That other icon isn't sprain, it is shock, shock lasts for 5 minutes and nothing removes it other than time. Wiki is your friend http://dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Status_Effects Shock Symptoms: If the player logs out with this status, the next time they log in they will spend a long period unconscious. It is marked by a White symbol on the HUD Causes: Shock is the status effect a player will receive after being shot at by another player or damaging themselves somehow. Treatment: This status will last for 5 minutes and is incurable.

[/quote'] how about adding the option to put one's weapon on his back (like it's done in some Domination scenarios (or ACE), effectively giving you an extra slot for your main weapon? yea that was what I was getting at, at least someone understood and knew where I was coming from, hah, thanks sorophx

I just figured if you kept your primary weapon on your back, like it is normally if your using a secondary, you would have your hands free to use a melee weapon without unequipping your primary or secondary. *shrug* But whatever Rocket decides will be fine I'm sure, I'm just here to throw out ideas and suggestions! :-P

Well with this thought in mind, I've been thinking of something Rocket, maybe allow these tool belt items to be used without unequipping / removing your primary or secondary weapons, like allow tool belt items to be used via the mouse wheel or the "F" menu like how you switch to flares / chemlights / cans & bottles to throw / grenades etc. so you can use those tool items without dropping / unequipping your primary & secondary. That sound any better? Or is this even possible? unsure of engine capabilities.. *shrug*

How bout doing the same for the flashlight? +1 Awesome idea. And people wonder why we have the forums? * [NEW] Flashlights can now be packed to toolbelt also (gear action) .. water bottles? Needs an advantage over soda cans which are _everywhere_. they already do, it is called they are refillable at any water source (other than the ocean).

Rocket, I got 2 small suggestions. 1) You should make the hatchet go back in the utility slot, and from your inventory you can right click it to chop / harvest wood like you use to normally, or you can right click it to equip it as a melee weapon. 2) you should do the same thing with the crowbar, and also as a future feature / suggestion, you can make the crowbar able to pry open locked doors (like when you make all the unenterable buildings enterable) or make it so you can lock doors as a future feature, could also use the crowbar to break / pry things as well? (ie if you eventually make it so you can make keys for and lock vehicles, or if you make like lockable boxes, crates, chests, etc that you can store things in) Would also be nice in the future if the zombies had to break down doors etc instead of opening them or just walking through them. -
you are an alpha tester. but you did know that from beginning. if you want something to be fixed / changed you have to play it like it is. Adding to what themaster said: "if you want something to be fixed / changed you have to play it like it is." And Provide Feedback / Bug Reports / Suggestions to get things looked at / changed / fixed.

My god you people are blowing my mind, did you even read the OP at all or just instantly came here to say no? You wouldn't hear the heartbeat all the time. So what you are worried about, what you are describing, wouldn't happen, it wouldn't be a issue at all. Again "Well it seems to me that you would only get the sound if you are staring / aiming at someone for a extended period of time, so unless you frequently "make out" or "stare longingly & lovingly into each others' eyes" it really shouldn't be a issue. " You are going to have to be aiming at the person with your ironsights / crosshairs (if you are on a server with them enabled). Your not going to hear it all the time just because your near someone with really low humanity. It is going to happen when you are staring the person down trying to "feel them out" and deciding whether to trust them or not. -

So I just one shot killed a guy prone crawling up to my 2 story barn with a well aimed crossbow bolt, and was able to recover the bolt. Veteran Server, No Cross hairs, using the crappy rail sight, Do I win the game? :-D :-P

Well it seems to me that you would only get the sound if you are staring / aiming at someone for a extended period of time, so unless you frequently "make out" or "stare longingly & lovingly into each others' eyes" it really shouldn't be a issue.
