This has been discussed many times, and will hopefully be implemented in some way soon. Rocket has already stated that the Hive now tracks your disconnect patterns, just waiting for that to progress to something more.

That's a good thing, means its grabbing what's missing. Then you're gonna wanna launch OA once and exit out, then get to installing DayZ & the lastest Arma II beta patch. (I'd recommend DayZ Commander if you don't use it already) Good Luck!

Sounds like a possible script kiddie. I hate to say it, but you're going to see a lot more "weird" things as you continue to playtest. Just be patient, and don't get attached to your gear :)

The thermal AS50 is scripted in, but you will not be punished for having it. Only the person who scripted it will, so enjoy it!

A manual update is pretty much your last option unless your patient and wait for them to change the host. It's easy, just do a quick search!

I'd say keep server hopping, specifically to servers not running your version of DayZ; that might trigger something. Best of luck!

If you are not on a veteran server, yes, people can see you if you make noise. In my experience though, the map and GPS show zombies frequently as well.

Voice chat in game has a radius in which people can hear you, and you cannot hear yourself talk. That may have been obvious, just my attempt at being helpful B)

If you are running 1.7.2.5, try joining a server that runs an older version of DayZ; that might spawn yuh on the coast. Otherwise, roll around and maybe scream at people running by so they can stop and laugh. ;)

Here we go! 1.) Download the torrent here : http://dayzmod.com/?Download 2.) Extract the folder with the 10ish files to your desktop. 3.) Navigate to C:/program files/steam/.../Operation Arrowhead/@dayz/addons 4.) Overwrite the files you downloaded over the files in that addons folder. 5.) Done. Download Dayz Commander so you never have to do that again :)

It all depends! If you're going to play Arma II & OA, then yes. If you're going to help playtest DayZ, then yes. :P

It is a scripted weapon, but you will not be penalized for having it. Only people scripting the items in will be banned. Enjoy it while you have it!

Are you running DayZ version 1.7.2.5 and trying to connect to a server 1.7.2.4 or lower? It has been known to cause hangtime and "reset" your character.

I agree, it confuses me to this day. When I first started, I thought it meant you needed painkillers; obviously not the case. Most of the time it doesn't effect me at all, but sometimes I end up unconscious like you were saying.

I always try to befriend people, and 98% of the time they shoot on site. While I love that aspect of the game, it would be nice if it were "easier" to meet people to play with.

Why can't I be that lucky! I got gunned down by admin in a chopper last night, no remorse. All I wanted was a ride :(

Sounds like a bad day. Unfortunately it only takes a small amount of people to ruin things for a large amount, so my best suggestion is to continue looking for that "perfect server". It took me a while, but I've found a few ran by communities that are pretty well monitored.
