Guys, use dayzCommander
resin_ replied to yousolold@yahoo.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yea.. slander was unnecessary here. I prefer DayZ Commander myself, here is what you're missing if you use Six Launcher. -Many more filtering options -Ability to see if all necessary files involving DayZ are up to date, choose whether to update or downgrade -Friends list -
Try "verifying the integrity of your game cache" if you purchased through steam. Simply right click the game in your library and go to properties. It's in there somewhere.

That's a hard thing diagnose, check your firewall(s) maybe?

This is why I hate hackers.

Nothing like losing the burden of good gear and going back to shooting people with a Makarov from the top of the school in Elektro lol -
It's simple, you kill the Batman.

Still playing?...let everyone know how you feel about dayz right now

I voted, but this vote is irrelevant; and please do not take any offense to my response pooya. It's unfortunate that this has to be beaten into the ground: this mod is in alpha. Those who vote "no" are not contributing to the point of an alpha. -
How to find out your pc specs WITHOUT additional software
resin_ replied to gorg_graggel's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Nice post. For the lazy: 1.) In Windows Vista / 7, click start. Right click Computer, and select properties. Read. 2.) Google your computer's model number, chances are the their site will show you the specs. -
Anyone interested in starting a DayZ video series?

Sure, why not. Got a bunch of active buddies who might want to participate as well. PM me when you're putting things together. -
Your typical rant about hackers and bad Dayz day.

It happens to everyone nowadays :/ Best advice I can give (which is obvious) is just a community-owned server that has a strong population, chances are they have more admins to monitor. I've been able to dodge alot of hackers/script kiddies this way. -
I would recommend using DayZ Commander over Six Launcher, it will let you choose whether or not to upgrade or downgrade. Otherwise, you will have to do a manual update, (which isn't hard) by downloading the files from dayzmod.com and overwriting your current files with the new ones in C:/program files/steam/...operation arrowhead/@dayz/addons

If it hasn't already been mentioned, try changing your memory setting under video options to default or lower.
