My suggestion would be the ability to upgrade a building adding barricades, cameras, senors, fences (Pretty sure these are already implemented) onto the building you are currently living in. This would make the community more safe/secure upon playing the game because bandits and/or other thieves would have a hard time to penetrate the walls of your building (Base). Another idea i thought of along the lines of buildings where making a stationary post that you would be able to camp in to ambush on coming evaders such as bandits/thieves. This is all i have today, i also realize this isn't as long as other peoples threads but i truly think simplifying topics would be much better for the reader. I disagree there should be a challenge on getting a vehicle because they provide advantages over other players.

Calm down this is still in the alpha stages, there is also beta and then the official release. You're thinking ahead a lot..

They'd have to slow the zombies down a little bit then and it'll be much harder but i support 100% fully with this idea.

Right not DayZ is profitless it's money is highly likely from investors that will be paid when a standalone version comes out. So rocket and his development team have to maintain the forums that has been receiving A LOT of traffic during these past months from they're own pockets as well as maintain servers.

It's still in development, Wait until official release it will be free highly likely or about 5-10 right now it's overpriced.
