I usually try to run or flank them and then shoot, but then again there are so many different cqc factors which contribute to my choice, what type of weapon do they / I have, where I am located, if I/they have people with them. -

Did you download the beta patch? dayz commander is probably your best bet though I still do it the manual way, I have no clue why though

M14 is a very good rifle go with that, also check out the traders and traitors list if your afraid of untrustworthy people.

Technically no. Its not against the rules, but that would be boring to have end game stuff so quickly

You can't punch sadly. Items on the ground or body is on the left to bring it to your inventory move it to the right.
