The scariest thing about finding those dead bodies was that each of them had a gun on them, yet i heard no shots at all while in the town. Maybe a lone assassin with a silenced weapon was stalking them. I'll never know, and to be honest, i would not have wanted to find out :P

I was on the coastline with a Lee Enfield and a makarov that i had recently found in the nearest town. I decided to leave to town and find a safe area. As i noticed the coastline, i also noticed a guy running with 3 Zeds chasing him. I went prone to assess the situation. "i have more than enough ammo to save this guy, but what if he kills me?" (he had a winchester rifle) So i decided to type "Friendly! over here!". As soon as i did that, i shot the zombie that was trailing behind. One down, Two left. As i caught up to him, the zombies were attacking something on the floor. I feared that i was too late. So i killed the last two zombies and went to see if the guy was ok. Nothing! No body at all. This was when i realised that the guy had ALT+F4'd out of the game. I was not happy, so i decided to wait for him and show him that ALT+F4'ing has consequences. He logged back in and i shot him once. Instant ALT+F4 again.... So again i waited. About 10 minutes had past and no sign of the kid. So i decided that he had server hopped to save his stuff. Do you think that shooting a player that ALT+f4's is acceptable? Seeing as i was trying to save him aswell. I would have happily helped him with anything he needed. Please remember that i had no intentions of betraying this player after i had killed those zombies before you reply :P

KOS is increasingly more common but that's just because of mistrust and bad experiences. I've been playing for a week and a half (i think) and i have only ever walked into one person that has not tried to kill me. This guy had no weapon at all and i had an axe. Who knows? maybe once we found weapons he may have killed me for my stuff. Most of the time if you don't KOS, you'll be the one on the floor with no brain left....

That sounds like a great idea. Could also have it so that if you get hit while the 30 seconds are counting down, it cancels (you probably wouldn't need that feature considering 30 seconds is enough time to kill someone).

There should be some sort of way that delays an F4 so that the player closes the game but the character stands there and take all damage for a while. That would be one way to deter these scrub players.

Ok so i've died countless amounts of times on this game. Some from being stupid, but some from bandits. At the moment i'm on my third day of survival. I have a lee enfield rifle, a couple of mags, an auto morphine injector and a couple of other things. I'm just having a lot of trouble finding food at the moment :/ I've been searching for a hunting knife for a while but i don't want to go into any main areas yet in case i die. Are there any specific buildings that spawn food and/or hunting knives quite a lot? Or will i just have to rely on luck? I'm fairly new to this mod so I don't know much, so any help would be appreciated :)

I was searching for about half an hour for food when i came across a massive building site. I took a look around in there but there was just a jerry can. I was quite desperate for food at the time so i just started killing any zombie i could see. Lucky a hopper dropped a can of beans for me :) I also searched a town for a bit for stuff and found a lot of nice things like binoculars, ALICE pack, a tent, a Makarov and lots of ammo but unfortunately no food (it looked like someone had already looted the shop). I also found a hunting knife so now i just need matches. Honestly i would say to go into a low population server and search towns and cities. Even though the server i was on ended up being full, i still had no trouble in the town (maybe a few snipers just let me be ;) )

He may have just gotten worried that i was going to kill him. But i really do not see the need to that. What's the point of playing a survival game when you're just going to take the easy way out every time something happens :/

Every time i aim down sight with my Lee Enfield, the gun shakes like crazy and spazzes out. This makes it impossible for me to aim at anything. Does anyone know what is wrong? Extra info: My hunger bar is really low if that helps...

The mod is not just about shooting anything that gets in your way (although it seems like it with the experiences i've had haha). I think that most new players, if spawned with a weapon, would probably just run around shooting everything they can until they die and then rinse/repeat. This would mean they won't get to see the other great things this mod has to offer until they get bored of dying 20 feet away from where they started. I have to admit, it is frustrating when you search for hours to find a weapon, only to die a few minutes later to a bandit, a zed or a startled player. But every time i've died, i have learnt little things that might just save my life in a similar situation. tl;dr: If new players stick to it, they'll learn eventually :3

Ok well i have a hatchet, but that's about it for the hunting side of things. Just out of curiosity, if my character doesn't find any food for a while, will i just pass out? or eventually die?
