The Hunter Backpack with 30 slots is smaller than the Mountain Backpack with 35, but at the same time it's olive, making it hard to spot." This is intentional, stuff doesn't have to be balanced. This is not an issue.

  6. So I've been emxperiementing with blood types and various things like cleaners and other stuff by force feeding and using medical equipment on fresh spawns. All of them were happy to participate. Even though the casualty rate was very high. Great times! Handcuffs help out as well! So much death... But so much knowledge I already knew tested out in the field!
  7. Death is not always to answer. Sometimes I like them to suffer first! Or leave them with a disease!I also do not clean the medical equipment ever!
  8. This one player I met said he was brand new and knew nothing about the game. I slapped a random blood type in him. And he fainted repeatedly and looked really sick. I told him he was sick before I started and that I had the medical equipment to heal him.

    How the alpha could be MUCH BETTER

    The whole dumbed the game down/ making it easier was what people screamed about in Arma. Now it's not even considered a simulator anymore. FFS stay away from BI games if you want it to be easier or less realistic.

    That's what happened with Arma 3... How can Dayz stop this from happening to it as well?
  13. Here is some information for those who do not understand. 1. The night and day cycle is 24hours real time. 2. There are many servers that have a timeline set opposite to North America. So it's day on the server when it's night for you. (I have found many of them) 3. Day and night are a fact of life. Why should we remove that because it's not easy for people? You can do fun things like log on late at night and in the dark rob your enemies base. 4. It is a bad idea to allow 24/7 day servers because people will always go for the easiest way. Meaning no more night time on popular servers. 5. The darkness at night is determined by the phase of the moon. Example: Full moon means bright night and easy to see while no moon means incredibly dark. It's one of the features of the Arma series of light based on moon phase. 6. Complaining that changing brightness and gamma don't make you have night vision? That's good that this is fixed! Night time should always exist with the full 24 hour day and night cycle. You want your server to be day? Choose a time zone that allows this. This should answer people's questions on day and night in Dayz because from what I see, not many people know this.

    That's because those 24/7 daylight servers are not really that. They are daylight at a time that the server owner set. Try to find a server that is day time at the time you normally play. True 24/7 daylight servers should not be allowed ever in the standalone vanilla, there should always be night, though the server owner chooses when that is.
  15. You can switch to a server that currently has night or day at any time. Or wait until it's later in real life then log onto your server. This is the crap from the private hives spoon feeding the player and taking away anything that is difficult for the player. We do not need this in the vanilla standalone game.

It does and I did not say that, that is time zones, those servers still have a 24 day and night cycle. 24/7 daylight means it's never night or they constantly change it to be day, which should not be allowed. Pick a time zone and accept that there will be a day and night cycle. People always go for the easier stuff, so don't give things easier to them and they won't need it.

    Sorry, didn't mean to be rude. But something else to consider is the phase of the moon affects how light the night is.But you can always use Polaris as your own personal sky compass.

    Please research. The light at night is based on the lunar cycle. No moon = really dark. Full moon = easy to see.

    It's the same as real life. Which is around October 4th so shorter days and longer nights. It has day and night simulation for every day of the year. Instead of complaining about this awesome feature, play on servers with a time zone that is daytime at the time you want to play. Trust me there are plenty of them already.

    No. Higher caliber can be used for more penetration, against body armor and other protection.

    The mod was realistic and people liked that. No stupid balance to worry about it was just realistic. We don't need to go down the stupid balance path with endless complaining and making it a slugfest. It should stay realistic as people liked how they could become overpowered in the mod but there is always a chance a lower tier player can kill them and then become overpowered. We don't need the stupid overpowered and underpowered philosophy in the standalone ever!
