I've been playing for just over a week, lost count how many deaths I have had and how many times I've had two of the DayZ Trinity [Hatchet/Hunting Knife/Box of Matches] but today when I logged in it said:- Chernarus Zelenogorsk Day 2 w00t! I've made it passed day 0...

also checkout the troubleshooting board, dozens of tips there...

it doesn't matter which slot you have the Hatchet in, just stand next to a tree and the right-click menu will give you "harvest wood"...

Oh Well, I didn't make it through day 4 :( back to Otmel beach... Got shot while gutting a sheep :rolleyes: now I have a target to beat :D

you should try this, sometimes you can run round Zeds for ages before they eventually kick in [alpha code], also it's quite possible he got mobbed [and dealt with it] while you were in the black screen of death... -

the most unusual place I found matches was the church steps in Staroye! -
I fell off my chair laughing the first time a hacker hit the server I was on... ;) we were all sent to the roof of a building under construction [about 18 survivors] and after the initial 1 second wonder [WTF!] everyone got out axes and started whacking...amazing fun

I'm having difficulty putting a long range weapon into a bag. a] I find a shotgun and open gear, select open bag, select shotgun move to bag, it disappears. b] I have an axe in hand and find a rifle, move axe to toolslot, open bag select rifle, it disappears. c] I have an axe in hand and find a shotgun, pick up shotgun & drop axe, pick up axe, goes to toolslot, open bag, move shotgun to bag, it disappears. I have seen vids with people swapping one long range for another by selecting the one in the bag, it automatically gets swapped with the one in the hand. How do they get the first one in the bag?
