Hey I'm just looking for someone to team up with, I'm about to get on DayZ right now. I currently don't have a "home" server but I will be willing to stay at the right one with the right person. I'm used to playing heavily modded private servers so i want to give Vanilla another chance. I have ts3 and skype available. My skype is ryan.saw4 As far as play style goes I'm a survivor in a bandit skin. I don't KoS but I will defend myself and my partner if needed. I've been playing for about a year now so I can be a good partner to team up with.

Hey guys, I've been playing for a little over a couple months now and I'm looking for a solid group to play with. I used to have a group but they sort of fell apart. Story behind me, I play casually. When I do have a day off, I usually spend most of it playing Day Z however I'm not free to play every single day. Looking for other players that would like to add me on Skype just to hang out, loot shit together, go bandit hunting, maybe even help out survivors with each others cover. I've been in a couple clans and I do like them, but I'm not as active so noone really knows me that well haha. my skype is ryan.saw4 add me and feel free to ask what server I'm on.

I've got a pretty solid group of people that I've been playing DayZ with almost nightly. We have been tossing around the idea of finding a "home server" but don't know how to choose, and if it's even worth it. With the tent/vehicle bugs would it even matter if we had a home server? I love the idea of setting up camp and having our own hidden space that we generally hang out at and drop our loot from the day but if it's bugged then the whole "Don't get too attached to your gear" rule takes over. Just looking for thoughts, opinions, and other players' experience with finding a server to call home.

That's actually a pretty good idea for dealing with it. I was thinking maybe once our group gets bigger we can all start paying for our own server. Invite anyone who wants to come teamspeak/mumble/whatever but that way we can also deal with server restart problems on our own.

I'd be all for it if voice wasnt disabled. I like being able to take to people I run up on, that way I have a slight chance of not getting killed on sight =P.

I love the idea of having a camp...even if people tried to loot it. Gives me something to defend, and to call mine. We've spent numerous hours repairing vehicles too and had them disappear. However, my thought on that is that it's fun while you have it so take advantage while you can haha.

I found a set group of people I play with almost nightly, most fun ever. No matter how many times we die, we end up finding something fun to do.

I'm sure having zombies alive all over across the server would cause waaaayyyy too much lag. Too much AI to account for. Fireworks would be cool to see though.

So I was running around Elektro with 3 of my friends today on a fairly empty server and we start heading to the school, thinking nobody is really on this server so it's most likely safe. We get there and loot around and theres a BUNCH of stuff, must've freshly spawned or something. We're running around in the school picking stuff up, then all of a sudden we hear silenced rounds hitting the floor next to us. I immediately drop to the floor and start crawling all the while I'm getting shot at. Well, I end up getting tagged 3 different times, mostly on my leg but I end up crawling to an empty room and bandaging myself. I'm laying down with 3k blood and tell my friend to come blood bag me, so he comes to the room and just as he's about to enter, he gets dropped. The reason we came to the conclusion that it was hackers, is that we were inside of a room at one point with NO vantage point and we were still having bullets hit the ground, we swept the building and found no people. To conclude this story, I changed servers worried about the hacker. When I spawned I had a broken leg, 3k blood and no morphine. Crawled to the hosptial, found absolutely no morphine injectors and it was a fresh respawn on loot. I go hide around a corner behind the church to wait for my friend and as I'm waiting I began typing this. As soon as I got to the 3rd paragraph my friend told me in skype "Dude it just said Mansaw died." So yeah, I died sharing my survival story. Cool story bro...

Oh sweet, when I respawned there were a bunch of dead bodies fully loaded with gear, including my old one. Probably a hacker...

So I was playing on a low population server just to help get a hang of looting NWAF without dealing with all the people. Mapping out all the areas and whatnot. As I'm approaching airfield, I suddenly am freefalling in a group of parachutes and when I land, I end up out in the middle of nowhere walking super slowly. Was like...what the eff mate? Put it in third person view and I'm a cow. Anyone else have this happen?

I spend most of my time online during the day during the week, but I'm also in a fairly active band so I'll have bursts of inactivity every now and then. However any down time I have usually goes towards DayZ. Experience In Dayz: Realistically, only about a couple weeks now. I've spent hours upon hours in game some days and others I'll just stop playing after a death. I'm new to the "classes" idea but willing to learn specific roles if needed. I am good at looting the city, and have learned that the biggest threat isn't zombies, but mostly other people. I do not KOS, I always say friendly multiple times from afar to ensure the safety of the both of us. I'm a new player looking to link up with some others. I'm willing to download skype, mumble, or teamspeak in able to talk with someone. Until then, I'm going to be roaming random servers not knowing what I'm doing until someone PMs me or posts here.

I'm also a west coast player. Cali to be specific. I have no idea how to even go about picking the right server for me so lets link up and find one that I can stick to. I'm a newb by the way, but determined to do well. I've watched a ton of tutorial videos and read a bunch of threads already.

750mb at 80kb/s sucks. It sucks even more when the file is corrupt and you have to redownload it...

It's the update to 1.60. I'm running the retail version, not steam.

I would also like to get in on it, I should be finishing the installation not too long from now.
