    you need to make sure arma / dayz is not running when you go through these steps, you also want to make sure your running Steam in admin mode if your using Vista or Windows 7

    some files must have got corrupted during the steam update while you were playing the game, same happened to me

    Ok I found a fix for this. What I did: Go into your steam library, right click Arma 2 go to properties, Local Files, Verify Integrity, wait till it completes. Do the same thing for Operation Arrowhead Launch both games again like you did when you first installed to the main menu screen then you can exit then right click OA again and launch combined operations to relink the games then after your done with all that (doesn't take long) you should be able to launch dayz again and join servers. Worked for me

    The War Z - DayZ copy?

    WarZ doesn't sound that great though, I'm still waiting for DayZ stand alone, this developer (for WarZ) totally lost me when I heard of quests and currency in their game, its a freaking apocalypse, there is no currency, only supplies / goods and trade, that is freaking stupid. When it comes to quests, I like the sandbox feel of dayz better where you make your own quests, would hate to play a game like this with yellow question marks over npcs heads, that and a I'm not fond of the 2 different modes system. and NPC guarded safezones? *Spits at Warz* no thank you!

    I wanted to try and build it again, but since you made it so it to only last 7 days I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to pull it off, building it myself it took like 2 weeks possibly more to get where I was with all the dying and travel time, etc. etc. :( Vipeax was going to come check out my base in person on Wednesday, but it was all gone, everything was still there Tuesday, sigh.

    so your the person that destroyed my base? >:( I was using the stuff correctly! everything had entrances still! Not just blocking everything completely off with no openings like a dick! Not Cool! That took me like 2+ weeks to build it up to the way I had it! ugh :P I guess base building is destroyed. Really wanted to get pictures and video to show Rocket and the community, blah!

    I vote yes for this Headshot only Kills Shots that do not hit the Head should damage the zombie though, thus slowing them down. Leg Shots turn the Walker zombies into crawlers. Any hit on a Hopper other than Headshot would turn them into Crawlers. Chest / Stomach / Center mass body shots can turn the Walkers into Crawlers or Hoppers depending on where you hit them, how many shots, and the caliber of the bullet. (Basically based off of damage).

    Build 1.7.2 Rolling Update

    I've noticed a bug with the zombies, after 7pm server time according to my in game watch, it was dusk, sun was still out but going down, and all the zombies were standing around stuck, not moving not aggroing, they would attack if you got close enough but would not move from their spot. I could run around right by them unharassed and loot stuff, was like free loot time. Like they were stuck in "investigation" mode, I have recorded some video of it if you need to see it.

    Ya never answered me Ander, hoping to not be completely ignored here on the base building (inside the map borders) with the wire fencing / tank traps / and sandbags, please respond!

    What constitutes as unused and unmaintained? how do you use / maintain wire / tank traps / and sandbags? Can you help me out with this one? Because I'm currently building my friends and I a base using these 3 items and will be pretty pissed if they just start disappearing for no reason. I mean you can already remove them manually in game with a tool box (for wire & tank traps) and a entrenching tool (for sandbags). Maybe just make it so you can't build / put down these items unless you have those same tools you need to remove them? (toolbox for wire & tank traps and entrenching tool for sandbags respectively) I'm almost done building the base, it is almost finished, once I'm done I plan on taking photos / video for Rocket, the rest of the DayZ Dev Team, and just the DayZ community in general to see! The base building tools we already have (wire / tank trap / and sandbags) are already pretty powerful and you can make pretty impressive bases so far with those 3 items alone, I can't wait till rocket adds more to the game for the whole base building concept / aspect! Please don't ruin the base building aspect of the game before it even gets off the ground!
