Hey, I just got back into Dayz! After only playing it on release for about 60h, I got bored and decided to see what DayZ had turned into, and oh boy am I glad I got back into it. Had some fun times and decided to create a little series of some of my most awesome moments. This is my first edit on DayZ ! Sorry If I sounded a little stressed, I had long forgotten how adrenaline rushing pvp on DayZ could be (you cannot imagine how weird it is for me to watch myself freak out like this). Hello fellow survivors It has been a while since I played the game, and I really like the latest improvements, and new additions to the game in alpha phase . Now the reason that I have not played that much is simple, I used to play dayz-mod with a group of friends and just . . . wow, the mod was amazing . So now I wanna talk about what made it so amazing, and why I am keeping such a distance from the standalone. Now my number one reason would be tents, When I play standalone, I can last up to 3/4h having fun gathering supplies and gear. Once that is done, you either have to find ppl to fight/rob in order to keep yourself wanting to play. Why tents ? It adds an extra goal to the game that will keep you occupied for a long time such as getting the required materials to setup camp, getting the right tools to boobytrap it, setting up night watches during the night to avoid a raid while most of the group are offline, not to mention, a safe place to store your valuables and supplies. These are things I miss . . . Here you have an image from our old group post on the dayz forums, you can clearly see howmuch work we put in that base, and the fun we had doing so is indescribable Of course vehicles where hella fun to find and fix in early release of the mod, because now you have all the private hives on the mod with vehicles everywhere, and oh boy, Did I love them rare. Because I want this game to kinda be more about survival than about get gear go shoot/rob people, This should just be an option for a group to take, and the risk would be huge doing so. Anyway guys, What do you think will add fun survival goals to the game to keep us busy ?

i had one, wasn't able to put batteries in it, also could not equip it on the hotbar . . . no idea how they work, mine was badly damaged.

I love the sun at the moment, but think of the future, flying with your helicopter towards the sun . . .I think i wont be able to see shit lol

Hello there Ive played the alpha for a good 20 hours now, and me and my friend noticed that we can only hear gunshots if they get fired really close to us. For example if we are 50 m removed from each other we can't hear each others gunshots So my question is would you like this to stay or changed. Obviously i am not in favor of this, i think it's really nice and scary to hear gunshots in a distance, definitely at night. I don't know if it is a bug at the moment, but if it is i hope they fix it at some point. Anyway post here if you are experiencing the same problem, and whether or not you want this changed. Thnx

well it might not be the highest on the priority list, at least i'm not the only one who thought this needed changing

Try going into your Arma 2 Oa directory and open the folder Directx in there look for the DirecXsetup.exe and run the file and reinstall that directx . that fixed it for me

Hi, Yesterday the whole server (Eu12) got kicked out with this message. (Battleye : Kicked by Script Restriction #12) it happend 2ce, i did a hard restart after that , and it was gone. Any idea what this means ? Is it due to a hack ? We did notice a heli flying around about 10 min before the first kick. And as far as i know i havn't seen any heli's in the server since the vehicles respawn issue. So if you know what the script restriction stands for .... let us know Thnx

I don't think they respawn yet , went around on my server looking for vehicles affter 1.6.0.1 but i couldn't find any , and i know our group got alot of them when the server launched i think we managed to get 1 pickup 1 motorbike 1 atv 2 camo uaz , 1 White Uaz , 1 Vaz .... and a heli. We are a group +-25ppl so it makes sence , but i haven't seen any of these vehicles anywhere as now we have 0 vehicles , and are looking for the ones we lost. I'm constantly looking for cars and helicopters , as somehow it seems my only goal on dayz now . . . We have come to a point where we have alot of gear and cars would be nice . . . Im really waiting for them to bring it back in , as when they where in we had so much fun and half of our play time would be ops with cars and heli drops . . . . but yhea lost them all when our camp got exposed. . . . . . Pls if any of the staff can read this, get the vehicles back in and respawning as soon as possibe , been wating since 1.5.6/7

Hey , We found a boat , and all it needs is fuel , but we cant get the fuel to the boat because when you swim with it it drops out of your inv , and i don't even know if it is possible to refuel when swimming Lol ?

So are vehicles added in or are they respawning now ?

I love all aspects of this game , but what makes the game complete for me is the Heli's and cars. Who doesn't want a quiker way of transportation , a search/adventure looking for these rare driveable things . Since the vehicles got removed i've started playing less , i hope they are added in again soon and the respawn on them is fixed. Somehow this is the most fun part of DayZ for me , getting vehicels !

Good to hear you are working on this. Now i have something to look forward to ! Can't wait until they are back. vehicles are my obsession in Dayz i couldn't live without em. Thanx for informing us

Hey Great work on the last few updates Rocket I'm wondering when the vehicles are gunnabe added in again , i'm running out of ideas on what to do . . . And oh me and heli's ......... <3

Yhea i run/pay for Eu12 trough the olut crew , it had vehicles in 1.5.6 but after 1.5.7 they stopped respawing . Still not respawing on 1.5.8.2 so there is hardly any left. Hope they get it fixed soon , i love vehicles ! =) Tiri : i confirm what you said They don't respawn

So are vehicles that are destroyed gunna respawn on restarts now ? or is that for a later update ? Good work so far , looking forward to 1.5.8
