    Ruining ARMA 2?

This 'lone wolf style' is more so part of the mod than it is the new blood. Currently the incentives for working together as a team do not outweigh killing anything which moves etc. Of course there will always be 'jerks' in any community, but when a game almost encourages you to shoot first and ask questions later, that trait is going to appear on the fore a lot more and blamed upon the influx of players.

    Ruining ARMA 2?

Can someone point me to where it's stated that new players have to play by the same rules and philosophy as the older ARMA 2 community? Didn't think so. Does this difference make them retards and trolls? I'd think not, fresh blood and views can never hurt, especially in such an elitist community. (While the whole is not elitist, they are your major source of vocal outrage) Heaven forbid if you actually learn and adapt to the influx of newer members and strengthen the overall community from it, or perhaps the club is no longer exclusive...

    depth and choice with weapons

Not worried about how people on the forums view me. Anyway, while the Skorpion is in ARMA, to my knowledge it is not currently employed within the mod, hence its inclusion. With the Bren, it isn't a future project, it was adopted as the new primary assault rifle, made public last year in Feb. Unlike say the XM8 which everyone thought was going to be the next replacement to then see it cancelled. In regards to the complaints, look at our own F88 (Modified AUG for others), It had various complaints and issues when compared to the SLR. You'll find most military and law enforcement groups will have some form of complaint/dislike to a new weapon when they had another for example in CZ, 50 odd years lol.

    depth and choice with weapons

God you sound like someone looking for something to stroke your ego. Regarding the original topic, if someone has the time and interest, there are plenty of firearms available for use. Of course some will have similar roles and attributes to others, but that choice alone can add depth and authenticity. In CZ alone, which to my knowledge the map is based off, contains a plethora of potential firearms. Just a few for note would be: CZ 52 - Old service pistol which fired the 7.62x25mm round. (A few drop in 9mm barrels were made. CZ 82/3(Civillian) - 9mm/ 380 and 32 ACP CZ 75 - 9mm/ 40 S&W - More common worldwide as an export pistol CZ 805 BREN A1 - Their response to the FN SCAR, visually similar. Vz. 61 Skorpion - SMG, most know what the skorpion is. Sako TRG - More affiliated with around the world for target shooting, offers another bolt platform with various ammunition types. Again, they are just an example of what is out there without even going into civillian/sport models. The content in regards to weapons is there, it's just having the time and need to invest in them.
