Chernarus is modelled off of October 4th in the real world Chernarus. That means the vegetation, sun position, day and night cycle and everything else was collected from that day. Of course you can change the date things will change realistically.

"I never want night to exist! I want easy mode daytime!" <-------- This is the poison private hives brought in the mod.The best ay is for server admins to choose when they want day and night via the location. Without the stupid time abuse we see now.

You'd only have blood on you if you were in the spatter zone, and even with melee weapons it's possible to avoid blood. Blood is also not a safe fluid. You realize KOS is considered fine by the developers right? -

So the PvP kiddies are complaining that they can't have military spawns to aid their KOS and PvP on the East section of the map? That fine that the map is actually different in places, give you a chance to get away from things. -

We are talking an.out simulating each gun's real life recoil, "damage", penetration, magazine size, fire rate, bullet speed, bullet type, ect... CSGO is an e-sport shooter, the exact opposite gun characteristics of what people want in dayz. -
But please no stupid MMO base building or house crap, let's try to keep it realistic. Stuff should never disappear on death. My house and my car don't disappear in real life if I die, so they shouldn't do so in game. Why build a big evident house? People will break it and rob it. Store things in a hole.

Nothing should ever despawn if a player dies. If I die in real life, my car still exists. were will players get the materials for building houses? I would much rather have dean hall do it his way instrad of the easy mode origins or epoch/ all those mods methods. If You use wood, I should be able to burn the house down. If you use something that can't stop a car then that's great too.

Since TOH, Arma games have had humidity scripting commands, so we could have humidity affect bullets. Wind is something that is planned for Dayz I think. -

I would like for their to be a chance that a players dead bodies to rise up and become zombies. This could occur in a time frame of 1-10 minutes after the player has died. It is likely the virus is inside everyone but the current survivors are carriers to the virus. Which is why if the virus was not world wide, rescue would be out of the question. This would cause people even when dead to become a hazard and would promote closer team work. This would also be more realistic than having players 100% immune to the virus. -

I do not watch the walking dead. I was referring to the survivors as being hosts to the virus. Just like other real life virus' they would be using the person as a host to spread to other people rather than killing off their transportation. -

Dayz is brutal. It doesn't give you a helping hand or guide/ protect you. You get shot even unarmed. It's survival not a shooter. Live with that or go play the mod. -

This is also for immersion. If I play on a server, I want to be able to experience night and day on it rather than server hopping for a change in day time. Servers would set the approximately 12 hours of day time for when people normally play on them. This allows for "day time servers" and "night time servers" depending on when you play. Night is a fact of life. Deal with it. -

This is about the finished game. If I log in on the complete opposite time that the server was day, it should be night. The server owner will be able to set exactly when they want their approximately 12 hours of daylight to be. But gives the chance for covert night ops and raids on bases that are not hindered by daylight. -

You mean when every server is 24/7 daylight? You set the time zone to be day when you want to play and that's it. Then when people log in at the opposite time, they can sneak around at night while your not playing.Not the stupid care bear time abuse servers that currently exist. -

Then pick a server that is day when you play. This solution is not game breaking either. No 24/7 daylight servers on the vanilla public hive. Private servers can do as they please. -
Realistic is one of the defining aspects of BI's games. Not some stupid arcade weapons, realistic are much more enjoyable and fun. No one cares whether things are balanced or have meaning. If they are realistic we don't get the stupid "buff this and nerf that" crap that other games have. The whole elitism thing with "it's a game, realistic is not fun because every other game tries to be arcade" Needs to go as well.
