My brother and I are from CA and play quite a bit of DayZ since we found it last month, you're welcome to hit us up anytime. We mostly play on US 510 atm (Bay area server.) Steam ID is kcvrbk. =) As far as the lure of the northwest airfeild, you can get in and out of the high loot areas pretty fast, long as you're carefull going in and keep and eye out for zombies (solid sign of other players in the area) you can usually get in and out with some decent loot. Best tip I could offer you is check stuff out fast, and do it quietly without any shots and don't be greedy, when I've died up at the airfeild its cause I've stayed too long, get some loot and get out and you should be good.

Seems that a hacker has started up thunderdome on 510 this morning, from what I can see in the player lobby, the only person that never died was Platypus, not that knowing the name would really help. . . since it only takes like 5 seconds to change your name at the startup screen lol. not sure when it started but I tried to log in at about 12:00 PM PST.

follow the main road on the left side of the map past the NW airfield till it ends at the plains, then turn south head up to the top of the mountain there and look down around there, I've found a camp there on just about every server I've been on lol, usually has a few cars. ^^

Its possable that nothing was out of the ordinary, but been on this server for several days now and they've always had restarts late at night and the server itself was very stable, didn't have any connection problems and what not. Then today it happens in the middle of the afternoon right after we hijack this truck when they left it unguarded? :huh:

Just stole a blue Ural Civilian loaded to the gills with guns, ammo, and supplies from 2 guys running around green mountain with my buddy at around 3:00 PM PST 7/26/2012 on US 1067 (not sure what server time honestly). we then drove off and down the mountain and off onto some dirt roads and started heading east away from were they were, about 5-10 mins later the server was restarted several times and the truck vanished from were we had it. Not sure if it was abuse or just really bad timing on our part but seemed fishy so tossed up this post. Thanks for any and all help you can provide. =)
