Hi all, Since the release of DayZ Standalone, we have all noticed a never ending amount of repetitive posts/complaints referring to the same damn thing. Its going to take the Devs years to sort through all the tears from the past few weeks which is going to delay the fixing of these issues. So.... I have come up with an idea of doing a poll where you can select one thing you think needs to be changed and hopefully the Devs will pick what the community wants most and fixes said issue thus stopping 60% of tears and allowing them to concentrate on other things or have a life. I have picked the top 10 complaints from both the Forum and DayZ Bug Report/Feedback site since SA was released. If you vote, please only vote if you believe that it is of utmost importance and needs to fixed ASAP. This poll is probably not going to stop these annoying repetitive posts and even if said change is fixed, more repetitive posts will probably appear and annoy everyone again. At that point, I hope that BI or the Devs would have created a filter to stop multiple threads regarding the same issue(s). Be4st

I was going to put that on the list but like it says, its a list of the top 10 complaints. AFAIK Dean is constantly working on the Zed issue and has some decent ideas for them.

Don't forget that the system he bought is running Vista... ewww... Vista isn't the most optimized OS. There are also loads of un-needed services and programs you can disable to improve performance. I use Razer Game Booster with a custom services file, BlackViper Win7 Tweaks (Has Vista too but be careful using it if you have no idea what you are doing) and use Ccleaner or run 'msconfig' and take out all the crap that starts when your PC boots (again, if you don't know what you are doing, this can screw up your PC). There are also tweaks for DayZ out there where you modify the DayZ config files. That helped me gain an extra 20 FPS with my crappy nVidia 450 GTS.

I play EvE Online alot and the mechanic they use is awesome. Basically, If you have aggression(combat timer) and you log off, you warp off and stay in space for 5 minutes and someone has to find you if they want to kill you. If you are currently engaged in battle and you log off, you basically stay there if warp scrambled and you die. Pod goes too if there is a Sabre pilot near you. muhahaha If I remember rightly, DayZ Origins had something in place to stop this. When you logged off, regardless of a combat timer, your character would have a really dramatic fake death animation so you knew for a fact they logged off.

Steam do an auto run feature. Google it. I have never used it though. I have my trusty coin or piece of card to hand. It works wonders as I smoke alot and roll my own as I run and just occasionally tweak the mouse so I don't get stuck on trees. ***EDIT** My bad. Apparently they disabled the Steam Autorun in DayZ SA

Hence the poll. I know its in Alpha, you know its in Alpha but all the people complaining are either sharing their opinion and failing to use the search function or they do no understand the concept of an Alpha and think they were robbed of their parents cash. This poll is just to make it a little easier on the Devs (if they ever read it). Hopefully, they will see that say 70% of people want something done urgently and go ahead and put it on a priority list and bang it out in the next update and then less people will be complaining.

I know they are the biggest things to fix but they should have their own separate vote as they are separate problems. The game is not unplayable. Unplayable means that you CANNOT play it whatsoever. You can play it, you just chose not to.

Dean has mentioned that character wipes WILL happen in SA but that has only happened to me once. The random wipes people are getting are down to the server hosting company not setting the server up right. Rocket cannot do anything about that. I was thinking of adding this personally but Rocket knows about the issue and is probably working on it.

F3 is to sit and you have to bind, say F4 to 'Taunt' which is in the control settings. Under the interaction drop-down menu if I remember rightly

I use a SteelSeries Siberia V2. Its not 7.1 or even 5.1 but I hear crystal clear audio and when playing DayZ, I can hear EXACTLY where the shot came from. This was majorly improved when I started to use a free tool called Razer Surround and set it up correctly. Others have said that nothing can beat the SteelSeries Siberia V2 combined with the Astro A40 Mixamp for game sound including the flashy £500 headsets. And what's even more awesome (and I can personally vouch for this), is that SteelSeries was pretty damn cool when my headset broke after 8 months. They sent me out a brand spanking new one and a new 3 year warranty.

Wait? there's PvE only servers for SA? I am so hopping on this shit. My 'Tear' cup needs filling...

Yeah, I was going to link that also. What's funny is the hacker said he was only doing it so he could kill snipers with his hax. He must be really butthurt and probably died once to a sniper and lost 2 cans of beans. I hope BI/Dev team can fix that. But then again, he could just do it the slow way and server hop like a boss to get a better tactical advantage

I can't find a thread about this but I thought I'd let the devs and others know that the downtime was due to a DDoS attack from a hacker group called DERP. https://twitter.com/DerpTrolling They have spent the past few days f*cking up all MMO servers/websites and its more than likely going to continue

I don't think so no. They have taken down all things EvE Online, WoW, DOTA2, Guild Wars 2, Runescape and World of Tanks. There may be others but that's all I can remember. Oh and they personally targeted a Twitch.tv streamer and forced him to play DOTA 2. If he won, they would leave it alone and if he lost, DOTA 2 would get screwed and he lost. They also got the guy arrested

They should just take the zoom out. Its not realistic unless you are a velociraptor (they were supposed to have binocular vision). And if the dot was removed, people would just get the dot another way (overlay or chewed up paper stuck to screen)

With a VSS yes, but I have been shot multiple times from silly distances with a CheyTac and KSVK

The 500m warning would not work. The majority of KOS people are hiding in a bush with a sniper doing some awesome 1500m shots

It has been mentioned a load of times today, yesterday and even all the way back to when the mod was learning to walk. Lrn2search bro. This is like the 5th server hopping thread I have seen today. On a side note, your idea could work but it would involve the server doing more crap and slowing down the server/hive. I suggested way back that you have coding like in DayZ Epoch trader cities that doesn't allow you to log out in a town/city/military complex and you have to wander out to the nearest field or forest to log out. Anyone that alt+F4's or D/C's there would either be knocked out upon log in or teleported to the nearest tree line away from said city/town/military area.

Rocket said he was going to put Heli's in but not just anyone can fly it. His ideas for the game were somewhere along the lines of 'If you can't do that IRL, then you can't do it in DayZ' (he was on about hacking security systems on bases if my memory is correct) So to me, that means only a select few people who know how to fly a Heli will be flying them. The rest of the people that try will probably crash and burn

Only if it was yellow and had "Trotters Independent Trading Co" on the side of it... They may not be eastern European but I can guarantee you that there would at least be a few around

There's a number of vehicles I would want in. My decisions go off the understanding that Rocket would want older cars being in DayZ. My first choice would have to be a Citroen AX GT as it was my first and only car I have owned and I loved it. Small thing, quick as hell: Next would have to be a Mini. Not the new one.
