I haven't played Dayz in about 6 months and I've been wanting to get back into it for a long time but haven't had the opportunity to since I didn't have a computer and for 4 of those months I was basic training. I'm not looking for a group of players or a clan. Just one person to game with. Competent-to-some degree at least and preferably based in the US. I live in Colorado, weekends off and workdays end at 6pm (mountain time). So obviously thats my schedule there. I was in Cherno with a DMR bored out of my mind so I figured I would go kill some of the snipers. I killed three people, two bandits on the ground and a tricky sniper in another building. I saw him for the briefest of moments when he popped his head out and then subsequently hid again. I killed the two people in part hoping that it would draw him out. It didn't. I continue to check the hills The first bandit was on the roof of the firestation with what looked like a CZ or a DMR (Firestation roof lolwut)? I fire two shots at quick succession and miss because I haven't used a DMR in a long time. He hides behind the tower for a bit occasionally peeking out. Finally see him threw the window and kill him. The second guy (another bandit) was going crazy with what was either an M4 CCO or M16 Acog not even 200 meters from the firestation. He gets hit by a zombie then kills them all and runs by a fence to bandage himself. One shot to the shoulder drops him to the ground and some stray zombie comes and eats him to death. In all this time the enemy sniper only peaked out once. I actually thought he disconnected up there I hadn't seen him for so long. After another five minutes I see him standing in the doorway with an AS50. I Q around my corner and drop him. I go to loot him since I wanted a zero-capable weapon. So I'm driving down Northwest Airfield in a pickup I just stole from some major base which had 9+ vehicles. See no zombies, think everything is cool. Proves to be true until I hit the southeast most part of the airfield where I see a guy in a ghillie being all sneaky and the like except he is in the open. So I'm just roaring down at 108 until I hit the grassy patch where he is and I drop to 10-15ish. The guy doesn't see me and I'm going for the roadkill. Get up to 15 on a straight and hit the guy who turns to see me at the last moment but doesn't have time to move. I Hear his legs break and am about to drive off figuring he is at the VERY LEAST unconscious and about to bleed out and aware he may have some mates. I'm backing up because I got locked in near some trees when hitting him when I hear the sound of his M107 and see the guy shooting at me. I try to jump out of the truck to just shoot the stubborn guy, but it blows up right before I can kicks me out of it unconscious to the ground where he kills me with his M107. I'm honestly shocked the guy didn't die. I don't regret that I lost my stuff and truck as one of the things my group took was a Ural which we loaded from the Mega base along with some other vehicles so gearing back up isn't an issue. I only regret that I had morphine on my body.

Yes, soldier camo NOT regular camo clothing. Is it in the game, was it ever in the game? Seen a lot of back and forth here and a response from a Dev/Rocket would be nice. Maybe because that only contributes to the problem and makes you just as bad as them because you have an unfair advantage? I've seen some hackers, but I think most people exaggerate this problem its not like they are on EVERY SERVER as half the people on this forum seem to think.

True to an extent, with camo it doesn't matter minus the fact I'm more badass than 99% of the players now with it but I wouldn't want to use a hacked minigun that did 100000k damage or something with that logic.

Sure you just didn't get flanked or that someone actually just logged behind you (I know what you are saying is teleporting)? Pretty sure a hacker would have just godmode up to your face and spray you with a G36, or fling you into the sky, or just instant kill you.

Perhaps in tents or bases you raid. Just a simple note you can leave maybe informing them of who you are or just really anything. Shouldn't be that hard to add in from a technical point of view in my opinion.Obviously not a priority compared to the more prevalent bugs of this game, but I think it would be a cool feature.

Parachute are already in the game people... Just eject at 100+ meters in the helicopter.

I just found one in a tent. Thought it was disabled, is it possible it was left over from when it was removed (if it was) or was it for sure hacked in?

K, thanks man. I was also just teleported into debug zone about 6 minutes after getting it while I was approaching a tent on a bike. Could it just be a bug or did a hacker tp me?

Did you like us flying our helicopter over your base, shooting your bus up (that we stole earlier after killing ADZ-Cheo), dropping paratroopers, killing 5 of your players, while you only killed three of us? We are hunting you and we barely used any of our resources there. How many of the NVGs did you guys lose 4? FPS lag is server side. And I'm not talking about lag generated from latency, but instead from server overload.

Sorry for a question that I'm sure has been posted here many a time, however the server search function does not seem to work for me for some reason. Does it mean that you can use the map? Or that you show up on the map (every server I have been on has my location being displayed with a blue dot)? Will it display other players, this is a veteran server I am on that has this option and I don't want it to show the other players, their location, or my location. Seems like it would ruin the fun knowing if other players are close or something. The server in question is US 302.

Particularly NdWr-Tazkiller Thanks for the GPS, I kinda feel bad for killing you immediately as you spawned since you were pretty much defenseless but my friend was literally 4 feet from you behind your tents. By the way, thanks for all the supplies, they are really helping us. Especially the GPS we took off of your body. I would recommend moving those tents, if you don't we will come around and keep stealing things out of them and maybe eventually blow them up. This is server US165. To parachute, I'll admit it is buggy, but I find the best way is to be 100+ meters up and auto hover until you have 0 speed and don't gain or lose altitude then let them jump.

I believe that this is an important issue if you are a geared player with a vehicle. Its beyond annoying when the server I'm on spontaneously restarts without any warning and you reconnect are really far away from the vehicle and have no idea where it is. I was flying a helicopter and the server restarted without warning and thankfully I was on a flat hill and it just landed there, but if there was a slope the thing would have blown up from hitting trees. Something that would have been beyond frustrating since me and my team spent over 12 hours first fixing the helicopter then retrieving it after it was crashed. I know some servers warn before they do it, but they are so rare. What I propose is whenever an admin forces a nonscheduled (and it should do this even on scheduled restarts) it should give a 3-5 minute delay and warn the players who are currently on the server. It would also help to prevent admins from restarting immediately after they are killed (which is something I've seen people briefing about on here though I don't know why as they would still be dead and their body would disappear?) I don't know how difficult it would be to set this up, but I imagine it wouldn't be THAT difficult since (correct me if I'm wrong, not sure) people cannot host their own servers and must go through certified server host.
