  1. DayZ is suppose to be an immersive experience of a harsh existance in the zombie apocalypse. It's not. It's a B grade horror flick that engages you with for all of five minutes before you realise once again you've been burned by popular word of mouth and you've ended up in yet another shitty team deathmatch game.

Surviving in DayZ isn't hard. There's no reason to be fearful of the Zombies, anyone with an IQ greater than their shoe size knows this. You could make the zombies little golden retriever puppy dogs and the game would play exactly the same.

My solution is simple: DINOSAURZ. I don't know why it's happened, but for some reason there are dinosaurs in Chernarus. All variety of dinosaurs, from the herds of relatively docile Brontosaurus to packs of clever Velicoraptor right up to the fearful Tyrannisauris ready to rip the roof off your stupid UAZ and eat you whole.

As the Dinosaurs will have dominated the food chain they will be the only reliable source of food, as the smaller animals able to evade the dinosaurs will be difficult to hunt. Hunting the dinosaurs will be incredibly difficult as many of the weapons will be ineffectual against larger dinosaurs, so you don't want to become the prey yourself when you are out in the wilderness.

Rocket, if you are reading this, I hope you use this idea, but if you don't I will make a mod for your standalone game and when it becomes popular I will make a standalone game myself.

  2. Rocket & C° write the code for DayZ.

If he wants wind + velocity and any other odd thing added to sniper rifles or whatever, I'm sure he'll work it out.

    Not everybody is ACEaholic, btw.

Also ::: You MAY NOT run any other mods, or keys.

This is one of the Rules concerning Servers.

Yeah sure. DayZ dev team can do whatever they want. But a nerf to hill snipers outside cherno/elektro would be fantastic; I think it's one of those things that is done without purpose and it does discourage new players. Hell, it discourages me knowing it goes on and 2/3 of my characters are nowhere near the coast.

  3. I find it bad having limitless ammo becoming limited ammo, even though it's more realistic :P

Shame I won't be able to shot with AKM several scores to tens of dozens of zeds, relog and then again to build up the score xD,but it will also be nice seing sniper amount drop,as mentioned alredy.

I think it won't have much of an effect as you think:

These people sniping often have ghillie suits. If so, they can easily regain their ammo by changing clothing.

I'm not sure if it is a common trend, but I have snuck up on quite a few godmode snipers - no matter how many swings of the axe they get, or bullets to the head, they will not die. These guys obviously would have no trouble spawning ammo for themselves.

  4. Yep, a guy just destroyed my camp with 7 vehicles in it with a satchel charge, but Im lucky that I was the server admin and restarted and got the bastard banned, but yes, Its really out of control, 40% of DayZ players are cheaters, is almost becoming worse than Counter-Strike!!!

Sorry. How do you know this guy was not legit? People trade for Satchel Charges all the time, doesn't mean they hacked it in. I'm glad your admin buddy restarted the server though so you could horde 7 vehicles in your camp.

yeah I have found a few C4's spawn at the barracks so they are not just a hack. A usefull tool would be for server admins so see the hackers online. If ther admin could see everyone on the map then it would fix this. he would be able to see people teleport and ban their IP addrsss or whatever it is. when people are being hit the server admin can see if the guy is playing legit or cheating. he would see that the hacker was killed and should be omn the coast but when he can see him suddenly at the NW airfield then you know somethings up

Considering almost all servers are run by clans, and in my experience none of them have any problem restarting a server if their vehicles get taken or destroyed - adding this kind of ability is a very bad idea. I think a better idea would be one reserved slot for dedicated volunteers or game staff, or perhaps more could be reported to the (a different?) hive where it can be actioned from there.
