How would you prevent an experienced group of snipers in ghillie suits and nvgs from sneaking up behind your camp, bypassing the bear traps, and going on a rampage, or a secret bandit clan from joining your group only to take out the sniper positions with a silenced shot to their heads while they're distracted whilst watching the roads?

^I think he didn't disco because he knows how annoying it is, and he probably thought he had a chance which his little ambush, maybe his friend was on the way to his position after dropping by a supply cache they had set up.

You never really get a chance to do something like this, it's almost as though from a movie. Most players would have just started shooting as soon as they heard them yelling. You waited though and managed to see something awesome while killing the bandit who was sticking the poor sod up.

He almost surely would have shot you if you hadn't sprayed him. Especially if he saw you walking out of a hospital, he'd think you looted it and wouldn't want to waste the time waiting for the spawn.

The smart thing to have done would have been to call out in chat (after your pants had recovered) "Gunfire in Elektro!" At which point you could have chatted with the other player, setting up a place to meet and work together, let's just say at the pub, you meet there, start searching the place, and find the other survivor upstairs, presumably afk, at which point you would kill that guy with your new partner, and being the new bandit you are, would immediately unload an AKM clip into your new buddy's chest, netting you one more kill than just the one survivor in the pub plus giving yourself the satisfaction that comes with a semi planned betrayal.

Yeah, if they made heli's any rarer, there'd be ambushes set up on the one spawn point for it waiting for some unlucky sap who took the time to gather all the parts to make their way to the heli only to be shot in the head.

He might've gotten lucky at a heli crash that he stumbled upon, for all we know he could have been a noob to the ways of the walking bush and just crouched in the middle of a field to pose as a bush.

Well basically, go to a highly lootable area, say the NW Airstrip, then start searching in an ever increasing radius with binocs to find camps near it for easy storing of high value items.

Yes, it's so much better to have your killer think about it, then realize you mean no harm and he will then shoot you when you go to loot.

It's kill or be killed out there, and that one person who betrays you first changes your life. I like to be that kind of person. Exploit the innocence of the noobs, thinking everyone out there is going to be trustworthy and be their adventure buddies for life. I wanted to try to help them, but one bad egg spoils the group, so now I destroy the lives of noobs with an execution shot to the back of the head.

Or did that same player have a friend who wanted NVG's as well? And was about to kill him as soon as he turned around...

*sees where he is* Yep, totally not a bandit trap or anything... Move your location, that's a hotspot for bandits, which you might be, and if you are, still move it so it's less suspicious to onlookers.
