put it, "Quests in a non lame way... :P But yea a system for finding stuff that spawns random like heli crashes but with maps to find them or just markers gps grids etc.

Yea that is kind of what i meant. Like a little note with a backstory from a survivor where he stashed his stuff from a zombie attack etc :)

Why? It's not quests in that sence it is just notes for minor loot spawns... It would not really deprive the elements of realism/survival...

I dont really get why people suicide... there is great loot and stuff at all spawn points kamenka got alot of deer stands around it and solinichity (sorry for bad spelling, too lazy too google :D) got military tents and the airfield to the north so really none of the spawn points are bad :/ -

The problem with this is if you get shot at and the server restarts/your computer restarts lags etc you will loose all you shit and start 5billon tobics whining about it and demanding a "failsafe" from the devs and then we will be back at the current system...
