Again, the spawn points are fixed. Please go to the Dayzdb map and look for yourself. If you server hop enough, the vehicle will be there, then you can drive it off and hide it and laugh at how no one can use it. Can't wait til you meet the ARMA 2 heli controls. You probably wont blow up anything. -
Sometimes I think this mod was designed for 2 things. 1. So that Rocket can lol at all the griefing. 2. So that people can use "I play Day Z" as a way to pretend they play super hard games.

You realize the vehicles spawn in the same place every time right? Thats how they get them all. They just camp the spawn and server hop. -

In the zombie apocalypse, you can't use oars to propel a boat. You can't find bicycles or ANYTHING. In the zombie apocalypse vehicles magically appear in the exact same place every now and then, and a guy magically appears next to that place every 2 minutes checking to see if its there. Hyper realism simulation at its best. -

Are you really dumb enough to believe that in the zombie apocalypse all the houses randomly become empty? BTW in the real world I dont keep all my guns, matches, and food on the floor in my living room. Also the game isn't hard. The difficulty comes from how buggy it is, and the retarded sniper that sits above every city with any supplies in it. It isn't "Hard" to run 20 minutes from town to town. It is tedious. -

Lol this game isn't in Alpha. It is a mod that uses mostly textures, models, and features from a game that is completed. Glad to see you are gullible and willing to believe that Rocket is going to magically make this into a standalone game when he can't get the Arma 2 version to work. -
So earlier today I was near Balota or whatever, and I found a dead body. So I'm like ugh, dude here spawn killing, better watch out. So I find another spot where i hear flies, then another. I run inside this warehouse and start looking around, and then I hear flies AGAIN. Then it happens. I hear over the close range VOIP someone, obviously sick in the head, grunting into the microphone. Then, he starts laughing, 1980s horror movie style. I was apparently within mere meters of someone from The Hills Have Eyes. Needless to say, i logged, wrote a post about how scared I was on facebook, and then watched a movie in my living room.

You know, I get it, its the zombie apocalypse, but seriously. Who's idea was it to throw in a 255 km map with 240 km of useless wilderness with no way to get around 99 percent of the time but hoofing it. I want to keep playing tonight, but i don't have another 45 minutes to run to a barn and find a winchester. -

Spawn hoarding should never be a game feature in anything. I really am getting tired really quickly of deciding between dying in elektro trying to get supplies, or getting bored running 2 hours to find supplies inland and usually getting smacked by a zombie that aggroed from 200m away. -

I am new to the forums, but I'm super into the game. I'll start out by saying that I am not a bandit. I usually get confused on the map, and end up slamming into a place where i get sniped from a tower, and it is annoying. However, lets remember that this isn't an mmo. The bandits aren't "PKing you". This is an fps set in apocalyptica. So people aren't logging into this game looking for you to be their new best friend. I KoS sometimes because I'm not interested in having new friends enough to take the chance. I'm trying to survive. Not meet a new friend on skype. If they put in some kind of system that makes it obvious that people are bandits, it will defeat the entire purpose of the bandit system and turn this into a really lame 2 faction first person shooter. In reality, when someone wants to hurt you, they don't wear a uniform anymore. This is 2012. The time when people announced to you that they were after you is over. I'd like to see Rocket focus harder on adding more sandbox elements like a more realistic housing system or food/drink/temperature systems that actually hurt these players that only run around shooting other players before we get a giant sign on them that says they are bad guys. Just wanted to give me 2 cents here. Without the "omg i might get shot" feeling in this game, it isn't Day Z. It is fallout new vegas. -

I was at that point, and I agree that zombies are easy to kill. But, another glorious work of zombie fiction is The Walking Dead. THE COMIC NOT THE DUMB TV SHOW. In the walking dead the zombies are weak and they literally kill them with normal household hammers and hatchets in droves. They also get owned by a guy with a tank. Day Z is typical zombie fiction. -
Apparently no one watched the video. When he kills the guy he screams Are you not entertained?!?! Its from a movie tight wads.

Pretty sure BI only patches this game now for Day Z. No one plays Arma 2. It is a terrible blight on the FPS genre. -

Romero isn't the only person who ever wrote about or thought about zombies. 28 days later wasn't the first fiction to feature fast zombies. The fact that you are so engrained with the idea that everyone thinks of only two IPs when they think of zombies proves that you are either young, or didn't learn about zombies until 2004 or whenever the DOTD remake came out. -

So basically you think Rocket can do what no one has EVER been able to do, and control the games community? If people want to KoS they will KoS and nothing Rocket does will stop them, short of making everything too easy and ruining the game. -

Now I feel like a douche. And to the poster before you, the new Dawn of the Dead has fast zombies. Sure it isn't the original, but it has fast zombies. That said, Rocket doesn't have to conform to any previous Zombie fiction. He is creating fiction. He can make anything whatever he wants. Zombies aren't real. -

There is no way to force people into being friendly. Until they force people to be friendly, no one will trust anyone because they can't. This isn't a PVE monster hunter game. That is why Rocket doesn't go out of his way to protect the people who try to play it as one. -
So basically you think that in game you can't get someone by surprise because they will turn and shoot you. You can shoot more than once before someone turns. This game isn't as realistic as you seem to believe either if you want to get that technical. Even 1 9mm round would cause enough pain to render most non-military people to be useless in combat. It wouldn't kill them though.

First off, saying Zed makes you look like a serious hipster. Second, the idea that you presented is called "level gating", It is a generic MMO concept that forces people to progress in a straight line. This is not an MMO. This is barely an RPG. It just has a loot system.
