Has happened to me too. Luckily, had just come fairly south from far NE and after relogging was able to sprint back to my body and get everything back. It was tight because even my hunger and thirst weren't resetted and were pretty deeply red on spawning. Have had the variant of this numerous times, when I insta-die on login, after reloggin spawn on coast but with all my gear. I have noticed that everytime this happened i had logged out inside a pine tree, but I don't now if that had anything to do with it.

M9SD is the better gun of course, but ammo is very very rare compared to M1911 ammo. You have to visit A LOT of deer stands or get lucky finding someones tent to have enough ammo. M9SD mags are 15 rounds though, compared to 7 rounds per M1911 mags. Keep the M9SD if possible, you may not come across another in a long time. M1911s are everywhere. And when you find ammo use it sparingly, headshots only from very close range.

This is what I carry too, just yesterday found a M14 to complement my L85 and M9SD. Yay! These guns are perfect together, only now I am so attached to them that the inevitable death due to hackers or spawning on the beach with empty inventory (again) will be even more painful to bear. Took me long ass time to find them all and a coyote pack to fit two primaries and other shit. IMO, best single all around gun for lonewolf is a tie between L85 and M14, they have different strenghts and drawbacks, both elite weapons and as a combo they are the BOSS! And contrary to bizarre urban legend, L85 is not inaccurate at all. Very accurate for a AR in fact.

L85 has adjustable scope zoom. Numpad + and -. My current load out L85 and M9SD are pretty much my favourite guns, perfect for a crazed hermit like me who likes to avoid contacts and drawing too much attention.

Hacking is a problem in this mod, but now your being just paranoid. The first death you describe in a common bug that has happened to me many times. It seems to happen especially when joining a server with older beta. Sometimes it spawns you on the coast with all your gear, most times in the right location, next to your dead body, all gear duped. This is not a hack, it's a bug. Also, getting stuck in the loading screen is not a hack, it is a bug ffs. Then you are telling me it must have beem a hacker that shot you at the helicrash site. I think you simply got legitly sniped in the head. Dude, for example, you couldn't get away from me by running to treeline, hitting the ground and "disappearing". I've got a thermal l85. No hacking needed to headshot you proning in the trees. I don't think the broken bone icon means necessarily that your legs are broken, but you have broken bones, from the shot that also killed you. The third death either doesn't mean you encountered hacking, .45 caliber guns are shit. You really need like 9 shots to the chest to kill a fully heathy player with a 1911 or revolver. Two shots from rifle kill you. It propably was a legit fire fight. None of the things you described means there was hacking involved.

Newsflash: griefing asshole hackers just feed on your tears and rage. That is the only reason they grief other players. They rejoice reading your frustrated threads about hacking. The more you cry, the more they grief. Just play or quit playing, but don't do the only thing they want: cry about it on the forums. There is nothing any of us can do about hacking except let the big boys handle them as well as they can.

I think I'm also capped at 2500. Well I'm not a hero either, so it's ok. But isn't this hero skin easily achievable by exploitation with a group of friends, like bandaging and giving transfusions to each other? Maybe even intentionally shooting each others in the legs with pistols and then giving morphine etc.?

Shot and gutted a boar, it vanished in seconds before I could take the meat. Stanag ammo was refilled from last session, M9SD ammo was not. And yeah, the thermal on L85 works just fine.

I go slow, crouch run, keep looking around and even behind while doing so, stop often and listen to sounds. I do bino the treelines at times. I'm not too worried about someone running up from behind, I'm aware of my surroundings. I like moving cautiously, it isn't boring to me. I probably would be cautious in real zombie apocalypse with murderous humans running around too. This way I almost always see or hear other players before they see me and I survive (day 25 going). Actually the only time I have been killed in a long time was when I stopped playing cautiously for a little while on a server with only a few players. Bumped into a player in the woods and lost the shootout.

No, you are wrong. Rocket himself has said explicitly that disconnecting to avoid death is an exploit and is not tolerated. By your logic exact same excuses could be said about scripting, that you are only responsible to yourself as long as they haven't put a system to prevent it. Right? No. Disconnecting to save your life is an exploit and the developer of the mod has said so himself. There are supposed to measures in the future to monitor loggin in/out behaviour, issued warnings and penalties (do not remember without checking if it was banning or something else).

Yes you do became attched to your gear and toon if you've worked hard for it. And it makes the playing so intense. Permadeath is great in its harshness, its always about decisions, one poor decision and its off to the beach with flashlight again.

Dont prone and turn near bushes, trees, opening doors (outhouses for example), steep hill slopes etc.. You may break your legs, or even die. You may get suck inside rocks, vaulting with v may get you unstuck. Always equip your primary weapon before going up the ladder. With secondary equipped you may glitch, fall and break your legs or die. Dont try to put anything in your backpack if there is not enough space or it vanishes. Primary weapon is 10 slots + ammo.

Well, Berenzino area can be a bit of a hot spot sometimes. If you want really low risk deer stands and don´t mind roaming around, there are four stands between msta and three valleys, almost nobody goes there except maybe fresh spawns with flashlights. There are safe lakes there too if you have water bottles, if you don´t have them, hit polana supermarket on the way south and visit Gorka-Polana area deer stands. You can pretty much stay in the woods all the way from Polana to Kamyshovo if you want.

I don´t think it has to do with accuracy as much as with full damage. Bullets do not disapper, guns are variably accurate at or beyond their effective range, but the damage of the gun is reduced beyond its effective range. For example, shotguns with pellets are fully effective on up to 40 meters, beyond that they lose their 2000 pts damage/pellet. Some of the pellets from Remington are still going to hit the target beyond 40 meters for sure, they are just not fully effective anymore. M9SD´s effective range is 75 meters, but the gun is very, very inaccurate at say 40-50 meters. AKS-74U has effective range of 200 meters, Kobra 300, still Aksu is more accurate at 300 meters because of its good iron sights and kobras terrible "holo" blob sights. Maybe I´m wrong though, not 100% sure about this.

M9SD: Silent but inaccurate. You cannot aggro zombies with it, even the one youre shooting at. From a very close range its deadly, works well in nightime servers. Would have voted M14 for a primary, its not a sniper rifle. Had to vote FN FAL, similar gun, both battle rifles. Double-tap center mass, have a nice vacation on the beach. No noticable bullet drop for good distances. Both just extreamly deadly at any range.

Pro tip: never eat or drink until icon has been flashing for awhile. Otherwise its just a waste of resources.

You did ok. The dude had a drop on you and probably had a ghillie suit. Its hard to say what I would have actually done in that situation, but I think I would have not tried to flank him, but instead waited for him to reveal his position. You had cover, he might have been just concealed, not in cover. In that case you would have gotten him if you found out his position. If crouched you can peek from behind a tree by pressing q and e, maybe if you had played the waiting game he would have tried to move to better position or maybe he would have fired again. You and your friend could have just waited, peeked from behind cover time to time, and let him make a move.

Don´t sweat it, you are probably quite new to the game and panicked a bit. It happens. At least you didn´t abort while in firefight, that is an exploit. Now you are that much more experienced, next time just try to live through it and abort only when you are in a safe location. Do not exploit disconnecting, that way this game is so much fun, it can get so intense.

Never been to Zeleno. Nevertheless, if you get spotted by zombies, don´t panic. Run double-time (double click w) to safety: barns, houses with two exits. Look for them in advance, so you know where to run. Zombies won´t ever hit you if you run double-time. Losing them is easy. Its the other players who are dangerous. You can never trust other players, that´s the fact. Even if they don´t shoot you right away, they can backstab you later on. If someone told me to stop, i probably wouldn´t unless I was in really bad spot. If I spotted a player, I would not try to befriend them, or approach them in any way. I just want to survive as a lone wolf. But if you really want to take your chances, you can act friendly by lowering your primary weapon (double tab left ctrl), saluting, or turning away from them while talking through direct comm. It will probably get you killed though. Edit: if you want to team up, better to do it with your real life friends or with some of the good guys on this forum.

Best place to find matches is supermarket. If you´re heading that way, check out the one in Polana. Not usually a hot spot, you can observe from a distance (200+ meters) that there are no zombies shuffling around. If they only spawn when you come closer, there are no other players around. Zeds usually start wondering towards the hills both sides of the village, I´ve practically never encountered a zombie once in town. Entering and exiting are little trickier. Evenings after dark are easier. Once inside a supermarket keep your head on swivel, get what you need and gtfo. There is a big apartment building next to the supermarket, matches are sometimes there too. No one has ever shot at me first, but then again I tend to be really careful and not to be seen. Never visited the big cities. I have been what I thought stalked once and bumbed into once. First didn´t answer my direct chat, the second came straight at me in dark, probably didn´t see me until he was two meters away. Two murders for me, because I´m a paranoid geezer and won´t take chances at this stage anymore (day 22 going). Felt bad both times. Lots of times players were near but didn´see me, I always let them be. You can be a "good guy" even of you have murdered, it takes something like 5 murders from what I´ve heard. I don´t know if count resets on respawn. So the guy you killed could have murdered others, but probably less than five. Edit: I remembered now I actually have been shot at once, was looting a heli crash and some clan came in a car with LMGs. I ran zig zag and survived.

Yes, I have heard something similar about servers. Its true you should find at least trash loot in a supermarkets or towns, as it is very common and only loot farmers would pick it up. And those farmers are found only in high-tier military loot spots like NWAF if at all.

It is not a bug, loot spawning does not have 100% probability. Depending of the type of building etc. probability for any loot at all at one loot spot is usually somewhere between 30-60% IIRC. For example, deer stands have only two loot spawning spots and sometimes one or both are completely empty. Some houses have only one loot spot, which has a chance to be empty. Places like supermarkets with 20+ loot spots are not completely empty though, unless someone looted them just recently. Edit: for reference, see: http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html

AKS-74U got nerfed a bit, but its still fairly good for close quarters imo. Short barrel, gets stuck to door frames actually less than a pistol, very quick and agile to handle. 4-5 shots to kill a player at full health, can fire full auto or as fast as you can click. Better iron sights than most ARs imo, accurate easily at 200 meters, more effective than MPs in close or at longer ranges. Very common ammo. Fairly quiet too. Of course, there are higher-tier weapons like M4A3s or LMGs, but I think Aksu is still pretty serviceable weapon for indoors-medium range fighting.
