Daytime servers are always overloaded.

Servers. Set your own up guys if you're area is lacking in daylight servers. It's not rocket science. I thought US had cheap hosting and lots of servers? The same way you get your head around the fact some people PREFER playing at night. And don't see 'this' as a problem in the slightest. You forget, you missing out, that's just your opinion. Other people see it as 90% more fun and enjoyable and tense at night. You're missing what we are enjoying. It's okay, not everyone is the same. Oh, and apologies for talking. I have two days (saturday and sunday) that allow me to play during the daytime, I choose not to do this though and go for a reverse server or play something else until it late at night when the servers are emptier. I just tend to find a lot more cod pistol rushing bandits when the sun is up and the servers are packed. It's probably just me though. -
So the problem is that all of the servers in your country are running on a different time zone? Or That you haven't checked them all yet to find out which ones are running local time and which ones are reversed? I'm still confused as to why you are getting tired of this. If all the server hosts in your area are running on the opposite time then your only solution to join another regions server or look at setting up your own server running on correct time. There's no way to tell from the server list unless it's in the name or if you remember. And here where I'm from, in Australia, we have 9 servers, I know which ones are not running on local time and which are reverse. So please, tell me more.

Ok, so that confirms that this isn't the cause of the sliding problem you have noticed. There seems to only be two people on it currently (while the rest of the server remain full), I'm sure it won't remain this way for the whole weekend, if it does well at least you posted here and noticed it. -

I don't view passworded servers on my server list so tell me, how long has this server been running passworded for? As with the increasing amount of sliding , your information pertaining to the length of time that this server has been running passworded would go some way into explaining this. After all, if the server only appeared today then the password is to be expected until it's up and running smoothly but it shouldn't remain and this would not be the cause of sliding you have noticed. http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1429 So yeah, how long has it been like this? -

My honest opinon is if you didn't want to buy it when you saw the videos/articles on it then you'll probably do better to skip it, and wait for it to come on sale when it's cheaper and it's had more updates. Heck, after I saw a post on this the decision to get it was no brainer, I would have gotten it even if it was on full price, there's actually not much really like this currently out for gamers. -

I'd be inclined to suggest it's not safe to logout ANYWHERE that players frequent.

Find a server that has hardcore mode and a lower player count. It might also help to play at night. These are the two things I do when I to increase fun and lower my encounters with bandits. You can usaully find players to team up with here that feel the same way. Create a unit, move as a unit and you should be fine, make sure someone has medical supplies so that you can come back from injury and bandits. I've been suprised at the amount of times this has happened, I've had the most fun with only 10 players on a server, joining a busy one tends to result in death each time I see a person or salute someone.

Details in a situation like this are what is required. What region/server were you on? What exactly happened surrounding the killing of everyone? How did he hack? Simply saying their name, hacking and killing everyone and expecting something to be done is simlar to telling the police 'jack stole something from somewhere'.

I can't imagine the ping is that bad playing on the US servers from Canada. That aside though feel free to contact any of the clans/server hosts in your area to see if they can help you out. This really is something for you to look into if you really NEED to see it happen. So far it seems nobody else has NEEDED it to happen, and that is simply the only reason why it hasn't already happened. There's a subforum for server general which is probably a good place to start if you're looking for server hosts or to apply to setup your own.

I personally enjoy the nighttime/darkness. The preview videos I saw of nighttime prior to playing was one of the reasons why I decided to get this game. I guesss if the darkness in this mod isn't realistic enough for you or fun enough. Then there's always other games that do have a more realistic and fun night maps to play on or you could always hold your breath for this to hit your favorite console. -
It seems after a closer read you're only requesting three changes + safezone area + weapon fire warning system + no loot in area Now given that the first and the last are already well and truly in this game as noticed by everyone posting here, It seems you only need one change to occur for your suggestion to happen, for some kind of weapon firing system to autokick when triggered by ff and determined by a zone. I guess what I'd rather see is an area enforced by players, setup by players, and run by players than a predetermined area setup and locked to the game for everyone.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what it seems this suggestion is directly addressing a problem ONLY people wanting to run a private server are facing. I'm a casual player, the last thing I'd want is to land on some custom/tweaked out server so it would have to be passworded 24/7. I'm also strongly against the idea of dev time being spent on a community hive hosted setup until later on in the development phase, it seems like it's just extra work for mod that is still under a fair bit of development and something that only a portion of the current player base would notice or benefit from.

Try running ARMA 2/ ARMA 2 : CO first. Also, create a profile. Pretty much the only thing listed that doesn't seem to be tried yet. Then if that doesn't work, try joining an online game for both of these. This should allow us to pinpoint your problem. -

Just from your post it almost sounds like you might have been kicked/banned for trying to impersonate an admin, saying '' x is not tolerated on this server and enjoy your ban " would have that effect. Or maybe he's just mates with Robert and did it for a laugh. Either way though, it's a comple dick move and I hope someone can name the guys running this server or post the full logs to explain the situation.

Oh my, don't get too upset, I did say you had a nice poem. EDIT: I just noticed how many words you directed at my two lines of text. Relax, don't get so upset over something so small. It honestly seemed like you didn't spend more than 10 seconds thinking/typing out this suggestions so I figured my reply would suffice. I guess not so here goes. You're trying to add training wheels to this game. Don't. Just stop trying to make it easier. Just to claify, as you seem to have a problem getting it. The fact that you will hit your teamate if you can't aim for sht is a good thing. The fact anyone can turn on you in an instant is also a good thing. Removing either of these, even if it's optional and something two players want, IS BAD FOR REALISM. Welcome to dayz. This mod runs on the tears of children.

Why is he adding things instead of fixing things? Check the patch notes' date=' things are getting fixed. [i']* [FIXED] Climbing a ladder with a pistol will cause you to fall In this mods current stage in it's development cycle, features are given a higher priorty than 'polishing' or minor bug fixing as this allows it to evolve and features to be tried/tested and generally played around with. I'm going to have to direct you to THIS thread for further reading.
