seems like you retextured all the vehicles and reduced the spawnrates and removed certain stuff, but did you also add more content, make the map bigger added new buildings? i need to know more

we all know that you can get sick in DayZ if you go swimming for a while, or up a high snow covered mountain and you need a heatpack and or antibiotics to fix you up, but what about maps like fallujah and takistan and whatever map that are set in a hot climate, pretty much all you do there is run in the desert and stuff, so why not have a feature that can cause heatstroke which makes you dizzy and tired and you cant sprint unless you get some water or other drink.. dont know if this has been braught up before but it would be a nice feature to add into the game

Hi there had the same exact problem a few weeks back (this worked for my verion of Arma 2 free and Arma 2 OA retail copy) Here is what i did i opened regedit (just type that in the search bar in your taskbar or open it in program files or whatever) Deleted both arma folders in both of these folders : - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Bohemia Interactive Studio And reinstalled my arma 2 OA an arma 2 free into one folder and used Playwithsix to update my dayz mod and all the other maps And about that business with dayzcommander not working it might not find the patch your arma2 is installed but i guarantee if you use playwithsix and set the arma 2 and arma 2 oa into the gamefile directory you can easily download new maps and update them very easily, i have been playing for 3 weeks like this without any problems Hope this helped you

maybe.. havent experienced that problem myself but dayz commander is glitchy for me aswell, maybe try useing sixlaunher or something to update your files and try dayzcommander again..?

well fore one thing if by re purcase the game you mean by the standalone it would have to be moderately cheap because nobody wants to pay for a game and die in the first hour or so and then buy a new copy for 30£ also the PVP would probably be nerfed (by that I mean safezones and all that..) but it sure would make the game more exciting than it is now

good point, but how many hidden caves do you expect to find in one map plus with the water overflowing it might be used to grief by hackers ? with the slow-ass swimming animation you do not want to cross any overflowed ponds in elektro or anywhere with alot of fighting going on

i have this error when im trying to join Cell or Namalsk and i tried t reinstal the maps on dayz commander and all that so i need some help... also my game is a retail copy and arma 2 free

think about it.. how cool would it be to have a CD that you can put in your car stereo system (most cars have a stereo) and add custom songs into the game folder to make your own playlists, think how much more fun we can have when you are chasing a bandit on a ATV with the Benni Hill theme or the flight of the falcons when you are in a chopper or whatever..

Its just not the same.. think of a more simpler way to play music so you dont have to compromise your ability to quickly voice chat to a team mate if danger is near.. just bind a hotkey to play music and stop music..

i have the same problem, and I cannot open arma 2 OA, when I do it says wrong serial given at startup... uninstalled everything reinstalled correctly and still the same shit, so im just going to wait for SA or if there is a fix then help me

Its Bad if its too cheap and its also bad when its too expensive, plus im not 18 yet so i cant get a credit card to buy it and my stupid country doesnt work with paypal basically FML...

today while ging to enjoy another day of playing the dayz mod and i got this little surprise as i started up the game "wrong serial given at startup" at first i was freaking out thinking that someone stole my cd-key or something but then i searched the internet for solutions someone said that i need to start arma2 and arma2 OA at the same time to update the cdkeywhateverthishitmeans, I could start arma 2 bot not Arma 2 OA beacuse it is still giving me an error "wrong serial given at startup", so i reinstalled the game fresh without any mods or anything and tried to install everything again with the guide I used when i first installed dayz but still every time i tried something it says "wrong serial given at startup" at this point im already relly pissed and out of ideas so im asking for help here if there is no way to fix this, i dont really care because i will get the standalone when it comes out, but I would really like to play dayz until it comes out

There already are quite alot of mods that allow players to gather resources and build strongholds for example the chernarus wasteland mod, you can load buildings into your car and take them to your base, but I dont know about the underground part, might be tricky

i also have 4 gigs of ram and i am going to buy 8gig corsair in a week or so

simply copy the "Launch arma II OA patch" from your arma 2 operation arrowhead folder to your desktop and start the game from there or join servers via dayz commander
